he was not soldier during his lifetime- only officer or cadet in his childhood, soldier is a gun meat, and officer send him into the fire- its a difference.

Yes, may be I'm mistaken (in saying thing in english, but not the history).

At least he was a great officer and at least Brusilov (some great war leader of the Imperial's Russia) knew him well. That means he was not a regular soldier, for sure.
