this is based on a EB link and I thought the Jerry mpc was the Jerry Slant...the Tenor madness piece is also very good. There are so many variables to make a blanket statement...they are all different. Try a couple would be my advice.
Sounds great. This is supposed to be based on one of Bergonzi's EB Links (just like how the Slant Supreme was based on one of his slants). How would you compare it to the Tenor Madness EB Link?
Hi jay. About a month ago I found an old buscher alto at an auction. It came with a Sparkle-aire mouthpiece. At first I thought this was some crappy stock, but I tried it on my Yamaha and had a bright 50's lead alto sound but was also very versatile in playing bop. I compared it with my regular mayer 5m setup and preferred this sparkle-aire. There was not alot of info about it on google. It's a steel ebonite B5*. Do you know anything about the brand or piece?
@jazzyjake99 I think they are pretty good blanks...i have only heard of the Tenor pieces being opened and playing good. they used to be sold by saxquest
Sounds great!!

@jaythomasjazz According to Brian Powell, both the Slant Supreme and Primo are based off of mouthpieces Jerry had. They're both Bergonzi copies.
