To everyone else having problems - during the course of this 'bricking' I was getting 1013 and 3194 during various restore attempts but found that as long as you follow the video and download the correct links as indicated by mansu it does work and now I have my phone restored and jailbroken again. Not sure if it makes any difference but my itunes is 10.2.2.14 with win xp and restore to 4.3.3

@linhhuynh03 let try not to use shsh blob. Because last time i used it then the error also is 1. so without shshblob then the error is 1013. but i use two os to do it one is window7 and windowXp. But the window XP works. without shshblob

@simenad hey man it works i just tried it myself, use a different browser or a computer to try it must be just your internet connection, use safari, mozilla, internet, opera or even chrome and im sure it will work gdluck!!
Man, I haven't tried this way but I had tha same problem when downgrading and couldn't get it so just ended up restoring back to 4.3.5 and got tha same error 1013 but what I did was used redsn0w_0.9.9b1 and clicked jailbreak BUT instead of jailbreaking, UNchecked install Cydia and checked deactivate and that kicked it out and back to tha activation screen.
But I'm going to try your method and hopefully it works cuz this tether bullshit sucks ass.
@Sbigsosa yeah i used tethered jailbreak b4 on iOS 4.3.5 but it sucks. because whenever you turn on and off your iDevice, you just have to use your computer to turn it on or run thethered boot. it SUCKS. Then i tried to downgrade it. I feel much more better now. I can turn on and off when ever i want without computer to jailbreak it. well it really works. just because of this video clip made by mansu08. There are some video just like this but it wasnt as good as mansu08 made.

Just use 1) Window XP 2) Itunes 10.3.1.55 3) fixrecovery43 for 4.3.3 iphone 4) it should downgrade from ios 4.3.5 to 4.3.3
@A7xironfist hmm good question buddy i dont really know but im sure that when you update officially through apple it always takes you through to the new firmware so this is only a method to downgrade to a lower firmware which apple doesnt sign to devices anymore cause of a new firmware and thats why you get the error and then fix it thorugh the tutorial!! to update to latest firmware through apple ignore this and just go ahead and do it through them.. bless

Mansu08 - Your instructions worked a treat. I had spent a whole day in and out of different programmes trying to get my phone to work after it locked up and was about to give up when I spotted your link. Nice one ! However you need to do one of two things to improve: either give up with the 'peace' comments or give up on the general aggressiveness regarding 'host files and all that fucking bullshit'. The two just don't go together. However well done on this one.

@thereisnonametotake i think i recognize the problem, first of all makesure that you are downloading the correct fix recovery loop for the correct firmware so for 4.3.3 downlaod the fixrecovery43.exe from the update 12 alond with the Zlib1.dll and makesure these files are extracted using winrar and then put them both together in one folder and then have your itunes runnin and run this program, hopefully should work.. thanks
@k3vin00123 dude thats something to do defs with the sim itself, once the itunes logo is disappreared from the phone and you can use the phone again using my method will not do anything with any of the phones software, its simply to kick the phone out of recovery after a downgrade, peace
@k3vin00123 your itunes is corrupted, you will need to uninstall, download and reinstall a fresh copy of itunes and should work then, follow the tutorial step by step too, or use another computer, peace out!!

@k3vin00123 yeah i know what u mean man, its harder or even impossible to not have your shsh blobs saved before downgradin, always when you have a lower firmware, jailbreak your device first, save shsh blobs using cydia and then when you accidently/purposely upgrade your iphone and wanna downgrade is possible then using my method, peace...

@kalau3 the problem isnt with the device or the software that you using to kick the phone out of recovery,
many people have had this issue its cause your windows is corrupt or the copy of itunes it so i recommend you uninstall your itunes, download a fresh copy from apple and then install the latest version of itunes and repeat the whole step of restoring again and it should work peace out!!

this happened cause your device was on a higher firmware and was downgraded without saving shsh blobs but it might be fixed by following the steps in the link above, peace

thanks for making this video. I was having this problem and it was pissing me off. I still could not get it to work though but I found another way that was even easier.
I just used my wife's computer to restore. I hadnt changed her host file so I had no problems.
the thing is with my host file is that I made a back up and only made changes to the copy. I dont understand why it still would not work when I put back the original host file

I think I may have to do just that. my phone would not charge so I took it to apple retail store yesterday and they put a new battery in it. it works now but get this.....I cannot enter DFU mode !! I don't know what the hell they did but my phone will NOT power off if I hold the home and power buttons. the slide to power off will come up but if I keep holding it it will not turn off thus I cannot enter DFU and cannot re-jailbreak. I didn't want an iPhone 5 but I just might have to.

there are a lot of softwares there to put your phone into dfu mode than holding the home and power button,

in your windows, delete itunes, then download a latest version of it again from apple, install it and i think that will restore the host to original... Goodluck!!
@redhawk2519 hmm im not sure man, i think this is nothing to do with the mobile network its to do with the software, cause if you think of it you are downgrading the software on it not the mobile network, its worth tryin, im sure your network will still work :) try downgrading to the versions on the site that have the software to kick it out of the recovery loop like 4.2.1, 4.3 and upto 4.3.3 peace
so i did a google search and the error "itunes helper not found" is because itunes isnt open when i ran fixrecovery. My problem with that is I minimize itunes and then run FR and itunes automatically closes :/... and fixes for this?
@PwnStarr123 Dude i think you have a problem with your computer windows and itunes, it has nothing to do with the iphone or the downgrade or error, to fix this problem with itunes i suggest you unplug your device first and then uninstall itunes and downland/install a fresh copy of itunes and do the process again peace

@PwnStarr123 Hey me too. But i just fixed it. When it said "the ituneshelper.exe not found" just turn your device into dfu mode. then the program will run. it works. try it out now.
@tribefeend hmm strange buddy, i think you need to use this 'jaxov.com/2011/02/exit-ios-4-2-1-recovery-mode-loop-with-tinyumbrella-fix-recovery/' since you downgraded to 4.2.1 cause mine was downgraded to 4.3.3, each different firmware has a different method of getting it out of activation screen! peace
Freak amazing man. But Im just wondering though, this didn't even make us use any shsh blobs, does that mean that we can downgrade to previous versions say...4.1.x without shsh blobs?
@TheAmmoniteHunter it def should because the ipod is easier to restore than the iphone as its not running on a phone network and doesnt needs to be activiated and you can restore it easily.. download tinyumberella incase and save your shsh blobs and run the tss server and then restore and you shouldnt have any problems, if you get the error i have outlined in the video then watch the tutorial to overcome it, goodluck.

@bhicham19 for your iphone as its new and never jailbroken you dont have an shsh blobs even if you had cydia on this cause you were suppose to have the older firmwares on your iphone before 4.3.5 and thats how you would have saved your shsh blobs but for yours i still recommend get tiny umberella just to save whatever shsh blobs you still have to not pop up the 1394 error
@bhicham19 get tiny umberella and click save shsh blobs and then start tss server and then custom restore your iphone to 4.3.3 and this way you will end up with 1013 error and i have demonstrated on how to fix that issue using the tools provided in the notes of the video, will be an easy and a quick downgrade or simply you can just downgrade without tiny umberella but let me know of what happened peace

Mansu08 - Your instructions worked a treat. I had spent a whole day in and out of different programmes trying to get my phone to work after it locked up and was about to give up when I spotted your link. Nice one ! However you need to do one of two things to improve: either give up with the 'peace' comments or give up on the general aggressiveness regarding 'host files and all that fucking bullshit'. The two just don't go together. However well done on this one.

One problem, my itune keeps closing everytime i launch "fixrecovery"? i put fixtrecovery in one map with dll. Do you reconize this problem? :)

@thereisnonametotake i think i recognize the problem, first of all makesure that you are downloading the correct fix recovery loop for the correct firmware so for 4.3.3 downlaod the fixrecovery43.exe from the update 12 alond with the Zlib1.dll and makesure these files are extracted using winrar and then put them both together in one folder and then have your itunes runnin and run this program, hopefully should work.. thanks

@k3vin00123 dude thats something to do defs with the sim itself, once the itunes logo is disappreared from the phone and you can use the phone again using my method will not do anything with any of the phones software, its simply to kick the phone out of recovery after a downgrade, peace

@k3vin00123 your itunes is corrupted, you will need to uninstall, download and reinstall a fresh copy of itunes and should work then, follow the tutorial step by step too, or use another computer, peace out!!

@k3vin00123 yeah i know what u mean man, its harder or even impossible to not have your shsh blobs saved before downgradin, always when you have a lower firmware, jailbreak your device first, save shsh blobs using cydia and then when you accidently/purposely upgrade your iphone and wanna downgrade is possible then using my method, peace...

@kalau3 the problem isnt with the device or the software that you using to kick the phone out of recovery,
many people have had this issue its cause your windows is corrupt or the copy of itunes it so i recommend you uninstall your itunes, download a fresh copy from apple and then install the latest version of itunes and repeat the whole step of restoring again and it should work peace out!!

this happened cause your device was on a higher firmware and was downgraded without saving shsh blobs but it might be fixed by following the steps in the link above, peace

first i suggest you get tinyumberella from google,
and then save your shsh blobs using it,
after start tss server and then do the steps of restoring of 4.3.3 using my tutorial,
this way it might be safe and avoid getting error 3194,

thanks for making this video. I was having this problem and it was pissing me off. I still could not get it to work though but I found another way that was even easier.
I just used my wife's computer to restore. I hadnt changed her host file so I had no problems.
the thing is with my host file is that I made a back up and only made changes to the copy. I dont understand why it still would not work when I put back the original host file
do you know why that is?

I think I may have to do just that. my phone would not charge so I took it to apple retail store yesterday and they put a new battery in it. it works now but get this.....I cannot enter DFU mode !! I don't know what the hell they did but my phone will NOT power off if I hold the home and power buttons. the slide to power off will come up but if I keep holding it it will not turn off thus I cannot enter DFU and cannot re-jailbreak. I didn't want an iPhone 5 but I just might have to.

there are a lot of softwares there to put your phone into dfu mode than holding the home and power button,
i will give you 1 to try the dfu using them ok :)

@redhawk2519 hmm im not sure man, i think this is nothing to do with the mobile network its to do with the software, cause if you think of it you are downgrading the software on it not the mobile network, its worth tryin, im sure your network will still work :) try downgrading to the versions on the site that have the software to kick it out of the recovery loop like 4.2.1, 4.3 and upto 4.3.3 peace

so i did a google search and the error "itunes helper not found" is because itunes isnt open when i ran fixrecovery. My problem with that is I minimize itunes and then run FR and itunes automatically closes :/... and fixes for this?

@PwnStarr123 Dude i think you have a problem with your computer windows and itunes, it has nothing to do with the iphone or the downgrade or error, to fix this problem with itunes i suggest you unplug your device first and then uninstall itunes and downland/install a fresh copy of itunes and do the process again peace

@mansu08 For some reason this isnt working for me... ugh... ive been trying to fix this for about 3 days now..i start fixrecovery and it gives me an error saying something like "the ituneshelper.exe not found". i followed all the steps on your video and on the website. if you have a fix for that please try and help me... it goes through with the rest of the matrix crap but still goes back to the connect to itunes thing for recovery mode... someone please help me!!

@tribefeend hmm strange buddy, i think you need to use this 'jaxov.com/2011/02/exit-ios-4-2-1-recovery-mode-loop-with-tinyumbrella-fix-recovery/' since you downgraded to 4.2.1 cause mine was downgraded to 4.3.3, each different firmware has a different method of getting it out of activation screen! peace

@TheAmmoniteHunter it def should because the ipod is easier to restore than the iphone as its not running on a phone network and doesnt needs to be activiated and you can restore it easily.. download tinyumberella incase and save your shsh blobs and run the tss server and then restore and you shouldnt have any problems, if you get the error i have outlined in the video then watch the tutorial to overcome it, goodluck.

my iphone4 in 4.3.5 is new and not jailboken yet in 4.3.5. so i cants save shsh without cydia instaled on it. what do you say if i restore to 4.3.3 without tinyumbrella and shsh saved??

@bhicham19 for your iphone as its new and never jailbroken you dont have an shsh blobs even if you had cydia on this cause you were suppose to have the older firmwares on your iphone before 4.3.5 and thats how you would have saved your shsh blobs but for yours i still recommend get tiny umberella just to save whatever shsh blobs you still have to not pop up the 1394 error

@bhicham19 get tiny umberella and click save shsh blobs and then start tss server and then custom restore your iphone to 4.3.3 and this way you will end up with 1013 error and i have demonstrated on how to fix that issue using the tools provided in the notes of the video, will be an easy and a quick downgrade or simply you can just downgrade without tiny umberella but let me know of what happened peace

hay mate i did what you said about holding shift down and finding the software and when i go to restore to 4.3.4 from 4.3.5 it comes up ( iphone could not be restored unknown error 3194 ) so i can't even do the rest.whats up with that?
