The reason this hypothesis (it is in no way a scientific theory) seems to have so many holes is because the exodus story is an extreme exaggeration at best, a complete fabrication at worst.
Simcha has now been proven to be a fraud. The scientists he used in The Jesus Tomb have all said on tape that Simcha twisted the meaning of their words to make his point, which was that Jesus is a fraud. The fact that he's now been exposed as a fraud and liar calls into question his Exodus Decoded program, which I loved. Christians aren't trying to destroy his religion. Doesn't it seem awfully arrogant that he's trying to disprove the religion of others? Stop lying, Simcha!

@2009study How many different ways do you need for a quaking of the earth to be described before you decide it is an earthquake? You must not have been listening to the previous videos.
True, everything G-d does is technically a miracle. But then again it's not. G-d set up a set of rules that He was going to run the universe by, and He makes sure to follow these rules most of the time. Sometimes, however, He decided that it was necessary to break the rules, and do something against the regular order of the world. When He does something that breaks the rules of nature, He calls what He did a miracle.
There's only one GOD who created everything including us, he is our creator. He is the king of kings and lord of the lords. You should read the Bible, everything is explaning there...
Because the whole point of the story of the exodus is that G-d performed *miracles*. G-d says in the bible that they were miracles. If they weren't real miracles, He would have used a different word.
If people only knew what actually happened during the plagues, they would never even attempt to explain them scientifically. It wasn't just the water turning red or an infestation of frogs, that isn't miraculous. Hundreds of untold miraculous things actually happened with the plagues.
What so *every* *single* Egyptian was sleeping at that time? Wouldn't you think that SOMEONE wanted to stay up and see if it was going to happen or not? You think that after 9 plagues that came true they wouldn't be a little nervous? You think all the firstborns in Egypt had peace of mind and calmness enough to just go to sleep?!
@hudis78 The average Egyptian would have had no idea who Moses was or what the inner politics of the Pharoah's court was. They didn't have 24 hour cable news.
You honestly don't think they wouldn't have sent messages throughout the land warning people? I would think that they'd want to gather as many people as possible to pray to the gods that it doesn't happen. And EVEN if for some reason only Pharaoh's court would have known... couldn't they also have been curious, or have been too edgy to just go to sleep?
Also, the Egyptians DID know about Moses. When people get hit with crazy plagues they tend to ask questions... and get answers.
@hudis78 No of course not. Even today if a government had a chance to conceal or diminish a natural disaster, they would. Back in 2010 my state's capitol was completely flooded, and hardly a word was spoken on any major news organization, and I watched a lot of news to see if they would cover it.
Few people knew Moses, nowhere near the entire population. This isn't Cheers. Even today a lot of people probably couldn't name who the Vice President was. Back then people only knew "pharoah"
Floods are natural. The plagues weren't. They're a lot harder to ignore and cover up than any natural disaster. And anyway, I don't even think it was the Egyptian court that got the word out. Everyone had Jewish slaves, who were bragging about not being touched by any of the plagues, proclaiming to the Egyptians that their savior was here and that their god was going to take them out of Egypt very soon. If they didn't hear from the government they definitely heard from the Jews.
@hudis78 Thousands of years removed for what's going on right now, we don't know how they would act or what protocol would be for this type of situation. I doubt the Hebrews were bragging about all of the plagues because they were affected by them as well minus the last one. I'd say most Israelites didn't know about Moses's meetings with the Pharoah either.Families wouldn't know.Slavery was less of a household slavery situation and more of a government control one used for construction projects.
See the thing is I'm not getting my information from what I assume happened. I'm getting it from what I learned from Jews who've passed down the information about the exodus to their children, until today. All the Jews and Egyptians knew. Another very important thing though - the Jews were NOT affected by the plagues. It's brought down that during Blood, if a Jew and an Egyptian drank from the same cup of water, for the Egyptian it came out as blood and for the Jew it was water.
@hudis78 I'd have to disagree, even if you claim to know exactly what was going on, that situation would raise its own inconsistencies. if everyone knew, most likely the situation would have played out very differently, and most likely it would have been recorded in Egyptian records of that period if it was such common knowledge, we should records of it all over the place from the traditionally dated period from the Egyptians.
I don't claim to know exactly what happened, but I do claim to know a lot more than the archeologists who only know what happened through ancient excavations. Played out differently in what way?
And there have been Egyptian records found speaking about the Jews, the plagues, and a mass exodus. There are some videos that talk about those discoveries here on youtube. This documentary mentions them too, including one about the plague of hail being made up of both ice and fire.
@hudis78 Personally I would say for me to claim to know a more about ancient Egypt and ancient Jews would be a bit of a tragic conceit given the time they have dedicated to researching the topic compared to my own efforts.
I would just say that if something like that happened the way you suggest, the Pharoah's reactions might be much different and the populace's reactions could very well be different from what you are suggesting. I just think this man's interpretation is within plausible range
It's not conceit. They're doing the best they can for what they have. They've discovered A LOT and it's amazing how much of the past they could uncover. But they piece together history from small clues they find. I don't need research because I have the first hand story passed down through the generations.
Also, how DID the populace react?
The Bible accounts that G-d specifically hardened Pharaoh's heart, because otherwise he surely would have let the Jews go in his situation.
@hudis78 Yes the Bible does speak on this, though it is of course from the Jewish perspective understandably. A more complete picture is what historians and archaeologists seek regardless of whether or not one believes in the divine authorship of the Bible as we do.
Which is why I cannot accept this video as portraying the truth. Being that Judaism claims many, many things that this documentary does not even attempt to prove scientifically or archeologically, in the Jewish standpoint it is wholly incomplete and therefore cannot prove very much. It proves that there was probably an eruption in Santorini that stirred up trouble in Egypt - but it hasn't been proved that this trouble was actually the biblical 10 plagues, though it was similar.
thanks,it seems a nice fit. When there will be enough unbiased open minded scientists and the topic is depoliticized it stands a fair chance of being accepted as main theory. And it seems worth a fair chance. It may not prove the bible right though as it was written much later & thoroughly manipulated to serve the powers that be ( Roman concilea of Nicea 325 AD ) History is fraudulent & we all should just want the truth ( not his story -LoL ) and start to live together on this volcanic planet.
By explaining away Biblical or accounts of the Torah then it's easy to say see? there is no God, no individual creator. The Torah and Bible and Koran were written by primative man and its all nonsense. Thus Science must be god and the enlighted ones the master. Maybe what your leading to is the Aninaki must be gods and your science proves it. I aint buying it The God of Abraham is still and always will be my God. Very cool show though just slightly blasphemous.
it may have surely been from an eruption, but timed RIGHT at the appointed time by God. He still caused it to happen so what if science can explain it. personally i think that when God made this world he didnt just put a hollow volcano or whatever, he made everything to work as it does-which is what we take as science. It happened for a reason... At the same time the people were not let go. Served the purpose.
I think it all happened at the perfect time. Like right place at the right time. It backs up the Bible as it backs up Science. Einstein was right, Science and Religion come from the same tree.

When it was dark the Hebrews had light & oh the cattle, only the egyptians cattle died . The 1st born of all egyptian cattle died too, not one of the Hebrews.
Pretty good episode, no matter how scientist want to justify nature in this intervention, i know it was GOD's hand who cause all of this to happen. And IF GOD permit people to die, was because thats how those people decided to die that way. Blaming GOD is not GOOD, He know why things happen and who are we to judge what GOD does. We dont even understand those things. GOD destine some to pay here in earth and others to enjoy it. It was set before time, decided before earth was ever form.
Wow how cruel is God? Kills all the first born in Egypt (though according to this video he killed the Egyptians indiscriminately) just so a small group of slaves could be set free to wonder the deserts for 40 years killing all in their way with supposed divine authority. Maybe he decided to release his plagues on the people in Cameroon for some unknown reasons as well.
I'm not a beginner, and I learn Chassidus, Kaballah, but if you can direct me to the talmudic, biblical or kabbalistic source of your information, other than Midrash, i'd appreciate it. I have my library of books I have yet to read, it's not in my plan to make any new purchases as of yet, but I appreciate your advice, for future reference, If you can direct me to which Gemara, and where I can find this, that would be great. Whenever you get the chance...
WOW black Egypt and Black Israel amazing stuff. I freak when I saw Afros on these people and dark dark skin. WOW!!!!! Thank GOD there are honest white people who still seek the truth in this world. Everything makes since now about Yahsua being hidden Egypt because they both were black peoples. IT all makes since. The bible story end up being proven right ....infreakincredible!!!!
Moses and the Hebrews were for the lack of a better word Demented due to the harsh elements they were subjected to. only they bring up god. it was never mentioned as "god" with the Egyptians. God was something they saw as real but in fact did not exist. If you want the truth...look for it. We believe what we are taught from birth. Why else would it be implanted in us to get married and have kids. Because we r a virus? Is it because what we are taught? There is no Heaven or hell.
they see all of their brain cells start firing off and have hallucinations of what they expect to see and want to see. You can't tell me a dead person knows what is going on because you have never been dead. You are told anything that will get them noticed. If you wanna go to heaven then die. Just die. stop talking just die. go. your god wants you.
ok..that sounded a bit harsh. My point is, that if Hell is expanding at a constant rate...eventually we will cease to exist (obviously). I think our chances of getting wiped out by a meterite are more likely than Hell killing us.
"So Moses stretched out his hand and total darkness covered the earth for three days, (23) no one could see anyone else or leave his place for three days. Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived"
Explain the light in the places of the Israelites.
"Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived", lol, because they have fire and torches within their HOUSES, but outside, no one could see because the ash obscures everything. Egyptians probably did too, the Bible never says that they didn't.
thats easy, they were in the city Goshen (Jewish Children Level)
They were in the city Goshen and had to bury their own brothers, 80% of Jews died in the darkness. It was the ones that did not want to leave Egypt (Jewish Adult level)
The question was raised what it would be like if you put WW2 in the 1990's. But the bible is WRONG because when it comes to Exodus, it combines WW1 & WW2. As Ralph Ellis shows, there were 2 exoduses. This is the first one when Jacob (Yacobaam), the last northern Hyksos pharaoh got the boot from Ahmose, the middle kingdom pharaoh of Thebes. The real story of Jacob & Essau is about the latter's betrayal of his brother to Ahmose. Years later, the Hyksos (Jews) return thru Jacob's son, Joseph.
Blatantly this makes a lot of sense. It does however give a little bit of evidence to back up what the bible says. It still comes down to the same question that we always face. Was the Earthquake something that was just gonna happen or did God bring on the earthquake?
Some people would believe that if God would want something to happen, he would make it scientifically explainable. E.g. he won't just make something happen, he would do this and that therefore this and that will happen, if you get what I mean
we know all this.now find the one moses, jesus, jhon said would come with the truth, who is this, has he come,is he yet to come, mount saini is in s.arabia, ckeck ron wyatt, these are the people or so called zionist jews who are part of a plan named,,the protocal of the elders pf zion, read on utube,t
God is smart he knew what he was doing even scientificly he wanted us to figure this out! Thanks God you are just as much of a terrorist then anyone else is....
Ok heres a problem the Thera eruption also known as the Santorini eruption. The date of the eruption of Thera was recently in 2007 narrowed to between 1627-1600 BCE, with a 95% probability of accuracy by radiocarbon analysis.
one thing why did they only take place after moses spoke of them , the earth is subject to god pwer so of course he would used the earth to send plaques in the earth....duh , all the are doing is confirming god exist
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Amo Israel means HIS people NOT gods people. They were called this because they worshipped SET thus they were SETANS, SATANS this is why the egyptians called them evil ones, they worshipped the egyptian SATAN
Its tricky how they agree the events of exodus were true but....at the same time saying, it was no miracle. These scientists went a great length to prove thats its 'no-God's but science that's behind the biblical miracles but it only rise questions they themselves cannot answer. for eg; if they believe the events did hapen as recorded, how on earth could Moses knew exactly the time and date the event would take place? its like he had a remote control n givin a seminar in front of the Pharaoh
Keep it up guys, this great. As for you naysayers, listen, you've been warned. Where shall each of you stand at the judgement day?

We dont even understand those things. GOD destine some to pay here in earth and others to enjoy it. It was set before time, decided before earth was ever form.

Wow how cruel is God? Kills all the first born in Egypt (though according to this video he killed the Egyptians indiscriminately) just so a small group of slaves could be set free to wonder the deserts for 40 years killing all in their way with supposed divine authority. Maybe he decided to release his plagues on the people in Cameroon for some unknown reasons as well.

80% of Jews also died in the Plague of Darkness. It were the Jews that didn't want to leave Egypt.

Midrash Talmud and Gemora, basically Oral Law.
If you are intrested in learning secrets of the Torah and the World (with scientifct FACTS) check my videos or read the books.
If you are a beginer but understand science and hate bs, get the book "the coming revloultion" by Zamir Cohen

There is no Heaven or hell.

if you are interested in knowing the truth about after life, just ask any doctor who came across people who were legally dead and came back.
all the patients SAY THE SAME THING. White light, dead realitives, i saw my whole life, and they asked me 3 questions.
and this is from non religous people. in the holy Jewish books it tells u the whole trial.

they see all of their brain cells start firing off and have hallucinations of what they expect to see and want to see. You can't tell me a dead person knows what is going on because you have never been dead. You are told anything that will get them noticed. If you wanna go to heaven then die. Just die. stop talking just die. go. your god wants you.

the plates dont collide the earth is in fact growing from hell enlarging itself

...and I imagine Hell is gonna become so big that at some point down the road, Earth will cease to exist...
Only one thing to say to that. Bullshit.
Klinx585 3 years ago
ok..that sounded a bit harsh. My point is, that if Hell is expanding at a constant rate...eventually we will cease to exist (obviously). I think our chances of getting wiped out by a meterite are more likely than Hell killing us.
Klinx585 3 years ago
hell is earth in a parallel dimenion retard
earth is now
heaven is future
hell is earth as it would hav been if GOD had not killed lucifer

Exodus 10:22
"So Moses stretched out his hand and total darkness covered the earth for three days, (23) no one could see anyone else or leave his place for three days. Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived"
Explain the light in the places of the Israelites.
skywalkerLDP 3 years ago
for some reason it manages to explain the old testament better than the Exodus...
lostlov30 3 years ago
"Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived", lol, because they have fire and torches within their HOUSES, but outside, no one could see because the ash obscures everything. Egyptians probably did too, the Bible never says that they didn't.
cfmonkey454 2 years ago
thats easy, they were in the city Goshen (Jewish Children Level)

BillyJBitch 3 years ago
Some people would believe that if God would want something to happen, he would make it scientifically explainable. E.g. he won't just make something happen, he would do this and that therefore this and that will happen, if you get what I mean
