The Witcher is excellent and is still good even a few years later, the worst thing about that game is the lack of variety in character shapes, instead of having various attributes that determines the way a character looks, there's only a handful of pre-rendered graphics which means you'll see lots of different characters with exactly the same rendered graphic including body and face which makes it hard sometimes to take them seriously, but for such a powerful story one can oversee this.

I like both the new Fallout games, but I seriously would kill for a continuation of Van Buren or something fucking isometric, but that shit isn't in demand anymore, due to the retarded children of the nation and there obsession with excessive graphic details and mundane storylines that are predictable right from the get go. At least when I started Fallout 2, I had no fucking CLUE how shit would turn out. Today? Different story.

morrorwinds gameplay and storyline are a bit better than oblivion, but oblivions graphics are a thousand times better, and thats what makes oblivion the better game, atleast for me, im an eye candy game lover, so i cant really withstand the way morrowind looks, and how the characters in morrowind walk, LOL, they look like they have a big fat STICK up their asses when the walk. and thats not nice to watch.

Gothic 1/2 were awesome, gothic 3 sucked. Risen corrected the mistake piranha bytes (now called Pluto 13 GmbH) made and created a very nice game. oh and btw THE WITCHER SUCKS !

oblivion was the best, which is hilarious because it came out before gaming companies forgot what was fun. i don't know how many people i speak for when i say that im tired of magic in rpgs which is used too much. i'd rather have a pure medieval experiance which is what oblivion was close too. or modern sort of like gta which was also close exept it's not a rpg.

You should try Mount and blade Warband its new a new RPG, and it is Pure medieval, no magic or mytstical creatures or any shit like that, the graphics are pretty good and you have the choice to go play online if you want, like team deathmatch or whatever

You are right. Elder scrolls 4: Oblivion is really a good game. I have it for Xbox360 and i am lvl 37. Nice graphics and armours. I like the game. And i like RPG's but i like more MMORPG's. But this is my supposition.

Well, a dont want to argue but its not the ammount of armors,weapons,spells make a good RPG

For example Planescape torment. Main hero dont have ANY type of armor and there is only one sword in whole game (as i remember). There is a lot of axes, hammers, knifes but there, even crossbows but no bows. And the game is just outstanding and imho far better than baldurs gate.

I didnt read whole discussion, I just say that lack of armors in witcher is bad argument

compared to witcher? let me tell you something the witcher doesnt have even different armor to choose or weapon upgrades, or even allow you to level up so you are tougher, you just proceed to the next level and get owned by the stronger monsters, nice.... very nice, so hellgate london is more rpg than the witcher, you can even create your own character unlike the witcher.

id say more like an attempt to make a sci fi action-rpg mmo game, it failed and it, deserved it but its the only in its category, sci fi..apart from fallout 3, id say its average but did you know that later on in hellgate there are missions that you lead squads from rts view or use a turret to shoot down one of those flying ships and then you enter that spaceship.

Oblivion, The Witcher, Morrowind, Fallout 3 definitely rank among my favourite RPGs of all time.

Titan Quest, not that impressive, but still can be very addictive and I could spend hours on it without stopping.
