beautifully acted....i like the slow tempo, it makes the realizations and sadness jack is going through more clear than the quick tongue-twisting lyric that is typical sondheim....so it may not be right, but it's good, and after all, witches can be right and giants can be good ;-)

Very nice! Probably the best high school version I've seen. Like others have said, the song was a bit slow, but the singing and acting were wonderful. This is probably going to be our worst song (we just started) because our Jack had to be re-cast, and the new one- can't sing too great...I love Jack's costume by the way! It's adorable! ^_^

indeed, it is the best high school version i've seen as well. but, as most have noted that the song seems slow, that is how it was originally written. if it's unlike sondheim, people should take it up with him. check out the original sung by Ben Wright. He sang it with just about the same tempo.

@ARbenSRbarGR. Not entirely true - the original is substantially faster - the song is not about sadness, it is about the flush of youth and a young boy's first encounter with lust. Jack is not sad at all. Sondheim intended it to be faster - look at the tempo markings in a score - that way Sondhiem's genius lyrics work much better. However I must admit well sung - very tough song for most.
