We're keeping the sabbath, because jesus is the sabbath, once you accept christ you accept the sabbath. col 2: 16, rom 11 : 5 matt 11: 28 gal 3: 9- 14
@WhenDreamsTouchFire How can He send anyone there? First of all hell is not real. It was designed by carnal minds who interpret scripture with these same minds. Secondly, He made a promise to Abraham to bless all nations, and we both know our Father is faithful in His promises. 3rd, Paul taught the Jews of the faith and gentiles the real good news. The salvation of all mankind. Why do Christians hate those who believe in this Gospel? Because Christ said they hated Him first.
@WhenDreamsTouchFire I only need to say that men interprets scripture with their carnal minds and think the got it figured out. You only need to know our Father in heavens true nature to know that the hell doctrine is false and has no place in Gods plan. God made us in His image. Sadly, man has repayed Him by doing the same to Him.
@SwordofManticorE And those that are the vicious wolves will condemn the righteous saying. acts 24 [14] But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
@sixthheretic I agree, but it goes even further than that. Anyone who teaches the doctrine of hell is a false teacher. They believe that God believes the lost deserve to go to hell, so they themselves believe the lost must go to hell. In other words, they have made an image of our Father out of their own image. They are the older brother in the parable of the prodigal son. They refuse to believe the lost will be saved out of selfrightouse blind pride. They are no different than the pharisees.
It depends on what their concept of hell is? If it is a firey demony place where sinners get tortured for eternity by a dude with a pitch fork. well then I agree with you.
If however it is a lake of fire where those that have not believed every word of god get judged and if fall short edure the second and permanent death. Then I disagree.
@sixthheretic Wow, your belief is more closer to pagan beliefs than it is to scripture. There is no dude with a pitch fork, that was the pagan greek and roman god neptune who carried this. Tarturus (2Pet) is a greek pagan realm where rebelliouse gods were sent, while hades was where all the dead went. They were two different places. That is why these words were symbolicaly used in scripture. Btw, the rebelliouse messengers in prison are in restrains, and total darkness (fire creates light)
@SwordofManticorE Dude you need to read the comment before mine. just like when you are reading the bible context is key. The last thing he said is that they are no different then the pharasees. If that means they believe in the pitchforky place then I agree they are no different then the pharaees. When you read something you should really read it and not guess what it says. makes you look dumb.
@sixthheretic Brother, you are going to have to be more specific when you explain something. I have read your comments, but you are confusing me now. What is your belief on the doctrine of hell?
@sixthheretic The second death is symbolic for the destruction of the temple a second time and the end of the daily sacrifices. It was meant only for Jews. The LoF is symbolic in life, not death. We harvest what we sow and this fire judges all our works. The Greek word for torment in Rev 20:10 also means testing. It is also the verb for Basanos. It means touchstone in english. A touchstone tests preciouse metals. It is symbolic for what Paul wrote in 1 Cor 3:10-15. The LoF is God Heb 12:29.
@sixthheretic What? No argument? Or is it that you dont want to believe what I said? Your problem with understanding scripture is that you read it with your Adamic carnal nature. Until you set that a side and pray for spiritual eyes, all you will understand is print in the bible. Try reading the white for once. It may amaze you.
"Many will say to me (Jesus) on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' (From the NIV Bible, Matthew 7:22-23)"
According to this verse it is CHRISTIANS going to hell because NO other people prophecise,or call on jesus for good and bad but christians. Which means everyones else has a chance of going to heaven EXCEPT christians.
Can you please let me know your views about Islam? Your concept is similar if not idenitical to Islam.
We don't keep the Sabat because it is replaced with Friday because we believe all days belong to God however some believe the Creation will end on a Friday, Judgement day some believe God Finished the creation of heavens and earth on Friday. No one knows for sure. The days belong to God.
@TheSaffyone muhamad is a false prophet. Any man that claims that jesus did not die for the remission of mens sins and then raised from the dead is a false prophet
@sixthheretic Well, for me , Islam is the only religion accepted in sight of Allah, however the gate of mercy includes these who worship the one God.
I think they way you worship God holds the bare minimum of salvation, lets hope God will pass it for you for refusing the trinity and accepting the one God.
Christ didn't die on the cross and infact hasn't yet died. He is comming back. Only God forgives the sins directly. Christ and Mohamed are men and they shouldn't be between you and God.
Since Jesus we do not have to go through ritualistic ceremonies to wash sin. It must be in repentance of our sins. And sins have to do with intention more than the actual action. For example in Ex 20:16 it says not to bear false witness. Some had to lie during the holocaust to hide their tracks. Lying would not be bad in this situation because it was for the intent of saving lives. Now lying for personal gain would be bad. And just asking Jesus into a heart doesn't work like many think.
If you place the word of God as more important then your own life then God will make away when there is no way. Those that lied to save their own lives love their lives more then God. They didnt believe that God would save them from destruction. Just look at shadrach meshack and abednigo thes were in an identical situation and they would not budge. God rescued them so to would he resque those that cared more for the word of God then their own lives
@sixthheretic I believe entirely with what you said. But am clarifying that the example of the Jewish people who lied, was not to save their own lives, but the lives of Jews who the Nazi's were looking for. If a killer were looking for one's child, one would not reveal to him in any way as to help the killer. If one lied and said they were at a different location, based on the condition of our heart which is love for our family, God would be merciful of this. Thnx
...con...cannot save, only show us what is sin. All things pertaining 2 God should b observed where applicable. Did Christ say followers of His should b circumcised? Did He say we should observe the dietary laws given specifically 2 the children of Israel? Do u follow every Law in the Old Testament? Christ warns against legalism + 4getting the weightier things such as love. I thank God that it's Jesus His Son who will b my judge on the day of judgement + not mankind.
The law shows us what sin is then we should believe what it says and do what it says to avoid sin. To think that the law no longer applies is is what ungodly christians do for an excuse to sin and those that will not believe all scripture will have their names taken out of the book of life and they will be cast into a lake of fire. Love does matter but jesus also said to do as the pharasees teach but not to do as they do. The pharasees taught the law so we should do the law.
The Law was originally given 2 the Jewish ppl + those who never had the Law of Moses given 2 them will b judged by the things they did without the law. In other words they will b judged by how they knew from their conscience they should have behaved. Those who r under the Law will b judged according 2 the Law. Those under Christ will b judged by how we have lived as Christians. Of course, i recognise y the Law was given but Christ has made a sacrifice that is much higher than the Law which .con
You do not muder because the old testament say not to murder. you dont lie because the old testament says not to lie. Jesus did not do away with the law he did away with the consequence of law which is death. We still have to do the law we just wont be executed for not doing it. how ever if you say that any scripture doesnt apply to you then it is that scripture that you will be judged by and that is the sin that will send you to hell because you do not see yourself as a sinner
No disrespect my friend, but u seem 2 b very "legalistic". Christians r under the grace of God. Of course this doesn't mean we can sin at will. The Jewish Law was given 2 the Jewish ppl not 2 Christians as Paul makes a point of stating. The issue was about outward signs such as circumcision + following the Law. All Spirit-led Christians will b aware that when we sin we acknowledge it 2 the Father through the Son in the Spirit. We r aware that the law cannot save. It's Christ that saves...
How do you know you are sinning unless you know the law. Jesus didnt do away with the law he did away with the concequence for sin. You want excuses to sin then dont believe all scripture. That way you can live your ungodly life with zero condemnation but if you disregaurd scripture picking and choseing which scriptures you want to believe or follow you will be held acountable on the day of judgment. Jesus will ask you why you didnt believe all the word what will you say?
@sixthheretic Of course, i realise that the Law points out what sin is. If Jesus wanted Christians 2 follow more than the TenCommandments He would have made that clear. As a Christian i am well aware of the Law. I recognise that Jesus fulfilled the Law + said the Law would not b done away with. But when Jesus was talking He was clearly talking 2 the Jewish ppl. This was still the 1st DISPENSATION. The 2nd DISPENSATION was when Jesus commanded the Disciples 2preach throughout the whole world.
Just because dispentastions change doesnt mean that the old laws still dont apply.
Rom.2
[14] For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
[15] Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
The law is used for our personal growth so it still applies
@sixthheretic I wasn't being sarcastic. I am not a member of any Christian sect, but I really like to see people who aren't ignorant of the very book they think they're following/preaching. I love people who don't just pick and choose whatever fits their lifestyle within their religion (Except Neo-Pagans, because that's the basis.) so I gave you a thumbs up for being well read and consistent!
Oh well thank you. Sorry I am so used to being attacked for my beliefs I am not used to some random person complimenting me on my beliefs. I am very apreciative though.
@sixthheretic Trust me, I know! I'm on the other side of the coin, used to being attacked for NOT believing. Most people give you a WTF reaction when you tell them you're a Neo-Druid. People have every right to believe whatever they want, but I hate to see ignorance, stubbornness, hypocrisy and refusal to acknowledge the black and white (or red and white as the case may be) writings of the very religion they follow. Which you don't do, obviously. =)
You are correct in what you say. Thank you for your honesty. Both Jews and Christians conveniently determine what is relevant and not as far as actions and prohibitions are concerned regarding the Holy Bible. It is upsetting to me because if people choose to adopt a particular religion, they are obligated to do EVERYTHING that is expected of them according to said religion's scripture. Oh yes! :-)
Meanwhile, I have no choice but to endure a headache from those who disobey.
...not eating at McDonalds or going to Walmart. There are six other days of the week in which to do those things. When you contribute to a society that does not observe the Sabbath, you make it harder for people who have never heard the word of God to do so by keeping them from the house of God.
Well only five since we can do no work on the true sabbath. I do not worry about those that work on the sabbath since the bible says If a man wish to be ignorant you let him be ignorant. I dont push my beliefs on others. So if they wish to work on the sabbath that is thier desicion. I will not work on the sabbath but I will not condemn those that do.
@unicornus33 Jesus mentioned the animal that had fallen in2 a ditch, making the point that the owner wouldn't leave it their in response 2 complaints that He, the Son of God had broken the Sabbath by healing. Also what about emergency service workers + others who work on all days of the week. It's easy 4 ppl 2 judge others but Jesus did things with intelligence + compassion. Jesus made the point that He was interested in the spirit of the Law, not the letter of the law...Peace...
I agree with what you have to say about the Sabbath. Doing things like housework aside, I have tried to talk to people in my church about things like always going out to eat at a restaurant after church every sunday. I have tried and tried to tell them that they are forcing people to accept jobs where they have to work on a Sunday. They are encouraging people to stay away from the house of God and setting a poor example. People say Jesus healed on the Sabbath. He did the Lord's work, not eat at
@BoyintheMachine Former Christian, current atheist, how sad. Someone must have really screwed you over. But yet you are watching videos, reading and commenting on a Christian thread. Thats curious. What is it you are you searching for that you are not finding?
@BoyintheMachine only those that have the holy spirit and refuse to believe all scripture are going to hell. If a man doesnt have the holy spirit then when he dies he turns to dust and his soul ceases to exsist. So from a biblical perspective aithiest beliefs on what happens to them is accurate.
I TOTALLY get your point about people thinking they are not sinners, them accepting some scripture but rejecting others, and yes you are right, them doing that is wrong. But it is a moot point because all their sins are forgiven (as are yours be humble). If someone is born again, even if they are a worker of inequity, then their name is written in the book of life, can not be blotted out and they are going to heaven. Right or wrong, agree or not, that is how it is by the grace of God.
That would be great and all but jesus said this...
Matt.5
[20] For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
There are those that claim righteousness and lead people astray and for these people the future does not look bright.
Mark.9
[42] it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea
@sixthheretic Exactly! The Scribes and Pharisees were neither followers nor believers in Jesus being the Messiah. Many of them were even possessed with devil spirits and did many evil things. So you are right on with those verses.
So when jesus said beware the wolves and sheeps clothing he was only talking about the scribes and pharisees and it cant possibly correlate to now? When jesus said that they hold the keys to heaven and wont got through themselves neither will they let anyone else through that can not apply to the religious leaders of today. If you can not make the parallel between the modern religious leaders of today and the ancient pharisees then we have nothing left to discuss on the matter
@sixthheretic I can see the parallel, never said I didnt. There you go again changing the subject with a new argument. I am getting the feeling that you like arguing more than you like being accurate on scripture. If you are going to keep taking scripture out of context and twisting them into what you want to believe instead of what they are really saying then we certainly have nothing left to discuss on ANY matter concerning the Word.
@GodsWordFirst If you can see the parrallel then if they will not go through the gate of heaven and they wont go through them selves then they are not going to heaven and they are keeping people from entering heaven. It is a damnable offence to corrupt the bible and to teach that the practice of corrupting the bible is of God will not only send you to hell but those you teach the doctrine to.
About the Sabbath, it is a good idea to take a day of rest but God changes the rules from one administration to the next. Before the Moses, there was no specific law concerning the Sabbath. When God gave the Law to Moses, He changed the rules, and commanded that anyone who worked on the Sabbath should be put to death (Exod. 31:14). Today, in the Grace Administration, God has changed the rules again, and it is not a sin to work on the Sabbath (Rom. 14:5; Col. 2:16).
@GodsWordFirst There was no law before moses but God did give an example on the seventh day he rested. As pertaining to the grace dispensation there is no death penalty but there is none that is allowed to judge me for practiceing the sabbath on the day appointed col 2:16. however it is ridiculus to think that just because it is now the grace dispensation that the law no longer applies. If that were true then I could bare false witness and covet my neighbors wife
Your protest is flawed. It is not the case that when one is freed from one legal system that automatically implies he now is at liberty to pursue any conduct that was prohibited under the former law(s). The laws of the OT no longer apply but the NT laws (or guidelines, as they may be construed under grace) are in full affect now. Choosing to live under the OT law is a rejection of what Christ came to accomplish, a rejection of the NT and a slap in the face to God.
@sixthheretic You seem so angry. That is not one of the fruits of the spirit. Are you OK? Can I help you with anything? I miss hanging out with you. Know that Im still your friend, love you as a brother and pray for you often. Email me privately if you want to talk.
If you are a born again Christian then you are not going to hell. We have been promised salvation and that can not be lost or taken away from us. Christ saying I do not know you is in reference to people who have done miracles in Christs name but are not born again. They who derived their power from the adversary are the ones who Christ will reject.
@GodsWordFirst Please be so kind as to site chapter and verse pertaining to your point of view on: If you are a born again Christian then you are not going to hell
@sixthheretic Come on now, even a nubie knows these verses: Romans 10:9 and you will be saved. 1 Thess 5:9 obtain salvation Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved . Phil 3:20-21 the saviour, the Lord Jesus And many more. No room to expand on them all here but the point should be clear; God has plainly revealed that born again Christians have a promise and a guarantee of salvation that can not be lost or taken away.
@GodsWordFirst All romans 10 does for you is give you everlasting life. Jesus said to those that had the holy spirit in the end times matt 7[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
The reason this is done is becuse they will not aknowledge they are sinners because they will not believe all scripture
@sixthheretic Yes, every verse that says we are saved. We have been granted remission of sins past, present and future which grants us amnesty in the coming wrath. Furthermore, if Christ were to reject everyone who did not live the law 100% then he will be all alone in heaven and all the verses talking about salvation, promises of glory, remission and forgiveness of sins, sons of God, etc would all be lies. Either the entire bible is wrong, or you are. I am going with the bible on this one.
Could you quote the scriptures that say that being saved means you get to go to heaven with out condition? Because I have never found it and we are not to add to the bible are we? infact every refrence to heaven seems to be linked to believeing scripture with all of the verses I have quoted and yet you still have yet to produce one verse to back up you claim. I showed you mine time to show me yours.
All the verses you showed me have been proven to be misquoted and - or taken out of context. I have shown you my supporting scriptures. Reread all my comments in this thread then do an independent study on the words saved and salvation. Not that I expect you will because you seem to have your mind made up and your heart closed off to anything that contradicts with your twisted view of the Word. Like I said before, if you continue in that direction then we have nothing more to discuss.
@sixthheretic MATTHEW chapter 7 appears 2 b warning those of us who call ourselves Christians should practice what we preach. I believe the message Jesus is giving is that we shouldn't just judge but judge righteously + not in a condemnatory way. Also we need 2 c our own sins, faults + failings. We r 2 practice (as much as is possible) Love 2wards all. I believe the ppl in verse 23 r those who didn't practice love or c their own failings...
@sixthheretic Jesus makes the point that it's the fact that the ppl mentioned in verse 23 didn't do God's will, is the reason they r cast out + condemned. There is no mention that they had God the Holy Spirit in this chapter.
Verse 21 shows that just saying: "Lord , Lord", is not enough...I never (speaking 4 myself) take salvation 4 granted. I know the Lord will b the one who decides my eternal standing...May we all b found worthy...
Are you saying that we are to humble ourselves to the Word of God, repent and alter our path if our ways are found to conflict with it regardless of our own private thoughts, feelings and/or interpretations?
What I am saying is that if we believe all of the word of god and you are unable to do all of the word your sin is forgiven. But if you make any excuse that the word of god doesnt apply to you such as time have changed or we dont have to do the old testament then you do not believe that you are a sinner and you arte still in your sins and then christ can not pay for them and that will cause you to go to hell.
@sixthheretic Please be so kind as to site chapter and verse pertaining to your point of view on: "But if you make any excuse that the word of god doesnt apply to you ... then you do not believe that you are a sinner and you arte still in your sins and then christ can not pay for them and that will cause you to go to hell."
@sixthheretic You misquoted and took Rev 22:19 out of context. It states that if you take anything out of THAT book, the Book of Rev., not the whole bible. Wrong on Rev 20:15, nothing about taking your name out of it. It says whosoever was not found written in the book Right on Rom 7:7 but read it in context with Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law Prov 28:9 no longer applies, see Rom 7:6. Wrongly quoted Matt 7:22-23 and out of context too. You cant be doing all that, you know better.
@GodsWordFirst ok you dont like that verse what about Gal.1
[8] But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. matt 7:22-23where people with the holy spirit were told 23] I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Otherwise it sounds like you are saying it is ok to take away scriptures out of the bible man shall not live by bread alone but every word of god.
@sixthheretic I like all those verses, just not the way you are twisting them. Matt 7:22 out of context, not about people with holy spirit. Read it in context were it begins in 7:15 Beware of false prophets = not born again. Im not saying to take scriptures out of Bible. Dont be putting words in my mouth.
@sixthheretic Lev 16:29-31 And it shall be a statute to you forever that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict yourselves and shall do no work, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you. 30 For on this day shall atonement be made for you to cleanse you. You shall be clean before the Lord from all your sins. 31 It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict yourselves; it is a statute forever.
@davenporter1 That's not even talking about the Sabbath day. It's talking about the Day of Atonement. Which is a shadow of the better thing to come, Christ (who is the WHOLE POINT of all of these festivals and Sabbaths):
Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. 17 These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. 18 Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind, 19 and not holding fast to the Head
Finally, let's look at the Romans passage I brought up:
Romans 14:5-6 One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God.
Rom.14[1] Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.[2] For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
This is talking about men that are weak in faith who are not yet able to do the feasts and the sabbaths. We are not to condemn those that can not yet do the word but are still growing in faith. However if a man claims that there is scripture that does not apply to him he shall be cast into the lake of fire.
If you had watched my video I condemned no one that was not able to do the sabbath. For there is only one thing that will disqualify you from salvation and that is not to believe all the word of God.
I find it annoying also how some Christians conclude that, according to God, some laws are applicable and some laws are not due to Jesus's crucifixion. Some Christians eat bacon and eggs or even shrimp cocktail without thinking twice about it - an obvious sin! Some even tend to their vegetable garden while wearing cotton/polyester blended clothing that Sunday to church (these are also sinful actions). Frankly, these actions wastes time - not to mention violating God's law for doing so.
Um ... I agree with most of that except for the cotton polyester blend. It talks specifically about wool and linen polyester is not mentioned. We must be careful not to add to scripture. But according to the bible the sabbath is on saturday not sunday.
@j4unumber1 There were Laws that were given specifically 2 the Jewish ppl such as the food laws. I believe every word of Scripture but Jesus, the Son of God, fulfilled the law + remained sinless + there4 He not only shows that the Law cannot save but that He is the Way, the Truth + the life. An example: an eye 4 an eye in the Old Testament following the Law. Now Jesus says 4give ur enemies. Jesus illustrates this type of point again + again. 1 CORINTHIANS 3:13-15. Ultimately Jesus knows His own!
I have noticed that too about some Christians. Actually this does seem to be a tendency among most of them, but for different reasons. Let's face it, there would not be so many denominations within Christianity if people understand the do's and don'ts that are mentioned in the Holy Bible.
We're keeping the sabbath, because jesus is the sabbath, once you accept christ you accept the sabbath. col 2: 16, rom 11 : 5 matt 11: 28 gal 3: 9- 14

Psalm 91 clearly confirms that Jesus NEVER got crucified.

Either you believe all of it or you believe none of it. Rom.14
[9] For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
This is only one verse there are whole chapters dedicated to jesus being crusified.
sixthheretic 6 months ago
according to this verse God promised to PROTECT jesus from any harm great and small Luke 4:10-12
10 For the Scriptures say, ‘He will order his angels to protect and guard you.
11 And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’”
therefore he was NOT crucified but saved by God before the Jews nailed him to a wood.
ThePinkLei 6 months ago

Any man that claims that jesus did not die for the remission of mens sins and then raised from the dead is a false prophet
sixthheretic 7 months ago

MayonR 1 year ago
@MayonR
If you place the word of God as more important then your own life then God will make away when there is no way. Those that lied to save their own lives love their lives more then God. They didnt believe that God would save them from destruction. Just look at shadrach meshack and abednigo thes were in an identical situation and they would not budge. God rescued them so to would he resque those that cared more for the word of God then their own lives
sixthheretic 1 year ago
@sixthheretic I believe entirely with what you said. But am clarifying that the example of the Jewish people who lied, was not to save their own lives, but the lives of Jews who the Nazi's were looking for. If a killer were looking for one's child, one would not reveal to him in any way as to help the killer. If one lied and said they were at a different location, based on the condition of our heart which is love for our family, God would be merciful of this. Thnx
MayonR 1 year ago
...con...cannot save, only show us what is sin.
The3in1trinity 1 year ago
@The3in1trinity

@The3in1trinity
You do not muder because the old testament say not to murder. you dont lie because the old testament says not to lie. Jesus did not do away with the law he did away with the consequence of law which is death. We still have to do the law we just wont be executed for not doing it. how ever if you say that any scripture doesnt apply to you then it is that scripture that you will be judged by and that is the sin that will send you to hell because you do not see yourself as a sinner
sixthheretic 1 year ago
No disrespect my friend, but u seem 2 b very "legalistic". Christians r under the grace of God. Of course this doesn't mean we can sin at will. The Jewish Law was given 2 the Jewish ppl not 2 Christians as Paul makes a point of stating. The issue was about outward signs such as circumcision + following the Law. All Spirit-led Christians will b aware that when we sin we acknowledge it 2 the Father through the Son in the Spirit. We r aware that the law cannot save. It's Christ that saves...
The3in1trinity 1 year ago
@The3in1trinity
Jesus will ask you why you didnt believe all the word what will you say?
sixthheretic 1 year ago 2
@sixthheretic Of course, i realise that the Law points out what sin is. If Jesus wanted Christians 2 follow more than the TenCommandments He would have made that clear. As a Christian i am well aware of the Law. I recognise that Jesus fulfilled the Law + said the Law would not b done away with. But when Jesus was talking He was clearly talking 2 the Jewish ppl. This was still the 1st DISPENSATION. The 2nd DISPENSATION was when Jesus commanded the Disciples 2preach throughout the whole world.
The3in1trinity 1 year ago
@The3in1trinity

Well only five since we can do no work on the true sabbath. I do not worry about those that work on the sabbath since the bible says If a man wish to be ignorant you let him be ignorant. sixthheretic 1 year ago
@unicornus33 Jesus mentioned the animal that had fallen in2 a ditch, making the point that the owner wouldn't leave it their in response 2 complaints that He, the Son of God had broken the Sabbath by healing.

@BoyintheMachine only those that have the holy spirit and refuse to believe all scripture are going to hell. If a man doesnt have the holy spirit then when he dies he turns to dust and his soul ceases to exsist. So from a biblical perspective aithiest beliefs on what happens to them is accurate.
sixthheretic 1 year ago
I TOTALLY get your point about people thinking they are not sinners, them accepting some scripture but rejecting others, and yes you are right, them doing that is wrong. But it is a moot point because all their sins are forgiven (as are yours be humble). If someone is born again, even if they are a worker of inequity, then their name is written in the book of life, can not be blotted out and they are going to heaven. Right or wrong, agree or not, that is how it is by the grace of God.
GodsWordFirst 1 year ago
@GodsWordFirst
Mark.9
[42] it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea
sixthheretic 1 year ago
@sixthheretic Exactly! The Scribes and Pharisees were neither followers nor believers in Jesus being the Messiah. Many of them were even possessed with devil spirits and did many evil things. So you are right on with those verses.
GodsWordFirst 1 year ago
@GodsWordFirst
So when jesus said beware the wolves and sheeps clothing he was only talking about the scribes and pharisees and it cant possibly correlate to now? When jesus said that they hold the keys to heaven and wont got through themselves neither will they let anyone else through that can not apply to the religious leaders of today. If you can not make the parallel between the modern religious leaders of today and the ancient pharisees then we have nothing left to discuss on the matter
sixthheretic 1 year ago
@sixthheretic I can see the parallel, never said I didnt. There you go again changing the subject with a new argument. I am getting the feeling that you like arguing more than you like being accurate on scripture. If you are going to keep taking scripture out of context and twisting them into what you want to believe instead of what they are really saying then we certainly have nothing left to discuss on ANY matter concerning the Word.
GodsWordFirst 1 year ago
@GodsWordFirst If you can see the parrallel then if they will not go through the gate of heaven and they wont go through them selves then they are not going to heaven and they are keeping people from entering heaven. It is a damnable offence to corrupt the bible and to teach that the practice of corrupting the bible is of God will not only send you to hell but those you teach the doctrine to.
sixthheretic 1 year ago
About the Sabbath, it is a good idea to take a day of rest but God changes the rules from one administration to the next. Before the Moses, there was no specific law concerning the Sabbath. When God gave the Law to Moses, He changed the rules, and commanded that anyone who worked on the Sabbath should be put to death (Exod. 31:14). Today, in the Grace Administration, God has changed the rules again, and it is not a sin to work on the Sabbath (Rom. 14:5; Col. 2:16).
GodsWordFirst 1 year ago
@GodsWordFirst There was no law before moses but God did give an example on the seventh day he rested. As pertaining to the grace dispensation there is no death penalty but there is none that is allowed to judge me for practiceing the sabbath on the day appointed col 2:16. however it is ridiculus to think that just because it is now the grace dispensation that the law no longer applies. If that were true then I could bare false witness and covet my neighbors wife
sixthheretic 1 year ago
Your protest is flawed. It is not the case that when one is freed from one legal system that automatically implies he now is at liberty to pursue any conduct that was prohibited under the former law(s). The laws of the OT no longer apply but the NT laws (or guidelines, as they may be construed under grace) are in full affect now. Choosing to live under the OT law is a rejection of what Christ came to accomplish, a rejection of the NT and a slap in the face to God.
GodsWordFirst 1 year ago
@GodsWordFirst
Jesus said this about the law.
Matt.5
[18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

@GodsWordFirst All romans 10 does for you is give you everlasting life. Jesus said to those that had the holy spirit in the end times matt 7[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Can you back that up with scripture?
sixthheretic 1 year ago
@sixthheretic Yes, every verse that says we are saved. We have been granted remission of sins past, present and future which grants us amnesty in the coming wrath. Furthermore, if Christ were to reject everyone who did not live the law 100% then he will be all alone in heaven and all the verses talking about salvation, promises of glory, remission and forgiveness of sins, sons of God, etc would all be lies. Either the entire bible is wrong, or you are. I am going with the bible on this one.
GodsWordFirst 1 year ago

Could you quote the scriptures that say that being saved means you get to go to heaven with out condition? @sixthheretic MATTHEW chapter 7 appears 2 b warning those of us who call ourselves Christians should practice what we preach. I believe the message Jesus is giving is that we shouldn't just judge but judge righteously + not in a condemnatory way. Also we need 2 c our own sins, faults + failings. We r 2 practice (as much as is possible) Love 2wards all. I believe the ppl in verse 23 r those who didn't practice love or c their own failings...
The3in1trinity 1 year ago
@sixthheretic Jesus makes the point that it's the fact that the ppl mentioned in verse 23 didn't do God's will, is the reason they r cast out + condemned. There is no mention that they had God the Holy Spirit in this chapter.
Verse 21 shows that just saying: "Lord , Lord", is not enough...I never (speaking 4 myself) take salvation 4 granted. I know the Lord will b the one who decides my eternal standing...May we all b found worthy...

What I am saying is that if we believe all of the word of god and you are unable to do all of the word your sin is forgiven. @davenporter1 That's not even talking about the Sabbath day. It's talking about the Day of Atonement. Which is a shadow of the better thing to come, Christ (who is the WHOLE POINT of all of these festivals and Sabbaths):

@davenporter1 Colossians 2:16-19

Frankly, these actions wastes time - not to mention violating God's law for doing so.
j4unumber1 1 year ago
@j4unumber1
Um ... I agree with most of that except for the cotton polyester blend. It talks specifically about wool and linen polyester is not mentioned. We must be careful not to add to scripture. But according to the bible the sabbath is on saturday not sunday.
sixthheretic 1 year ago
