  • I was scared of SPQR in Rome: Total war cause they were bad ass

  • @SuperFalco1985 mica sono i romani di allora gli italiani di adesso, con tutte le dominazioni in Italia,,,fenici, arabi, spagnoli ,greci, cartaginesi, barbari ecc, altro che italiani.

  • AVE CAESAR!

  • Vivat imperium quam ego civem

  • Rome may be lost to history, but its legacy lives on, first in the Byzantine Empire who were defeated by the Turks when they invaded Constantinople but the few nobles who escaped fled north to a barbarian tribe called the Russ' who they led to conquer the north to form the country Russia, Rome may have fallen but its legacy will go on forever. All Heil Caesar.

  • glory to rome may caesars wisdom be studied an reimplemented in urope

  • This is Hans Zimmers "Crimson Tide", The Roman Empire didn't even have a national anthem, and if it did, it was lost centuries ago.

  • LA COLONNA SONORA DEL VIDEO E' TRATTA DA VANGELIS? CONQVEST OF THE PARADISE O QVALE?

  • You talk about competition. The result is that someone wins the Competition and take power. This is the ultimate goal of competitorsRomans won this competition. There are a lot of things invented by them:modeling glass blowing, horseshoes, toothpaste, cement...Roman doctors used for examination and surgery, probe, forceps, scalpels, speculum, scissors, needles, cauterization, treat cataract surgery. Roman fleet decovered Scandinavia, they was in in India, they will have arrived in Americas I'm sure.

  • The Roman Empire was the mightiest in human mankind.

The ancient romans and greeks creates europe.

Also in Germany / northern countries (the old enemy of romans) , the romans had a big influence of our culture.

  • @Mindtfreak *thinks about the british empire*

  • @TriggerHappy838

yes i agree. the britains was a little bit mightier in the golden time of the empire.

but britans dont invendet so much like the romas.

  • @Mindtfreak True, but i was referring to the impact on culture these empires had. The brits and the romans both considerably changed the way of living of the countries/civilizations they conquered.

  • @PLASKEplop Why would technology be more advanced If the empire never fell? why ? people say things like this all the time, but I don't understand how you got this into your head?

  • @TigerWOo Because RE was the center of culture in the Europe. There were not nations or states more advanced than RE. When barbarians took the power and destroyed RE,they had poor culturs, they hadn't schools, libraries...They eaven couldn't write, read...etc.And in the european history started the shitty period of Midle Ages.A period when people didn't wash themselfs and shit everywhere they want.Only the Renesance was a new impulse, which correct the situation.Renesance-revival of ancient ideals.

  • @ElTomelu Though Rome was advanced, the empire did little to expand technology to the rest of empire beyond places like Constantinople. When the western Roman Empire fell, it was replaced by the empire of the Franks who in greater extend than Rome managed to unite Europe, and spread their culture through conversion and violence. The idea of the dark ages is no longer accepted by historians, one could argue that the fall of Rome helped to speed up technology, because it gave way to competetion.

  • @TigerWOo Competetion?:D Between barbarians and Romans? :D Wanna see that competetion, lol.Did a little to expand technology?Man, wake up, try to learn something or eaven to travel more. Have u ever seen roman roads in GB or Romania?Or aqueducts in France?Public toilets in Tunisia?Civil Code has spread throughout the Roman Empire after 212 year.Do not compare Franks Empire with R.Em. Franks were barbarians and their kings wanted to be so grate like roman emperors, but they were still barbarians.

  • @ElTomelu Competetion between the other European powers you mong. Rome were for the Romans by the Romans. The roads you mention were restricted to military use because Rome didn't want them to be worn down. The largest arqueduct in france is Pont de Gard, built in where the population was almost entirely Greek/Latin. A few toilets in Tunis is not going to convince me of Rome's commitment to raise living standards in the empire. Besides most major roman inventions were don in 2/1 Century BC

  • @TigerWOo Haha, what are you smoking?:)) "other European powers"?It's a joke? What European power existed in ancien Europe, which was able to compete with R.Em.?There are only "a few toilets" because there were destroyed almost everything by Vandals, Berbers and Arabs (like in whole empire by other barbars). In 212 emperor Carcalla signed the edict "Constitutio Antoniniana", that means that all inhabitants of R.Em. became citizens,so Rome wasn't only "for the Romans by the Romans".

  • @TigerWOo Actualy it is "Pont DU Gard" and it is logical, that Pont du Gard was built in where Latins and Greeks lived. Northen France wasn't exploited so intensive like Southern France. Population in the Northen France was composed mostly by Celtic and Germanic barbarians.People in this part of France werent as civilized as in Southern part, which was a part of R.Em. from 220 BC.Try to answer this questions: Why States like Utah, Colorado or Wyoming are not so developed like other parts of USA?

  • @ElTomelu But this was my point exactly. Rome had a exploitatory nature towards it's Empire, which in turn held back their subjects back from becoming developed, and taking part in "researching"technology. Another argument I must stress is that if the RE had never fallen, then we might not have seen the colonization of the americas, which more than anything else helped speed up the advancement of technology.

  • @TigerWOo Held back? Noo...:). Look, a good exemple, I'm Romanian. Before Romans have conquered Dacia (Todays RM and Ro)there were living Dacians and Thracians (Barbars). When Romans have come, there apeared a proces of urbanisation, there were roads, Civil Code, courthouses, candles, good organisated army, bridges...etc.The Romans knew very well to use and improve the culture and technology elements borrowed from other nations.

  • Haha, hillarious lyrics :P

  • wow if i was a gallic i shit my pants, oh god Rome is coming getta out of here

  • I love Rome

  • @mollarino You were there?

  • ROMA VICTOR!

  • Senatus Populus que Romanus, litteraly stands for Senate and People of Rome

  • THIS IS UNEXPLAINABLE BY WORDS! CRIMSON TIDE + ROMAN EMPIRE!!!! and throw in a bit of music from the rock if you will.

  • what is the name of the song? It's really cool i like it..

  • the roman empire never had any "anthem"

  • @mollareno But if they survived to the modern age they would have adopted one.

  • @mollareno They had military marches and the emperors march. The emperors march served has national roman anthem.

  • european roman empire will rise again

  • @EUFede Roman Empire was not a European empire. Actually there was not a European concept where rest of the Europe was full of barbarians like germanic people. Secondly, Roman Empire had more territory on Asia and north Africa than she had on europe. Learn the facts before you comment!

  • @Revolutionarist88 i know it perfectly but if now in europe we a sort of common culture it is also due to the romans. look at the law for example.

  • @EUFede Now you approach European identity with civic understanding of nation building. But, Ethnic and right wing nationalism are more popular in Europe. It is sure there are some common cultural phenomenon but many differences too. I can say most of the European countries will not have a common stand to become a European state and none of them will abolish their national identity to become one. Therefore, it is not likely there will be a strong state of Europe.

  • @Revolutionarist88 I do not think this is possible now but maybe in the future, infact even the founding fathers of the eu were conviced that Europe will not be created immediately but after a step by step approaching . Furthermore I cannot understand why many Europeans a so scared by the eu . In my opinion united we will be stronger but merging in a federation does not entail loosing our specific idenity

  • @EUFede Perhaps, but in this way which European countries go through, it is almost impossible. Look at Russian federation. They are the one, as they are Russians. They have a common culture. Yes, their federation can be broken, yet they are a federation right now. As you might see, this structure does not exist in Europe. Because, Europe is the place where nationalism was born and where big empires were dissolved because of it. Now, it is pretty hard for Europe to become a single state.

  • Ave caesar!

  • Haha.. NATIONAL ? The first nations formed around 1700 AD . Seriously , read some history, dumbass.

Of course, the Romans did not have an anthem neither.

  • The first nation was formed in 1.492. It´s name is Spain..., the biggest Empire in the History...

  • @Vitalico1972

Sry, but biggest empire in history was the British Empire in the 1920s.

  • espanamierda

    ROMA DOMINA

  • This video has nothing to do with SPQR, you are a shit head. I fail to see how this is worth the fucking space and memory on the Servers of Youtube, as it brings nothing but the word bitch and a shitty failure of a Biblical reference. Seriously, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS ABOUT? "OH NO

    YOUR ON THE CROSS

    BITCH"

Is this suppose to match the song at all?

I hope not. If your goal was to try and show how cool the Roman Legion was, or what it's legacy is. You have failed, miserably.

  • The romans nailed their captured onto crosses dumb ass, if you look at history more often then you'll understand a few things
