If you continue to support Madden on an annual basis, don't you think that you are only hurting the cause to bring 2k back? If the NFL continues to see sale success of EA Madden, the exclusive contract will be renewed on an ongoing basis.

The only way EA Madden will strive to improve is if people simply stop buying EA Madden.

Continue to buy EA Madden and 2k sports will never come back. Stop buying EA Madden and let's hope the upcoming court case goes well. NFL 2k needs to come back, strong.

Why would you keep buying Madden?

Let's say EA Madden sells 1 million units annually. If Madden continues to sell 1 million units w/ each release, there will be no reason for them to change their product and/or make their product better.

From a business perspective, there is in fact no reason to change anything. The model is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Unless people stop giving into EA Madden's marketing hype, consumers will not get a better product

Don't think I disagree with you all the time Ryan, this is a great example of bad AI/ too much user control. I honestly think that this, along with the silly broken tackles that defy physics are great examples of EA wanting to give user control and branching windows to the extreme that you get a boost where you shouldn't and like you said, you should be punished, not rewarded.

The point being made is that EA doesn't try hard enougph do 2 the exclusive licence. We all kno it can't be real. However backbreaker, 2k8, and 2k5 proove that this crap iz not tha best possible. And 4 a 60$ game this is un-exeptable.

Yeah, overpursuit and momentum means nothing in madden whatsoever. That makes the kick return suck, punt return suck, Zone running play suck, QB pocket movement suck....∞...it makes the whole game suck.

In ways, I agree. Every sports game has this issue. How do you make a game fun for dumbasses while being as real as possible. You are right, this is quite a bit too much. 2k makes you pay for THAT much of a mistake. But all devs need to decide - are you sim or not. Users will learn. You shouldn't be able to make that tackle.
