Are any of the drive-train components stock anymore? The main thing stopping me from doing this...er...besides money is that it seems the costs will be compounded in replacing axels, differential, and transmission (although 4-speed trans is a blueballer)
@gangstapanda102 Most likely. You'll have to make your own motor mounts and stuff like that, but I know that a 350 small block chevy will fit in my friend's Austin Healey Sprite. I don't know the measurements of the Midget, but you might have to pull the engine out just to change the spark plugs...again, I'm not sure.
Wowee! Thing I'm most interested in (apart from the engine mods of course!) is how you get the handbrake to work so well! I don't plan on competing mine, but a handbrake that's strong enough to lock the wheels would make me feel a lot safer!
did you change anything on the suspension? and is this carbed yet?

Can the suspention be turned into a modern type setup? Is it hard to fabricate? I dont think there are kits out there
