  • hey, i want to start doing kids parties around the area, and i need some practice. i dont have face paint at the moment, does acrylics do much damage to the skin? i'll use proper face paint at the party obviously... i just want to use acrylics just for myself. any recommendations using them? should i use a moisturizer before hand?

  • Don't practise with acrylics pls. I am not allergic but you might be. Go to your local party ware store or dollar store or craft store and buy some face paints and use them instead. Always moisturize your skin before putting any kind of makeup on. :) have fun with the party!

  • Thank you for this tutorial.. I was putting the face paint with my fingers and.. wondering y it wasn't so smooth 0_0 I liked this a lot thank you!.. but I have one question.. is it possible to put make-up over face paint?

  • beginning of comment below

Others would act like your having a heart attack as if you were from the health department. She is not causing any harm to anybody, including herself (if it isn't causing a rush).I clearly understand the risk of acrylic paint on the face, and she does too, so if she wants to take that risk, that's her choice ALONE.

  • Thank You!! Whew, I never saw such an angry bunch of face painters in my life!lol

  • Are you people insane? is she painting children's faces with these paints, did she die from the paint, did her face disfigure? jeese! She obviously can make her own decisions, which is harming no children with these "deadly paints", what's the huge deal? Yes some of you suggested face paints (which she obviously knows about) in a polite manner

    rest of comment up top^

  • the face paintiing was very cute

  • ty...look for more closer to Halloween

  • Oh, all you people being ignorant just hush up.

I'm pretty sure she's aware that it isn't meant for the face. It's her video ,she can do as she pleases. Mothers of children have minds of their own and i'm sure they are aware that it isnt safe.

    Cute dalmation though :D

  • thanks for coming to my defence lol...gees, I irritated a whole group of face painters lol.

  • Looked EmoGothy

  • Well done for including a more visible warning ... sad that only "PLEASE DO NOT TRY THESE ACRYLIC PAINT" is visible. Something like "DON'T COPY THIS, ONLY USE PROPER ....." would display more of the important party of your warning rather than the "PLEASE DO NOT TRY .... " part!!!!!

BTW --- this is NOT "harrassment" you are getting ... but friendly messages from people who know better and who care about kid's skin and their art.

    You are risking damaging BOTH!

    Safe-Faces dot com

  • I am risking nothing...stop this or I will report you. You are fanatical

  • Hi Bea nobody is fanatical, I think a few of the comments are from new members as your video has been posted a few face painting web sites. which is where I got the link from. As I have said before your Painting is great...it is just your choice of paint that is the problem. I know you have sent a friend of mine a few emails acusing her of harassing you. This is not the case, I know that lots of members were alarmed to know that you were using acrylic paint.

  • Strange that these so called people, all have nothing on their channels, and are very recently opened. I'm not a stupid person nor am I interested in harming children or adults with allergies or skin conditions. If you and your 'friends' had watched my videos you would have noticed I said that you shouldn't use this but I was doing this as a demonstration.

  • I don't for one minute think you are stupid or are trying to harm anbody, the fact you have put a warning on is great.

  • Tell your members to not watch my channel then for if there is any further commenting on this dead beaten horse, I shall remove each and every comment no matter how many times they are posted and I will report each name I have written down. End of story.

  • Bea if you wish to report me to youtube please feel free to do so, I have not been offensive to you in any shape or form. Had you not replied to me I would not be writing this now.

my comment was not ment to upset you, it's just you clearly have a talent so why not use it properly!

  • your faces are good but please get yourself a facepainting kit, they are very reasonable and you could have great fun with your demonstrations.

please don't use the wrong paints, kids won't be interessed in disclaimers they will just copy you.

  • I plan on doing that. I hope this is the end of this harrassment

  • ACRYLIC PAINT FOR FACE PAINTING?!!? You NEVER use artist/craft paint for skin application. I have seen people breakout in rashes from acrylic. Titanium White contains nickel. Many people are severely allergic to nickel.

I'm tired of people using craft paint on children and ruining the face painting industry due to families having negative reactions from painters who are in it for the money, not the art and use cheap products that can have adverse reactions.

  • ok, I put a disclaimer in right hand side box.

  • BTW, I do not face paint on others. This was an example request.

  • But Kids or their mums will copy you and leave it on all day and perhaps all night. Is that OK? Will you take responsibility for that? Safe-Faces dot com

  • Disclaimer is in the right side panel now.

  • PLEASE..... PLEASE.... PLEASE do not use acrylics or craft paint on your skin or anyone elses. The manufacturer will not back you up if there is any bad reactions, since it is not made for that purpose.Buy face paint, there are many many wonderful brands that are MADE for the skin ie: Snazaroo,Paradise,Mehron,Kroylan, Grimmas, Fardel, Wolfe Brothers, just a few brands to mention that are all very easy to order over the internet.

  • Yes, and I will do that. After I did this video I immediately washed it off..and no reactions but thank you for mentioning the different brands of face paints :)

  • I liked it, it was really good.

How long did it take you to do all that?

  • Not very long really. About a 1/2 hr.

  • Ok now that is creepy

  • haha...ok if you want your allowance better do my dishes for that comment ;)

  • wow, you are a woman of many talents. very cool

  • lol thank you

  • Excellent!

  • thanks skibby!

  • I absolutely love videos like this that you make. You sure are talented. Don't stop making these because I love them =D

  • I have fun trying to look like something I am not :) thanks lily for watching and enjoying them.

  • LOL Fantastic..... very creative and fun, This was a much needed lift, Thanks :)

  • aww, were you feeling down? Then, my job here is done lol. (I'm glad it lifted you up):)

  • Does that stuff give you a rash? LOL Great Baybea

  • Surprisingly no it doesn't :) I have very sensitive skin but no allergies to this. I don't leave the paint on long though, it's only to give a guide line to using face paints. :) (btw: restaurant is looking great!)

  • Heh, I love these forays into lunacy. Though I'm not sure acrylic paint is sufficiently nontoxic, Bea. Might be wise to invest in some specialty facial paints if you're going to do more of these.

Which I hope you will! I want to see what you would do with a frog face. :-)

  • hahaah:D I not only walk to the beat of a different drummer, I got lost along the way!

I don't leave the paint on for more than 15 mins. and actually, when it dries it's kind of exfolliating my skin when I take it off lol.

Hmmm...frog face..is this a request? (can't resist experimenting) but yes, I will have to get some face paints. I used to volunteer at events and did face painting for kids.

  • Sure, toss it into the request hopper. Don't rush anything. It's not exactly a critical matter. :-)

  • Wasn't that hard to wash off? Now I dare you to drive around and get peoples reactions on videotape.:)

  • LMao...it was easy to wash off after the cream was on to soften it. It's acrylic paint...water soluable but when it dries on your face makes it feel like it's going to crack!

I would wear a face like that (on halloween) lol
