Lonnie doesn't own the WAR name, conniving producer,Jerry Goldstein does. Lonnie chose to side with Jerry G. and the fame the WAR name brings him, instead of his WAR/LOWRIDER BAND brothers,for ownership of the WAR name and copywrites. Jerry can use the WAR name, because he has at least one original artist of WAR to do his bidding, and that's why this current "WAR" lie has existed for decades. Most "fans" just follow the NAME WAR and not the actual artists that created all those great WAR songs.

I find it funny that most of the posts I read say Lonnie Jordan is a sell out....and that he is not the founding member of WAR, what do you consider a founding member? Scott and Brown started the band the Creators, later the Creators became the Nightshift. Lonnie, a minor, cost the band a gig with Otis Redding. They hired Jerry Goldstein as their producer, he called them WAR, he got WAR to back up Eric Burdon. Eric brought in Lee Oskar. Eric left, after the second album, WAR went solo.....
