  • 6:58 Across all characters, you have played for 5,481 hours 48 minutes over the past 64 months. THATS 228 days, thats two thirds of a year of nonstop gw2 gaming O.O I WANNA PLAY TOO

  • why was there an Apache at the beginning lol

  • 3:18-3:46 Summary of video: Prevent damage instead of traditional healing

  • The reason why I like this (no holy tri), is because one of our healers died last night on Ragnaros (WoW if you don't know what I'm talking about) and everyone just stood there and waited to die. Raid leader just said wipe it and we wiped it.

  • You can defend / support the dedicated healing role all you want. All I care about is that I can group with 4 PEOPLE, and not specific classes. I don't have to wait around for a healer/tank to log on, or wait for them to come back if they DC. Just get any replacement and keep going. I don't have to be something I don't want to be in this game. I don't have to force myself to be a tank or healer just to get into a quick group anymore.

  • Opens by saying "playing a healer is boring", praising the role's removal, and implying that the main reason why people want to play healers is to give them social power by preforming the role nobody else wants to preform.

    No bias here.

Playing a healer during, for example, the launch of WoW Cataclysm was one of the most fun things I've done. Granted, currently it's stupidly easy and boring, but so is everything in WoW right now because ilvl scaling breaks their original plans every time.

  • What about the standard tank class in other MMO's as the tank is also being scrapped in GW2?

  • I'm perfectly fine with arenanet doing away with the holy trinity. And am super excited about how dynamic and skill based the combat is going to be in GW2. But, it's extremely silly when people say healing is extremely boring. In pve, you're basically doing the same "fun" things that everyone else is doing, dealing with fight mechanics. And doing your job of "whack a mole". While the dps and tank are running through dps/threat rotations. Healing is never just a rotation and is far more dynamic.

  • Ha... simplistic? Then you can call EVERY class simplistic.

A tank only needs to attack every mob, then spamming AOE blablabla

A DPS just needs to press buttons in the same order while swapping target.

    See where I'm going?

  • "Healers just look at frames, it's so boring!"

Same logic: "Damage classes just click on something to kill and hit the same rotation of spells!"

This is a really poor argument, I say this because it is proven on many games that a hell've a lot of people really enjoy healing, both in PVE and PVP (Games like WoW and Rift) - If people hated it, the role wouldn't have existed for so long in traditional MMO's, and its the same reason why the role is still being used and will be continued to be used

  • Too much butthurt in the comments, even by youtube standards.

  • I don't agree. Healers occupy the roles of tanks in pvp. There is nothing harder to do than staying alive while healing everyone around. You gotta to triage too when things get too hard. It's harder to play as a healer than anything else.

  • I think it is much more realistic! Support instead heal. Now that is innovative! But I would also say: Every class should be able healing itself by chance. By chance!!!! So it is somehow the fate and your timing and skill as player which decides!

  • None of this matters. So long as there is a damned Wiki (which I call the Cheater's Guide), there is no need for team support. The Guilds become useless because you can get all your answers from the Wiki. It is the single biggest destroyer of cooperative play in the original Guild Wars games and the greatest cause of animousity between players seeking help and players who have used the Cheater's Guide and are too busy to cooperate. I won't buy G2 if the Wiki is operational.

  • @hmghosthost wow, you sir are an idiot, do some research, if you aren't in a guild wars 2 you are seriously missing out. EVERY GAME ever will have a guide or wiki. It is YOUR CHOICE to use it or not.

I feel sorry for you choosing to play the game based on if players make a guide for it or not. You will never be able to play a good game, you might as well stop playing games at all.

  • @Zarkyun **if you aren't in a guild in guild wars 2 you are seriously missing out.

  • @Zarkyun

I wasn't aware the Guild Wars 2 has been released.

See, this is why I think it is so horrible that parents aren't disciplining their children any more. If I had talked to an adult with the same disrespect that you little punks do, I would have had my ass whipped. So, since you have such irresponsible parents you'll have to learn the hard way and have your brains beat out when you make the stupid mistake of bad mouthing the wrong person.

  • @hmghosthost Its not

  • @Zarkyun

Wow, what a violent person you are!

You are so filled with hatred that you freak out from someone else talking about a game.

You need to get some psychological help before you end up in prison some day.

  • @hmghosthost If you payed Any attention to Any of the hundreds of videos showing off the beta, you'd know that's not going to happen. The wikis are maintained by moderators, and are updated constantly so players can know wtf is going on. If you're too lazy to read parts of it to advance yourself, that's Your problem. And the thing that destroyed co-op game play in the original was henchmen/heroes. Not the wiki.

  • @Charrlizard

Your big fat brain is getting in the way of understanding. I've been playing GW from the beginning and when it began the game was played by player cooperation, either through the guilds or be chatting with each other. Then the Wiki came and everyone stopped working out the game together, and when someone now asks for help everyone calls them names. GW has turned into something that it wasn't when it began. It used to be fun, now its overrun with punks like yourself.

  • It's rather presumptuous of you to speak on behalf of ArenaNet.

  • Vanguard Saga of Healers and Age of Conan had awesome healing. Vanguard had 2 classes that did healing by doing damage, Blood Mage and Disciple. Disciple was probably the coolest class in any MMO that I've ever played. Age of Conan took the Heal over time route so it made it a lot of fun because you were able to do really good DPS without having to sit there spam healing. Games like SWTOR are extremely boring to heal in, it makes Vanguard look like the 2nd coming of christ in terms of enjoyment.

  • Sorry for commenting on an old video but how does people not wanting to play support will solve the problem if everybody can do support? You still will find yourself with 5 people wanting to play damage and somebody would be forced to switch to support ot kicked and waiting to find somebody willing to do the job.

  • @JeromAsdert The point he's getting across is the fact that EVERYONE can be DPS, while being able to heal/support other people in their group. You don't even need a group, since everyone is an ally. Soloing is easier, raiding dungeons is easier. Get it? You can do both simultaneously. And THAT is why people call this game The WoW Killer.

  • @Charrlizard Your intent is right but wording is wrong. Everyone can be DPS in WoW. The fact that there is lack of tank/support/initiator/healer or however you want to call it in your version of trinity is not the fact that people can't perform that role but the fact that they do not WANT to perform that role. How is it easier to do a hard dungeon if nobody is willing to play support role? When was the last time you solo que'ed in HoN/LoL and people picked Support instead of Carry?

  • @JeromAsdert What i mean is that anyone will be able to fill whatever role is needed at any given time. If you look on pc gamer, in the question answering section on question 8 you can see the description of two first-hand accounts of a playable high lev dungeon in the beta. With the skill switching system, GW2 eliminated the need for a dedicated healer/tank etc.

  • @Charrlizard The only problem with dedicated healer/tank is that people do not enjoy performing the role. Every healer/tank can perofmr at the very least a damage dealer role, even if everybody would be able to do every role how is it making role of snaring/kiting the mobs(controller) or healing/removing coniditions(support) any more fun? Somebody have to do those actions and if nobody wants the facts that everybody can doesn't help at all.

  • why you have gun?

  • i liked monking especially prot monking in elite dungeons but you made some good points

  • @kurumais I like running Rit ST much better than Monk Healer/Prot. However, having distributed support and self healing is good for several reasons. Basically, before judging if this is a good or bad thing, you will need to play the game.

And your opportunity to do so has been live since yesterday. :)

Open Beta sign up is available now, for approx. 18 more hours. Go to the GW2 website to sign up.

  • I really don't understand ! I played healer in PVP for almost all my gw1 playtime never got bored of it ! I mean what's easiest targeting an enemy and casting/attacking or watching red bars ready to infuse the other teams spike while evading attacks + kitting warriors + coping with teams conditions/hexes + watching ward casting + healing yourself?! A healer need extremely good mana management and also awareness of the map! The easiest dumbest build was iway which kindof did what this guy here s

  • I bet people who actually pay attention are like "WTF" because they see the SWAT guy and don't know that it was an april fools prank in gw1 xD

  • I actually really enjoy healing as it is. This guy sounds like he hasn't played many MMOs to be honest.

  • @fang2714 He's more trying to defend the GW2 systems than to attack the old ones. Does come off that way a little though.

  • really patronising video

  • i love to play healer it is fun for me

  • @Condusive4hell you ruined this vid for me, I couldn't stop laughing for ages

  • I was never a healer I was always an ele and everything but lol

  • I could not agree more with the comment about playing whack a mole. I absolutely love the idea of being responsible for the lives of my teammates but, the more I though about it, the reason I love that idea so much is that it is usually the easiest way for me to prove that I'm a good player. I don't play these games solely to get approval from others, but who doesn't like spending hundreds of hours perfecting their playstyle and then getting a "godly heals" remark as a reward?

  • @rhcp211 To continue, I love that they are giving me ways to support my teammates without having to stare at red bars the whole time I'm playing.

  • If you think "mindlessly clicking bars for hours on end" is boring then play Tera as a healer. I have and no other MMO compares. It is one of the most active roles, constantly on your toes and involvement I've ever seen out of any healer in any MMO.

  • @Xxp0r Having played a bit of Tera, I absolutely agree with you. He's referring more to the WoW, RIFT, War, EQ2, SWTOR, etc. traditional mmo's that are becoming stale beyond belief by now. Both of these games are a badly needed breath of fresh air in the mmo market.

  • just one word.... CLICKER

  • IDK about you guys, but i fucking LOVE healing. the ONLY reason why i play MMO's. reason why i love WoW and Rift. SWTOR has really bad healing. adn GW2 has no healing. D:

  • @zackrulz626 You heal yourself and use skill. You'll grow to love it.

  • @BlankShadowz lol. i love healing other people, not myself....and healing yourself requires skill? lol no. its easier. im not gunna love healing myself. healing others requires skills anyways.

  • @zackrulz626 You obviously can't comprehend the skill it will take to time and utilize the heals correctly.

But really, healing classes are only slightly more difficult than playing a DPS. It's more like you're attacking your team mates with band-aids instead of enemies with fire or arrows. And further, it takes WAY too much focus on the certain build or gear you're using for your usefulness in comparison to actual skill. Think about it, seriously.

  • @zackrulz626 You can heal others, it will just never be your primary and sole purpose. Your character can still be focused on supporting your team through utility skills and certain weapon skills, like a Water Elementalist.

  • @zackrulz626

GW2 has what healing should have always been, support.

so for instance, say im an engineer and im playing support, rather than waiting for my team mate to get by a massive spell and then heal him i instead jump in the way and pop absorb with my shield to stop the damage.

say im a guardian, rather than casting "cure poison" i instead purge the poisons from my allies and convert it into righteous fire to punish my foes.

  • @zackrulz626

say im a warrior, rather than casting standing still for three seconds to cast a spell called "resurrect" i shout "i will avenge you" and cause all my allies to rally(see death mechanics if you're confused) when i kill an opponent. support is what healing should have been, its taking it away from being a passive role where you stand at the back to being a front line thing where you actively participate and i say this as a long time healer.

  • This is great, now noobs can't hide behind healing classes! lol XD

  • @VoreTechz1985 noobs hide behind dps......

  • @immerseview Yeah... Clicking green bars till they are full takes mad skills brah. lol

  • @VoreTechz1985 im not saying healing takes particular skill, but in my experience noobs go dps because there is much less pressure on them, and they can suck and not many people notice. playing whack a mole while avoiding fire is harder than pressing a bunch of buttons in order while avoiding fire.

  • @immerseview LOL! How is whack a mole hard in the least? 3 year olds do it at carnivals...

  • @VoreTechz1985 and pressing buttons in order is so much harder? my point was whack a mole requires you to look at two things at once, whereas in a skill rotation you are free to look at what you want - you can't argue with that, it is what it is.

  • @immerseview Since when did looking at 2 things at once become harder than using a rotation for each different situation? Clicking green boxes takes a lot of skill. If you think you only use 1 specific rotation as DPS you are a nub. lol Healers generally sit in the back doing nothing unless its a stack boss. lol The only time its even moderately difficult to heal is when you have to dispel raid members, and that is again, whack a mole. Healbot made healing derp a derp, why can't you admit it?

  • @VoreTechz1985 you're still going on like it takes skill to be dps... i really can't be bothered. lets be honest, everything in games like wow is really fucking easy (pve wise), and the hardest part is getting a bunch of people who don't quit and aren't shite.

  • @immerseview I can agree to that. :)

    Thus why I quit.

  • @immerseview Haha, than why are there so many, basically more than half of the players that don't know how to dps?

you're an ignorant little GW fanboy that probably never even played GW befor.. like all these other fucking fanboys.

Befor GW2 ..GW seemed like it never even existed.

You guys are all hyped up like retards.. just like those fags that got hyped for SWTOR and all those other mmo's.. we all know what happened after only a month. people go back to WOW.

  • @Vleesball I was actually saying that a lot of DPS players are bad (in my experience), I think you misinterpreted me. and no, I'm not a fanboy - interested in the game, but not expecting a revolution.

  • No healer for pvp :( qq

  • I've been playing healer in every single MMO I've played. I played a Druid healer, Paladin healer, shaman healer in WoW. Playing Scoundrel in SWTOR, played healer in Aion and Monk in GW1. So I'm an experienced healer and I love it.

But I actually think Arena Net is doing a good thing by removing the dedicated healer, because it sometimes gets pretty lame and this will probably bring some extra tapdancing crazy madness to Guild Wars 2.

  • this asshole doesn't know how monking really works. Its way more then watching health bars and just clicking. Its pre protting and highly focus dependant highly time dependant skill use. Good monking is very difficult and requires a lot of skill. This is how I know this guy is full of shit.

  • @m1cojakle So what? You will still be watching the UI in some way most of the time. Sure you have to make decisions, and maybe not very simple ones, and you migh even enjoy this type of game, but that does not mean that there should not be a different approach.

  • The issue is yes it is hard, but with a cleric from WoW or Rift it would be a utter joke. Yeah it will be tough, but I can make WoW/Rift/TOR hard too if you brought nothing but dps and support to a dungeon.

This just sounds like ArenaNET being lazy and when it comes times for people to want to raid with their guild there will be nothing to do. Only thing saving this game from being a train wreck is the B2P payment model.

  • @Puremallace

those people wanting to raid with their guild will hopefully leave the game very very quickly so we're not stuck with idiots who cant realise that their is more to an MMORPG than raiding and sitting around cities waiting to raid.

thank the gaming gods guildwars doesn't have raids.

  • @Puremallace As someone else mentioned, no dedicated healer wouldn't stop them from having raid centric endgame. The reason they don't have a raid centric endgame is because raiding isn't fun, and they don't want "the real content" to only be accessible at level cap. If you disagree with that concept, this game isn't for you. Go play one of the myriad of other games where you race through the first 4-5 months of boring grindfest gameplay, and then run the same 2-3 raids every day until you quit.

  • @WoodenPotatoes What an odd array of custom content you have for your GW1, sir Potatoes.

  • No dedicated healer is the reason why GW2 does not have actual end game pve content. It is just going to be silly watered down crap with everyone throwing out aoe heals in a big clusterfuck. Over rated does not even begin to describe this game.

  • @Puremallace you are missing a key point which is that all players are expected to be able to move fluidly between at least 2 roles during combat. Players who have experienced even the level 30 five-man explorable dungeon content have described it as some of the hardest content they have ever encountered:

    1. Strong Communication to adapt to changing battles

    2. Each player being responsible for their own longevity -- the burden of a group no longer falls on the shoulders of a tank and a healer

  • @Puremallace No, dedicated healer doesn't stop GW2 from having raid centric end game. GW2 could have raids, but devs choose not to add raid centric end game. Market of full of these raid mmos like WoW, RIFT, SWToR, LotR, EQ etc etc, but there is lack of quality mmos without raid centric gameplay. I know I will take my leveling in GW2 because I don't feel like I have to rush to end-game where "real" game start.

  • So i wonder what his new healer opinion is.

  • Britain english accent :D

  • Ok,

    1. Does anybody realize that this is Guild Wars 1?

    2. Does anybody realize that this is not even close to GW2?

    3. This dude is stupid.....

I've played Guild Wars for years and i know enough that this is GW1.

This dude is making an assumption.

Hes not making a video about GW2 hes just ranting and ranting.... T.T

Gaurenteed hes also probably been playing the game for a month, who knows, but i think this is still stupid.

  • @MrSteveMosher Did he say the game in the background was GW2? He is simply saying what he thinks about the holy trinity and what Arena NÉT have done to fix it.

  • @MrSteveMosher yes, we all realise this is GW1.... he never said any different. The man explains the difference between the two very well when it comes to the healer class, or lack thereof. He CLEARLY said, if you took the ten seconds to read what he wrote, that this is his pov based on what he has seen and read.

And if you had gotten to the end you would of seen that he has only been playing for four months. So I think you might want to take a good look at yourself before you call ppl stupid.

  • @82KimKim He'd been playing for 64 months (like 6000 hours total).

  • @MrSteveMosher He knows... He states in a video that he's bored of showing the same GW2 videos, so he's showing videos of the original while talking about GW2. A lot of people are doing that.

  • oh man, this game is going to be great. I've wanted a role playing meets real time action mmo for years! ^u^

  • im realy upset by the lack of love for healers in this game *le cry*

  • @Flamboiant96 healers get a tonne of love, we get to be what we were always meant to be, support.

we wont be just standing at the back filling up green bars, we'll be taking an active role in the battle.

whats better, jumping infront of a fireball and casting absorb as an engineer to stop it hitting your ally or a 2 second cast time on a spell to heal them?

  • @Flamboiant96

or how about purging the debuffs from allies and converting it into righteous fire to fling at an enemy as an guardian as opposed to targeting an ally and instant casting "remove poison"

or how about casting a toxic gas cloud to allow your allies to poison foes with their attacks as a necromancer rather than placing a buff to increase X% damage on weapon strikes?

what sounds more fun? we healers are becoming what we should have always been, support.

  • cant fucking wait for that game to come out!

  • support class will speed up party memebers self healing or protect them. instead of healing you will physically move oeople out of the way, crowd control mobs or put up walls. healing without healing spells.

  • @acesneeks yup, Guess its kinda like prot skills :D

  • loved it subbed

  • seriously how did you get that armor skin?

  • @cowleshome I'm pretty sure its just a textmod

    as well as the skills

  • Its simple why people don't understand, Teenagers do not understand that makes this system better without a healer class becuse they haven't developed their brain propperly yet.

  • @SvitjodsWarrior Not true, why are you picking out teenagers? I was a healer in WoW and I am looking forwards to Gw2 without clicking all over to just maintain others. It is simple though you are right.

  • @BrainwashingZombie Becuse their are normally the ones whining over the "No healer" stuff.

  • Comment removed

  • no more, its the monk's fault, no you nab, it's your own fckn fault..

  • ok how you get the military guys in GW1???

  • @AllMightyDiesel that was the 1th april 2011 event ^_^

  • No dedicated healer? Is Danika looking for a new job?

  • why is there a fucking APACHE in guild wars 2>????

  • @blindingsun This is a video of GW1 with WoodenPotatoes talking about GW2.

The helecopter is a part of an in-game spoof. Commando class I think.

  • @blindingsun aaaahahahahaha!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I have to admit in WoW, one of my favorite toons was a holy priest. However, playing GW1, I enjoy the Ranger the best and when I"m by myslef, seem to heal ok on my own. I think it's very interesting! Thanks for the video!

  • arenanet is making this game different, no one wants this game end up like rift or wow..

  • I used to complain about my arrow in the knee, but then i realised i dont need a healer.

  • I find your voice difficult to masturbate to.

  • @Condusive4hell i dont :o /male =)

  • @Condusive4hell ahahahahah

  • @Condusive4hell I find it hella easy.

  • there won't be a dedicated healer?!?!?!?!?!? fucking bullshit man >_>. guess i'll save on money and heal on the game that everyone acts like is SO hard to beat, wow.

  • @mrtrollolalot Your name....makes your opinions invalid.

WoW isnt hard,we are sick and tired of the bullshit. If you dont know what im talking about, thats fine, you can stay with wow,be a fanboy.

Every class, can do each role to a degree. A elementalist(mage) can tank if need be,can heal with certain spells that also deal dmg,can buff/debuff. A Guardian, can place bubbles(as he said in the vid) that will deflect spells,or heal,etc..

If you say wow is hard....good luck on GW2.

  • @mrtrollolalot Save on money? Guild Wars 2 has no subscription fee.

  • @mrtrollolalot different type of game, why would they use a healer when the game is not built around having one?

  • This Game is a Fail! Without mounts crap game

  • @MegaDiablo3

i hope you are being ironic.

  • This guy thinks its boring to be a healer because he tunnel visions his unit frames like a baddie.. take a step back and get more awareness. You are the problem, not the concept of healers.

  • @xeric080

no, the concept of merely being a health battery who stands at the back and does nothing but watch little green bars is the problem, and im saying this as a long time healer, in GW2 we will take on the mantle of support, we wont just be standing at the back, we'll be jumping infront of fireballs to protect allies, buffing, drawing lines in the ground to stop projectiles from hitting allies, taking off debuffs -and- healing.

what GW2 does it make healing what it should have been.

  • @xeric080 The concept of healers unbalances a game as a whole. The more healing you do, the more health/damage others will do. The less healing you do, the less damage/health characters have. With gear and stats, some people have better health/damage and some healers can't keep up so they try to balance it, but they can't. It's a lot of math to do and it waists a lot of time. If you take the concept of a healing class out and making ALL classes a hybrid type rather than a few, it balances better

  • having healers in games destroys pvp balancing and makes other players feel less powerfull

  • gay.

  • @micanaky yes you are

  • healer is a waste of space and boring to play

  • @jiahong12

thats your opinion, i actually enjoy playing support classes (healing included).

  • Sorry, but the statements in this video aren't true.

Maybe healing is boring in some MMOs, but if you've ever played one of the many healers in WoW in a hard mode raid encounter, it is anything but boring.

It also has nothing to do with whack-a-mole anymore. It's about making the right decisions, at the right time and at the same time be aware of ones surroundings.

I love playing healers. They are fun, and in good games healing has nothing to do with whack-a-mole nor can you tunnel vision.

  • Watching these GW2 videos makes wow look like crap.

  • @xXMercifulFallXx this is guild wars 1, though i dont know if you are talking about this video in particular or about other gw2 videos ^^

  • @ChinookkABLE Oh, I was talking about GW2, I know that this is just GW1.

  • In the defense of healers. Its clearly not as easy as it may seem simply because so many people fail at it. In GW2, the devs wanted to get rid of the Tank, Heal, DPS trinity for other reasons, not because its "boring" to some. They describe healing as being reactive and they want people to play proactive. Preventing DMG before it happens. They're getting rid of primarily heal based skills and replacing them with skills for that will have primary protective or DPS properties and secondary healing

  • I only partially agree. I agree with the notion of just simply healing as a characters trait isn't reasonable and boring, but I do believe that people that have something like a secondary set of skills, that aren't vital but are useful to be a healing ability. SO no characters that just heal or cast support skills but people being able to have it as a secondary skill i believe would be a wiser move.

  • So everyone will be just facerolling dps and wont care at all what other ppl do or not do? sounds kinda like first true solo mmo XD Im kidding right now but Im rly curious how this is going to end up. I can still see boss tactics being simplified because of this that my real worry about GW2

  • @XarkoCZ I'm afraid that I'll have to agree, I see no other way then to simplify the game to make this work. Looking forward to see how it goes tho!

  • There is no dedicated Tank either.

  • clicking skills? who clicks on skills? :S

  • no dedicated healer makes me so happy in gw2 i can remember in gw1 waiting forever to go into missions and dungeons when there were no heros only henchman was a pain and when you finally had a healer they leave halfway ;/ glad gw2 you have self heal and no more ages of waiting

  • 84 people wanted archaic WoW model in GW2

  • @SolaireofAstoria No, 84 people didnt know the commando proffession was only an april fools joke

  • but you still need a tank? why is there a tank then?

  • @Xanerithe lol might need a little more information on what your talking about, what tank are you talking about? who are you commenting to? if its about GW2, there is no tank in it nor was there a real tank in GW1

  • @Xanerithe Pretty much anyone could become a tank in GW1 buffs by healer etc. Assassin, hell I even saw a Dervish do a decent job once. My point being is, tank is a role that can be broke or decent. But a dedicated healer can only be horrible or amazing. Now that you can heal yourself, that handicap of always needing that healer to spam AoE heals and buffs is now out of the way. GW2 is going to be more user friendly and fast paced. No waiting forever for that one Monk.

  • you deffinetely never been good at playing healer classes

  • GW2 is sounding like it will be an even bigger pile of shit than GW1.

Healing isn't broken. Healing isn't boring. Healing doesn't need to be "fixed" or "removed". The idiotic faux MMO player who got into the genre with WoW is what needs to be "fixed" and "removed".

I swear everything has become a casual twitch action fest for retards now. Cut it the fuck out and make a real MMORPG ffs. The genre was fine with Everquest, Ultima, and Asherons Call.

  • @JonathonTheAsshole Except no one plays those (as you describe) "real" MMOs anymore, and the swath of WoW clones that have tried to capitalize on the success of one MMO have only stagnated the genre as a whole and solidified WoW's place in it even further.

GW2 is one of the few that tries to do -something- different, and your cries of "too casual" are just the echos of a disgruntled and embittered person who can't stand to see anything try to appeal to anyone besides you.

  • @JonathonTheAsshole GW2 hasnt removed healing, nor have they fixed it...they've redistributed the role of healing to everyone essentially to remove wait times for a healer, and avoids having to rely on a single player from letting you die.essentially your skill and teamwork decide whether you survive or are just a devourers next meal

  • I stoped watching this video when u said that healing is simple.

  • @SilvesGA Damn right healing isn't simple, tis another reason so many people don't start a monk. I got mine leveled and my first real speed clear was Fissure of Woe, needless to say I did a damn good job.

  • So you wont be able to play as a dedicated healer, but that wont stop you from being able to set up your character's Traits and weapon combo to focus on the profession's support abilities to assist your group. Example being some of the Elementalist's Water-based spells providing added healing effects to certain spells.

  • Opinion on healing is 'boring' .. if it was boring I wouldnt have played healers for 6 years and stayed playing games.

  • you heal ur self in gw2... also no more w8 1h to build up a raid grp like in wow... fuck yeah!

  • @Killkec Too bad there won't be any raids in GW2.

  • @Seguris Dude search first plz watch?v=_1JfSbKjHHI&feature=related THIS is a raid and there is more :D

  • @fungi421

thats not a raid, its a dynamic event, its not instanced and it occurs in the real world in a place called sparkfly fen.

its triggered after a chain of dynamic events get pushed to a certain point, causing tequatl to come.

it scales from 10-100 players and can be attacked by anyone and everyone.

it is not a raid, its just a Dynamic event.

  • @fungi421 As soon as I read the title I realized how stupid you are. I've seen that, and it's not a raid, it's a giant boss dynamic event, so as they call it. If you don't believe me in how there won't be any raids, read this article:

  • @Killkec healing yourself in gw2? that's fucking stupid as hell. there is no way you think that's logical if your a real mmo gamer. and if you think it takes 1h to get a raid together in wow, your doin it wrong nublet.

  • @mrtrollolalot

Look dude... As GW player I know we are already able to heal ourselves... and I played GW and WoW for more then 5 years now... belive me... I know how the system in wow works... it sucks nowdays... 3/4 ppl are totaly rubbish... thats why no tanks and no healers come to epic win... no more 30min dungeon w8 time to form a team...

  • @Killkec more like 2h minimum.
