yu are an amazing song writer, i wish i could write songs like this but i can never finish one ....any advice?

@Kendyx23 Thank you! I would just write about how you feel. If you feel strongly about something (good or bad) just write down everything you feel. It doesn't have to rhyme, just write down lots of thoughts and ideas. Then once you get going, piece together the ideas and turn it into lyrics... turn the lyrics into a melody... and if you play an instrument, add that in too! I would just start with how you feel because it's easier to write about something you know. I hope this helps :)

I loved it Sarah! First I thought it was Beatle Paul's great timeless song but it's a fabulous original. I love your writing,I get into it. The words are really well done beautifully put,you give us a glimpse of your thoughts about a love that's gone bad and they happen a lot so we can all relate to it. It's like reflecting and you do a great job of singing it so sweetly like you always do and your strumming is sweet,I love it. Your guitar is beautiful,is it a new Christmas gift?

I do the same thing get the chord progressions first then work on the melody line then add words. You're so fabulous my dear! And the most gorgeous easily! @cbrb40 I know I really don't like that it's the same title as the Beatles song because I'm a huge fan of the Beatles and when I hear "Yesterday" I think of their song first.
