  • i know i ve commented already, do u have the backing track for this?

  • Hey man just thought I'd stop by and ask where you got the backing track ;) I've Been practicing this I have a little trouble on the acsending part and isn't this lovely piece a Bach piece?

  • well... that is brutal!

  • EVERYTHING

    is a LESSON

  • SUPER CLEAN

  • ... great playing here...

  • Excellent !! my friend. Thumbs up of course. G.

  • Paul Gilbert - Terrifying Guitar Trip: Segment #3 *DVD Widescreen* Copy/Paste that into search and skip to 3:50 to see these exact arpeggios described by Paul Gilbert.

  • thats one thing i gotta start working on again arpeggios, wont this be fun haha nice job man

  • do you pick every note ? when i play this, i pick like 75%

  • @Randyolsson He is not picking all note. doing pull-offs. Do whatever you want, you should be able to play it it all possible ways. But with pull-offs is easier

  • wher can i get the tabs for this paece?

  • great lesson. thank you !

  • It's so clean! This is how arpeggios are supposed to sound on guitar-- none of that sloppy, pick noise scraping shit I hear from 99% of shredders.

  • Very nice. How would you recomend starting to learn arpeggios? Any tips on how they apply to lead playing and progressions as well as where a beginer should start? Thanks.

  • YOU TUBE SHOULD HAVE SLOW-MO ABILITY

  • i want to know the tabs..do you have some?

  • This is all string skipping and is not easy. Go to ultimateguitar(dot)com and look up Paul Gilbert string skipping and you'll find the tab for this.

  • this is cool man

  • Great playing, and you look badass at the end :D

  • yea, dude, very nice. It is brutal. I learned it a few months ago. Tough to learn, but very awesome to play.

  • where's the lesson?i thought this was a lesson?

  • can u post the link for tab?! wanna play it! xD

  • hello brother, that was amazing

  • doesnt sound like Paul Gilbert at all

  • @PaulGilbert60sMind are you kiding?

  • @fujosej no not at all I listen to PG a lot and the only part that sounds like him is the arpeggio part, but that just sorta sounds like his arpeggios. The rest doesnt sound like him at all

  • veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

    Good work

  • what is the best way to practise these?

  • @alexgoettge doing them and not stopping untill u can do em.

  • @alexgoettge hello friend, practice always slow, is the best way

    take care bro success

  • @alexgoettge AND use a metronome. start of as sloow as u need to in order to play these PERFECT. then raise up the tempo from there :)

  • Dude, that was awesome. Very Nice!

  • @duocob thanks brother, take care

  • awesome

  • A guitarist on youtube who actually knows how to sweep properly? Crazy.

  • @Preeemo This isnt sweep picking -.-

  • didnt learn anything

    nice playing though

  • very ompressive.. clean sound dude

  • Fucking very cool.

  • try putting your name up there and not paul's

  • This guy is a MAJOR TOOL, thinks he is ALL that...criticizes others he doesn't understand. A good typist, as it were...so UN-inspiring...

  • muito bem feito cara! bem limpo

  • i feel deceived by the name :'(

  • Nice arpeggios but how this is brutal??? SOmebody please tell me!!

  • @YoLpIsBest brutally difficult and sounds brutally killer?

  • i wonder why he is using a jackson? hes like sponsored or something by ibanezz.

  • Because thats not Paul..haha.

  • @skatedude724 its not paul gilbert ...

  • amazing!

  • hi ho silva!!!

  • pretty clean

  • te cuelgas de la fama de paul gilbert jil

  • right on. man i wish i had your fingers. they are ideal for guitar playing. long, slender. you nailed it man congrats

  • This is just the arpeggio progression from terrifying guitar trip.

  • yes , it look hard at first, but then its pretty easy to nail when you play it

  • dont you have air conditioning units.....

  • sick!

  • yeah it was a super arpeggio

    LOL

  • For some reason, I'm grossed out by this video.

    Like, literally, GROSSED OUT.

  • Good Music. Not a good lesson...

  • @TheJonmarshall just watch what he is doing when he is doing it slow and keep starting the video wear you need its not hard man

  • @anthonydorris I know it's not hard. I got it down pretty quickly; only because he named the chord shapes. It's not a good lesson video because he doesn't explain any of it.

  • @TheJonmarshall it's a good lesson...

  • @TheJonmarshall If you can't tell what he is doing here and figure it out, then its probably too advanced for you to do. This is a fine lesson.

  • @fadetoblack1290 I figured this out a long time ago. It is really easy, all you had to do was follow the chord shapes he named on the screen. I prefer lessons that explain what it is you're playing and how you can adapt it musically.

  • @TheJonmarshall Ok, misunderstanding, sorry!

  • @TheJonmarshall If you can't follow what the's playing during the slow part, you're not ready to play this yet. Seems self explanatory.

  • @aznhxor I've already had to tell like, 5 people this: I can play it just fine. I knew how to play it just from hearing it once, and reading the chord shapes. It's not a good LESSON because he doesn't go into depth about how or why he is playing it. If you had a guitar teacher, would you want him to just play stuff at a slow tempo and expect you to learn to play guitar? A good lesson is a lesson that teaches you new concepts in a way that you can develop your own method of playing.

  • What takes away from the Paul Gilbert Sound is the second guitar in your backing track. PG rarely has a backing guitar on his solo albums.

  • That's...A joke right?

  • I have a Fender strat and i'm going to make it HSS...probably DiMarzio Air Norton S in the neck and bout Dimarzio in the bridge - I'm not sure which one...D Activator X, or Tone Zone, or D Sonic...I Wanna something for prog metal what would make my strat useful in that direction, but i dont want it to be over the top heavy...i would like to have that funky wibe still in there...and i dont wanna it to be much louder that the other 2 coils...

  • HEY, can u tell me what pickups do u use?? and what wood is that guitar made of? thanks

  • they appear to be stock jackson pickups and i think the guitar is probably made from alder as i have one similar to that and its alder. (and i dont just mean looks similar, its the same series just a different colour)

  • the lick is taken from pg's instructional video "terrifying guitar trip".

  • I can't stand players with bad vibrato. I like it old school, long and wide.

  • yea same, not like that kirk hammet bullshit

  • you are not paul gilbert...but nice playing

  • so true

  • string skipping!

  • i like it! saludos men!

  • Brutal!!

  • ooo brutal dice! tampoco la pasion

  • muito massa falo wass fox

  • Could you play it a bit slower please?

  • Grande Sérgio.. execução perfeita. 5*****.. Grande abraço!

  • long fingers...

  • Nice

  • ^^ muito show esses arpeggios ^^

  • can you maybe put up a slower instructional part of video pls cuz that would very much help to learn.

  • 5 start btw

  • sweet man thats an incredible line and the melody is sweet. do u mind if i ask which lesson u got this from? or at least is there a tab(if this is your work)

  • This particular lick can be found on the terryfying guitar trip-dvd if I'm not mistaken

  • yeah, but he doesn't explain it. he doesn't give us the notes. and i want to learn it so bad!!

  • Well, I managed to learn it from the dvd and if I can do it, so can you! He plays it slowly enough to hear the seperate notes.

  • figure out the arpeggios. I dont have em memorized but if you know the names of all of them its easy to figure out

  • Actually he did give you the notes he's playing. He tells you what key signature he's playing in and the pattern is not that difficult to figure out.
