@hackforloser Yeah that's true. Old Norse was a lot like Old English (which is basically impossible to read since it's so different looking from modern English) but those languages you listed are close to Old Norse (and so is Icelandic)
i have the book "The Icelandic Saga's" and its just awsome :O i love history :D and the saga's have always interested me, sadly i find i do not have much time to read it because of school.

Just a small reminder, Languages like English, German, Swedish, etc are based on the Old Norse language which died but some people speak it.

It's Ragnhild not Ragnhildur as she was born and coming from Norway and their version of the name is and has always been Ragnhild..

In old Norse, spoken in Norway during the viking era, it's actually Ragnhildr, only if it was in the accusative tense would it be Ragnhild.

Ragnhildur is the Icelandic version of the name,which is the oldest and most unchanged nordic languege of all Scandinavia
