If I understood your question right then it doesn't really matter which way you turn but I prefer to do the opposite of what I did on the 6th,5th and 4th strings. That would be turning anti-clockwise for you then?

Having hosted open mics and jam sessions, I've noticed that many guitarists can't stay in tune because they never learned to properly install a set of strings. This video explains it quite clearly.

For those who posted complaints about the video, maybe you should find something significant to do with your spare time.
