No comic to movie adaptation is perfect and NEVER will be, but when you are looking for accuracy vs pure entertainment there is a lot of difference. One thing I appreciated in Ray's movie was that every scene only used 3 colours, just like a comic book. The thing I can never forgive in Jane's movie was his neighbours, popping round for drinks & snacks etc that whole 1/2hr should of been cut. He doesn't make friends (has about 3-7)

Thomas Jane "is" the Punisher. Nothing against the new guy who played the role in part 2 but Jane was made for that role. He a already got that tough guy swagger down in real life,it was only natural that he had it in Punisher. One of the worst mistakes in awhile was letting him walk away from the sequel. Should have given him a better script to work with:/

I saw the clip along time ago, it's Jane. He and Raimi are good friends and Jane, being a comicbook fan, wanted too make a short appearance/glimpse in the movie. But notice, it doesn't show him wearing the Punisher Logo, but just the black jacket, clothes, ect. If he were too wear the logo, Lionsgate could of sued too have the whole scene cut, or sue Sony Pictures.

ya know, this makes me wonder why the punisher was never a villain in the spiderman movies, castle's first ever appearence was in a spidey comic, it would have been a great nostalgic on screen experience...especially thinking about what sam raimi could do with the frank castle charector...makes me kinda wet between the thighs actually!

ray stevenson is awful as the punisher, first off hes too short and doesnt look strong enough, he has no charisma, he looks like he never washes, he took himself way to seriously, thomas jane is the best

You're full of shit, The name doesn't appear, and that is not him. Lions Gate refused to license the Punisher movie image to Columbia. There is no way that the 2 film companies would allow it.

Hopefuly there will be a lot of really good real life comic movies soon. Since the studios now got the possibilities to make all the powers of heroes and villains believable (sort of ;OD). Thanks to CGI!
