  • Lennon explaining why he left the Beatles, in a way in which only he could.

  • I was in college the year double fantasy came out and I remember listening to the wheels song on the radio and a short time later the DJ announced Lennon was dead. I actually cried that night one of my hero's was gone. I bought the cassette and listen to this song from Lennon and being a fan knew he was telling us he had changed or settled down with his family taking everyday as they come and go. One of my favorite songs and hero. Thanks John and the Beatles. Thanks Youtube.

  • After you listen to this great JL tune check out my tune IF LENNON WERE HERE folks at my channel! thanks

  • I used to be pretty sad about The Beatles breakup, and upset about Yoko getting in the middle, all that jazz... Now I guess I'm growing up because I'm actually pretty thankful to Yoko for taking John out of the rotting Beatles situation, bringing back the balance in his life and giving him so much joy and inspiration for those great songs.

  • Nick Trapasso

  • John dans cette chanson , résume mon état moral .

    MARRE DE LA VIE !!!!!!!!

  • No offense, but there sure are a lot of misguided people here. MDC was broken in the head, sure, but he had nothing to do with capitalism (nor was his murder of lennon associated with it).

Hating on rap is about as stupid as hating on other genres of the music. Most people who hate rap don't even bother trying to listen to it before judging it.

  • A Lennon masterpiece.. I listen to it when I'm down.. to all of you who love this song as much as me.. I hope to make love to you in the near future.. male, female.. I'm not a hater.

  • Beautiful Song.... Sad to know that he had a brand new life and in a instant it was taken away... God Bless. To Yoko Ono, love and hugs to you

  • oh ps really like the video - well done you x

  • beautiful song ... beautiful man ... a real loss x

  • Holy shit !

    Do we have a chance?

The phenomenal stupidity that permeates society today is truly mind numbing.

Thank the powers that be that John is not here to watch the total dearth of any semblence of common sense

  • remerber,ttose old console stereos

  • I'm 14 and I listen to this music in 2012. ♥

    John Lennon forever. ♥

  • @TheCindych1 I'm 164 and I'm listening to this music in 1955!

  • @MishimaYukio17 You should probably make fun of me when you told me your age.

But my comment was not meant to tell my life, but to prove that John Lennon and the Beatles are and will remain the best singers in the world. Even across generations. ♥

(Sorry for English, I am French.)

  • @TheCindych1 If you're French then perhaps you know this word: Cliché.

  • @MishimaYukio17 Yes, I know that word .. But I really do not see the report ..

  • @TheCindych1 its great to hear that young people listen to this , your very lucky because there are so many fantastic songs that have have been written for every one to listen to . congratulations on your appreciation of good music !

  • @Christine1234517 Thank you for your comment.

Compared To Others Who listen to rap .. Not that I Consider rap, I end calls not like music.

So at the time of the Beatles, the singers Proved fun .. It was wonderful. I very much regret not Being Born at That Time.

  • John Lennon was such a great artist!

  • Brilliant ....

  • paul "its a drag int it"

  • 49 people obviously dont know what music is... this music is classical and the piano in it shows how much of a genius john lennon really was.

  • @cheeseonwheels1 make it 50.w/ thumbs down. i will not be bully by faceless. keep in mind that i lobve the song i just hate being bullied.

  • Did u kno this was johns first time recording playing piano,

  • you know, there are more good people in this world than bad people, but we, the good people, find it really hard to fight against the powerfull bad people that makes all of ours decisions. We all have to have hope and stand up to deffend our rights, thats what John Lennon taught me. (sorry for the bad english)

  • @sofiiaporto good point, but to be honest there are WAY more BAD people then GOOD people.......society made it more difficult to be good and easier to be bad, most people are lazy and take the easy way.....peace and love to all, especially the good ;)

  • @vedderclone yeah man you're right about that most people prefere the easy way, but it doesn't make them bad people, in my oppinion bad people are just a myth, and i maybe sound really silly and naive but, you know, I'M A DREAMER, and because of John I know i'm not the only one

  • Comment removed

  • @sofiiaporto SUPERB

  • All those who say Mark needs to suffer and die. You are just going against what John was trying to teach us all. Peace and Love.

  • @JoRdAnCaStRo7 Mark suffers by living, not dying! -Though he killed John Lennon, he failed to kill his message

  • @JoRdAnCaStRo7 fuck u

  • Comment removed

  • @JoRdAnCaStRo7 Haha, take the libtard ideology and think criminals shouldnt be punished and you get a society full of them. Mark killed john, a man promoting peace, therefore he stopped the promotion of it by john and put and end to johns ongoing influence on peace. Therefore, mark made the world more violent/less peaceful place. You and anyone else who thinks he shouldnt suffer/die should be ashamed of yourselves.

  • @allstar00442288 John was one of those "libtards" so why are you here?

  • @iwwobblie not necessarily, he promoted anti war campaigns, not campaigns that say "hey if you shoot someone its ok we need to promote love and to do that we should just let murderers go". Theres a difference between being anti war against pointless ones (like vietnam) and being a libtard that thinks criminals shouldnt be punished.

  • @allstar00442288 Any war between nations is a pointless one.The only war worth fighting is the class war.Nobody said we should just let murderers go,it's just we shouldn't wish death on a person who did a horrible thing because he was mentally ill and didn't have access to treatment. The capitalist system killed John Lennon,Chapman just pulled the trigger.

  • @iwwobblie "any war between nations is pointless"

oh really? Before you make stupid comments like that, just think even for a second about what youre saying. There are evil people out there and that will always be unpreventable. Was it pointless for the allies to declare war on nazi germany after it invaded so many other countries? Obviously not ,because if we just stood down and didnt declare war, germany could have taken over the world. Any war is not pointless, they happen for reasons.

  • @allstar00442288 if the allies hadn't turned a blind eye to HItler's actions and to his (militarization, abolitions of points of Treaty of Versailles, etc), there probably would not have been war at all.

  • @atazhanov1993 no shit, not turning a blind eye would have been to go to war and stopping it early. You pretty much just proved my point.

  • @JoRdAnCaStRo7 But Mark is a jerk, anyways.

  • @JoRdAnCaStRo7 No. Mark needs to suffer and die so he can be at peace with the worms underground.

  • "An eye for an eye would make the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi

  • Exellent ....

John Lennon Is a Genius .

  • Nice :)

    abeldanger(dot)net

  • I love you so much John. I think of you as my dad, since I don't have one. You have no idea how much your music has helped me. I was on the brink of suicide when my band teacher played this song, it is such a wonderful song. I wish you where alive right now. Thank You, John. I love you.

  • you must be a real nice person

  • This song came on the radio while I was in my car on 12-8 of this year. I was almost late for work because I sat in the parking lot and let the song finish before I went in.

  • :D

  • =)

  • Watching the wheels that go round and round..

  • Sure miss his presence!

  • Sure miss his presence!

  • This song came on the radio the other day, how did I not know it was by him ;_;

  • I love John Lennon asa an artist

  • "there's no problem, only solutions" a phrase we could learn to adopt...i have to let it go !!" no truer words have been spoken !!!!

  • Song is so, clear, and true

  • this is my life

  • yoko...eww

  • Does anybody else notice that guy from The Girl Next Door, Klit, looks like John a lot?

  • @jakerazz No he is ugly!

  • Trapasso

  • IDK about you guys, but for some reason I always get the chills/goosebumps @ around 1:38 & 2:52...Great song, amazing musician, better person. R.I.P.

  • John Lennon 1940 - ∞

  • Paul was the best Beatle

  • @Harold6913 i would have to disagree and say john by was by far the best Beatle

  • @1austinlee7

It really dosn't matter who was better, they were all great and we miss both John and George a lot.

  • @CallsignGooser very true!!

  • NOBODY should DARE forget the magic John Lennon brought to this world! Watching this video, being a Beatle's fan, I'm proud that I've discovered the Beatles & the magic of John Lennon's music! We love you very much, John! In my opinion, you were the best Beatle! :D

  • helvetin hieno- that is so good. after 30 years,,,

  • Fantastic Song.

  • Of course The lyrics is all about the M!5 and M!6 and so is Instant Karma and Mind Games

  • Coincido una de las mejores obras del artista mas grande de todos los tiempos. Gracias John, la humanidad jamas te olvidara.

  • Lennon was the best Beatle and was much better goinmg solo!

  • 1BLKnUSA bob Dylan sir.

  • @WaleedDaGreat Bob Marley was also fighting the good fight like Dylan and Lennon.

  • This man was the antithesis of war and hate.

  • Question: name an artist that was more pertinent as it pertains to the issues of their time? Beyond the performing on stage and in the studio, Lennon was out there making himself heard on the issues at hand, fighting the good fight.

  • I just merely stated an opinion guys, you're not required to agree with it. To me, based on what he stood for, wrote and sang about, he's the most important. Thanks.

  • Me? Cant be sittin here, Watchin The Wheels Go Round Round! I got nothin but love for John! I like his singer/songwriter shit, not so much when he just covered the blues. I just think he's bettah than that! My two cents!

  • Thanks for sharing this. I miss him, too. Watching your video made me feel sad, but also happy. I always want to remember John Lennon.

  • peace love and happyness.

we all love you john lennon <3

  • john lennon rocks! he is such a gteat song wrighter.

i played this song for my grandpa a cuple of days ago. this song reminds me of him. he has a very bad leg injury. just take a cuple of minuts to listen to this song one more time. <3

  • @Mrbuddyrocks yes, he was great

  • you gotta b a cool guy to write this fckin song.

  • Please Excuse 31.

  • i really wonder how the world would be if he were still here

  • @chickenbutt6000

Him being here would not have made a scrap of difference to the world in general. No man can change human nature, but more to the point, what wonderful songs like this have we lost by him not being here for the last 31 years to write and sing them.

  • @chickenbutt6000 It would be no different... maybe more John Lennon songs, that's about it.

  • @chickenbutt6000 the same shit i think :/

  • @chickenbutt6000 he wasnt no threat to anybody he wanted just make music

expressing his art and talent thur music, man it a beautiful thing when you leave that behind as a legacy for others to fellow .

  • I am a threat to mark david chapman

  • @whittingham4665 would you please stop saying this name at John Lennon's videos.

    or at any video.

This guy doesn't diserves to be mentionated at any videos.

    that's all he wanted.

  • @GustavoVillarBatera i wont offend again i apologise..lennon and harrison are the only people that i loved ! i am alone now with just there records but its not enough! i am saving for america and i wont be back! yours sincerely john

  • @gell7 no he was a threat to someone....that's why he's gone now

  • @chickenbutt6000 a helluva lot more civilized; that's for sure..peace

  • @chickenbutt6000 just a better place

  • Nice tribute to my hero, RIP my friend. Peace & love.

  • I miss him.

  • There is no arguing defense against the obvious insurmountable evidence that we must be one with our planet and each other to achieve balance and happiness. What will it take for us to awake and devote our hearts to serving? More violence, more death, more war? Haven't we had enough already. Our planet cannot tolerate much more ignorance on our behalf. Be the change in every waking moment. Google "truth contest" then read "The Present". What it says will unite our world.

  • @Clear3490 its not us, ill bet the whole world wants a change and we do love nature But were run by big people that rules they dont care as long as their getting their billions in. they will never let us join. instead theyll makes fight n hate each other money is too power full..

  • @07json07 It's not us? Do we idly stand by and let others make the rules. There are more poor people on this planet than rich. Everyone is a skave to the system. Even the rich. We all think money is the answer to fulfillment but it's not, truth is more powerful than anything. There are such things as nonviolent revolutions. TruthContest(.)com check it out.

  • Un artista completo con una obra musical de sensibilidad y al frente de la vanguardia estética por el amor y la paz para pensar y soñar el mundo.

  • R.I.P. John! I miss you soo much!

  • :16, my favorite pic of Lennon EVER!

  • R.I.P John... Julia would of been real proud... your legacy continues

  • John Lennon's spirit and legacy will forever live on!!!! R.I.P. JWL

  • oh a couple of albums more wouldn't have hurt no one.... Though in retrospect it only accentuates the prominence of a hapless crew from Liverpool....

  • Back then Western civlization meant something..

  • :'( i miss you JOHN!

    rest in peace <3

  • RIP Johnny!

♥♥ John Winston Lennon ((°J°)) We All Shine On ♥♥

  • Sadly missed

  • John Lennon was perhaps the first man to realize the stupidity of the American government. He was perhaps the most influencial peace-activists. Perhaps one of the first to go against the public-eye and marry a woman of a different race when it seemed so publicaly wrong. These are the small things that I love John Lennon for. I'll miss you, John!

  • The man who shot John was only a tool! He was psychologically programmed to carry out that murder. Don't be fooled! Watch the film "The U.S. vs. John Lennon" for the reason for the assassination, and learn about "Gang Stalking" for how they did it.

  • R.I.P. John Winston Lennon, (9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) ♥♫ ~{\0/}~

  • RIP John. 31 years...

  • Well, I tell them there's no problem, only solutions".... R.I.P "

  • I sincerely love this man even though i did not live in his generation, although i did not meet him, his music changed my life in oh so many ways, for now i see the world how it truly is both the bad and the good, for a soul like lennon's touched my human tissues since I was a child, he belongs to my family though not by blood but by human soul and connection, long live your spirit man, long live LENNON......

  • I remember once reading an article in a guitar magazine, where the author wrote an imaginary interview with Jimi Hendrix, the legend having survived his drug overdose and gotten clean. I've always wanted to do that with John Lennon, because I can only imagine the things he'd have to say about the way the world is now, but I know that anything I say will be only incredibly inadequate. The only one who could ever speak for John would be John.

  • R.I.P. JOHN

  • Lets not name that man's name ...lets talk about john instead :)

  • sorry..I mean 12-08-...my bad.

  • this is a day that should be thought of as holy( 12-01-)..and I will think of it as just that. Thank you John Lennon, you won"t be forgotten..

  • Is it really 31 years?? My heart still aches. RIP John.

  • Thanks for the video. One of my favorite songs by John.

  • Imagine if he was still alive now he still be making g8 musicthat was all taken away 31 years ago by mark chapman

  • @MsFanmail Yeah, it sucks. Imagine how much good music Lennon could have made if he were still alive.

  • @MsFanmail He'd be 71--still not that old!

  • this is probaly my favorite song by john lennon. Such a tradgedy that he had to leave this world so early. R.I.P.

  • Poor John... Still just a boy. Imagine what he would have said with age..... People say I'm crazy..........;(( Keep on dreaming world the nightmare is bound to end. And the daydream to begin. ~;)))

  • Forty years were far too few.

  • cant imagine anyone would dislike this

  • Love this song. We played this at my dad's funeral.

  • fuck i love this song. been listening to it for the last 2 days

  • My friends dad's friend sped off into a shallow part of a river, and broke his neck and was paralized from the neck down, and if you listen to the lyrics it fits his story... It's kinda sad.

  • @Kikoisinusgirl yea, my dad gets all torn up when he hears this. peralized paul.. :'(

  • In my opinion, the most important artist of all time.

  • @1BLKnUSA you're talking about john lennon right?

  • @1BLKnUSA Its everyones opinion or at least it should be

    Keep On Loving

  • @1BLKnUSA correct opinion

  • @1BLKnUSA no hes not.

  • @TranceAnton who is then?

  • @1BLKnUSA Agreed. He was as real as it gets.

  • My life in a song.

  • this song is my second favorite to ...Imagine.

  • i seriously cry every time i see this. lennon was a true inspiration and an example for the entire world to follow. thank you for the powerful slide show to go along with an already powerful song..

  • Thank you. Pretty good. Best songwriter of all time. However him WITH John was better than either by themrselfs. But John was the better of the two

  • Paul and John :o <3

  • I still cannot listen to Double Fantasy without getting choked up, I miss him so much. I played his part in a garage copy band in the 60's. He was such a big part of my life growing up. I love you, John.

  • All of the top comments are sad because they are about Lennon's death. I think of his life when I hear these songs not his death. After all why should a million moments of his life be overshadowed by the one moment of death. I choose to celebrate his life.

  • 02:10 cute xD
