I was told I was going to get disfellowshipped if I didn't take the presiding overseers advise. I told him that this was unscriptual. He told me if I even told any other JWs about our conversation I would get them disfellowshipped! What? Seriously, I have been a JW for 21 years, I was shocked! This presiding Elder just came from Bethel, after over 20 years too! I thought something was just wrong with him, and I should wait on God to fix it. It never got fixed, so I did research.

Matthew 4:17 is when Jesus started preaching. He taught his disciples how to preach in Matthew chapter 10. Matthew 10:14 tells them to go house to house. Matthew 24:14 says this good news of the kingdomwill be preached in all the nations before the end comes.
Jesus commanded his disciples to make more disciples at Matthew 28:19,20,"Go therefore and make disciples..."

Smart people, I'm so glad I got a clue and left. I had a few questions, namely why my parents used the same logic to prove the Flood (global stories about something similar happening) and then used the same logic to disprove life after death. Not to mention no one ever could give me an answer to how someone knew they were part of the 144,000. I mean it's been 2,000 years since Christ's death and you believe that there are still slots left for a place in heaven if everyone doesn't go there?
Time has past and I'm confident that these former JW's regret the day they brought reproach upon Jehovah's name. You have to look deep into the word of God pray for wisdom to understand His truths and He will reveal them to you, just as He have to the faithful slave James 1:5. Judging by the clothing and audio/video equipment it was probably taped in the mid 70's.

It says look out for 1975. It doesn't say in the magazine that Armageddon will happen in 1975. It was a sensational rumor. WBTS never said that.
