it's a memory hog, and it's just a eye candied version of XP.

7 'SHOULD' be better, but if not, I'm switching to Linux or Mac/Unix.

Windows Vista Sidebar makes life that much more convenient - I have the usual clock, a CPU/Memory meter, a hard disk space indicator, My Pictures Slide show and a battery meter. These gadgets work beautifully and its always nice that I just have to glance at it for a second to get that little extra but meaningful information.
