  • Just got done watching this film, and it is truly phenomenal. It is easily one of the greatest films of all time, and i've seen 'em all.

  • why the fuck has this got a different narrator. the original narrator has an amazing voice,

  • One of the bestest movie of Brad Pitt but one of the most underrated one, truly they should have eyes to see this kinda movies.

  • This has got to be one of the best trailers I've seen. The music and imagery are stunning. I now really want to see this.

  • this film was actually beautiful. Every shot stunning, the story line compelling, a roller coaster of emotions and a fantastic ending. By far my favorite film

  • Most movies are shere cinematic entertainment, and after a few days you only recall notable scenes and characters for how they entertained you. But occassionally, and very occassionally at that, a movie truly justifies the title of a masterpiece in art. The features of the movie are etched into your brain, and you think about it for days on end, trying to find justification and reason. What can you or humanity derive from the meanings? Is their an answer, and how has such genius become manifest?

  • that music..

  • This is probably my favourite movie of all time. It has a big difference with the movies nowadays. So im wondering if this is a specific genre? Its all so silent, relax and beautiful, like the movies Gomorra and Boy A. Can anyone tell me if these kind of movies have a specific name? (Sorry for bad english)

  • robert ford was the best

  • i was born on sept 5th and he was to :D

  • You wont believe me if i told you that i watched this movie 58 times (i sware 58)

  • I think this is a great movie with some great actors. Its indeed heavily underrated for some reason and i think that reason is that its maybe not a mainstream movie and more likely will be favorited by a different group of audience (like us), most people like movies with many actions and fantasy (bullshit) stuff happening otherwise you will quickly get the reaction: Im boring looking this movie.. but for myself i LOVE looking REAL movies with a great story! Pitt couldn't have played it better!

  • This film was amazing with some really great actors on top of their game, the ending is one of the best I have ever seen, this is in a movie my top 5 of all time movies

  • Just saw this, so good! Definitely one of my favourite movies of all time

  • Look at my red hands and my mean face......and I wonder about that man that's gone so wrong.

  • This film ought have won best picture, screenplay, score, best actor, supporting actor, choreography.. A film such as this, a great film, an epic story is told, and it doesn't gain the recognition it deserves. If you love the movie, read the book! You won't be able to put it down.

  • Went to see this with some friends, none of us expecting nothing more than a movie to kill some time with..

Boy were we wrong.. Its AMAZING. Brad (even tho i don`t like him all that much) made Jesse so alive and complex.. you never know what the guy is thinking or is going to do next! The entire cast did a damn fine job!

    5/5

  • incredible movie , casey affleck was outstanding

  • Okay this is weird. My names James and I was born Sept. 5th, I have another friend named James and he was born April 3rd.... kinda strange....

  • I just watched Ned Kelly last night and there are definitely some similarities between between the two films (outlaws, gangs etc) but - the cinematrography and score in this film are a work of art - I personally don't have much interest in the actual plotline but I could watch it over for the way it's been filmed alone - truly amazing. Can't help but think I'd have enjoyed Ned Kelly much more too if it had been directed in a similar way (even tho the score in that is good too).

  • Best trailer in the history of film...might well be one of the best films ever...

  • Great movie ! Btw Roberd ford was more "confused" than coward...

  • underrated, underrated, underrated - im sick of it ...

sure this movie is great but it isn't fucking underrated

  • Casey Affleck is one of the greatest actors of our age !

  • @JustSergiu...... that comment.....SPOT ON THE BUTTON!!! shame that classics like this become underrated while crap movies with acters and stories that are cheap, and lame do so well....

  • This movie and Casey Affleck are not underrated. They are just not that good.

  • @SmokingCures actually your face is not good. but i agree with u about Casey

  • Truly a masterpiece!

This is the best movie I've ever seen!

    SO underrated

    Casey Affleck i SO underrated!

MAGICAL music! Goosebumps all the freaking time!

I can't get enough of this movie!

    Enough said?

  • The title is a little bit long xD just a little...

  • The three most underrated movies of the last decade

    1. Assassination of Jesse James

    2. Children of Men

    3. Zodiac

    thumbs up if you agree

  • @starwarsguysrule I agree with the first one but I have not seen the other two

  • @starwarsguysrule Don't forget Rescue Dawn another great underrated movie

  • @starwarsguysrule OMG no !!!

  • @starwarsguysrule Children of Men, SUCH a good movie

  • @starwarsguysrule Children of men had amazing critical acclaim man...

  • I'm related to Jesse James blood relative and I even think u who say "fuck bob ford" or "he such a coward ford is" I think its stupid cuz Robert ford didn't want to kill Jesse he didn't kill Jesse to claim fame he killed Jesse to save his brother Charlie but other than that who else can watch this movie repetitively and it still bring tears to your eyes?

  • @ScoutSniperTman well I agree with you...but the part about you being related to Jesse James is moot. I'd be willing to bet you a thousand dollars that you're of no such relation to Jesse James, and if there is a Jesse James in your family tree, it's not the same one that is featured in this movie...

  • @ScoutSniperTman If anything he is brave, for going with James knowing that at any moment James could kill him, for if he was a coward he would have left everyone he valued to die.

  • Fuck I really wish the guy doin the voice over in the beginning of this trailer did the voice over in the actual film just a small complaint for an already great film.

  • @India1986 I strongly disagree. I'm so tired of that almost comically masculine, overly dramatic type of voice that you always hear in trailers and commercials.

  • Even tough Brad Pitt is one of the best actors in history, Casey Affleck's the one who does the movie.

    Thumbs up if you agree.

  • boring shitty moviei hate it

  • only two people in america that europe knew of was mark twain and Jesse James

  • I just finished the book this is based off. The film follows the book so closely. Its amazing.

  • @thom9434 That must be why its staggeringly long.

  • "I go on journeys out of my body and look at my red hands and my mean face and I wonder about that man who's gone so wrong."

  • jesse james is my relative he is my great great cousin

  • i'll knooooock on yo' dooor. and ill be mad as a hornet...i will be hot..

  • It was a shame that 'No Country For Old Men' was released in 2007 because honestly speaking, Casey Affleck deserved an Oscar for his performance in this. However, having said that, Javier Bardem also deserved his Oscar for his performance.

  • this is hauntingly beautiful

    so fuckin under-rated

some idiots would prefer 'transformers and fast and furious' over this

  • There should be more movies like that ! Extremely good actors, sphere, music. I'll never forget this movie and I'll watch it again soon...

If you liked it, get the soundtrack by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis !

  • Pitt good, Sam better... CASEY PRICELESS...

  • Masterpiece!

  • I love Casey's voice <3

  • This movie is extremely underrated and Dick Liddil tells us the reason: "Poetry is not for whores".

  • @JustSergiu good one

  • @JustSergiu "Nah...poetry don't work on whores."

Remembered that in an instant! Haha! :D

  • is this a gay movie!

  • @ouchh100 you're a gayboy! Go troll some justin bieber video or some shit, homo!

  • @mrDeffBeatz haha i hate justin bieber so i dont know what the fuck ur talking about, and i was just asking, fucking homophobic dickhead

  • @ouchh100 OHH, I misread that, my bad guy :P

I though you said This IS a gay movie lol

Nah it isn't, got watch it, it's immense :D

  • @mrDeffBeatz no problem:p

  • I'm related to Jesse James. No joke Im not kidding

  • @Thesportsman811 Probably falling for a troll, but I'll bite, do tell?

  • @rytrospyk1 No, he is not trolling, unless his grandmother is a liar (I'm Thesportsman811's cousin). Our great (times some number that idk, nor do I care) uncle is his brother, Frank. That's the rumor in our family at least.

  • @PygmyAlpaca You should care, thats pretty cool if its true. I don't know what that makes you to Jesse, but the fact that it makes you anything is pretty slick.

  • @rytrospyk1 Oh, no, I do care, I just don't care how many greats there are in Uncle Frank. If that makes much sense, lol.

  • @PygmyAlpaca No no, it makes sense. I wish I had somebody like that in my family history.

  • @Thesportsman811 me too bro. very distant though

  • Brad Pitt's Best Performances: (These films are in no particular order, but show his true versatility) 12 Monkeys (1995) The Curious Case Benjamin Button (2008) Moneyball (2011) Seven (1995) Inglourious Basterds (2009) The Tree of Life (2011) Fight Club (1999) Snatch (2000) Babel (2006) The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007)
  • " I look at my red hands and my mean face, and i wonder about that man whose gone so wrong."

  • I love this movie I finally bought it lol

  • that move is litterally grate...i was really tuched by it..the wholle cast is grate and brad pitt just biond the words he's too good to be true..he just nailled it...so did casey he's a grae beformancer...lovvveee the move and the real storyy <333

  • @zhalla17 Excellent post. The lack of ability to type and/or spell words correctly made it much more impacting.

  • Tonights masterpiece is real filmaking.Direction 1st class.Story a century old,yet modern.Brad Pitt's acting is so good that he make's the 3rd cowboy from the left look good.An understated classic!!This is real cinema.Movie's like this is why I love cinema and why all these shakey handheld/remakes/prequels*with a few exceptions*are ruining cinema.Making a movie is a artform!!Apollo 18/Paranormal whatever are crud!!!This is my movie choice for tonight:)

  • Brad Pitt is a genius!

  • Jesse James the very legend WEST....the best

  • Brad Pitt is taller then 5'8''

  • I'm talking about in the actual film by the way

  • Does anyone know what the heck some of the gang are shooting at outside the train when they're trying to get that guy to open the safe? It looks like they're all trying to blast a ghost or something lol

  • Even trailers for brilliant films aren't this good. This is magnificently edited trailer. (y) The film is a masterpiece on its own however.

  • @kieranmatiz Really well-put. Trailer in and of itself is a work of art. Also, see The Tree of Life, equally as enticing!

  • Casey is the most underrated actor in history.

    thumb up if u agree

  • @saudLFC He is amazing in every single thing I have seen him in. LOVE him!

  • @saudLFC He played Robert Ford perfectly.

  • Gosh. It must have been fantastic living back then, when the criminals actually had something they believed in. Now it's all drugs, and money, and blaah....

  • "Here Lies Jesse James, shot down by a dirty coward whose name is not worthy to appear here... "

  • the most underrated film I have ever seen. this film is a MASTERPIECE.

  • I was hoping in red dead redemption there was gonna be a costume like the when were brad pitt robs the train it would of looked sick. but i guess there isnt

  • I still don't fucking get it, why was everyone hating BOB? He did the world a favor and shot Jesse. If anyone understands it please tell me

  • @Alpito123 It is because jesse became a legend. people liked him for various reasons, especially in the south. he was shot in the back. By a man considered a coward. He, Bob, was neither a criminal nor a genius, just a coward who betrayed Jesse.

  • @Alpito123 Jesse only ever was feared by the rich and the ruling class - he was a hero like his equally famous cousin in Australia. The people loved them for what they did standing up to the Jacks and the bankers!

  • @Alpito123 I agree with you. Jesse was cruel, violent and a murderer, he deserved to die. But Bob remains a coward. I approve what he did but I don't like him very much either.

Anyway this movie is one of my favourite. Great actors and wonderful soundtrack =)

  • I feel bad for bob at the end

  • poor Bob :'(

  • What an actor Casey Affleck is...He is fantastic!

  • Look at my red hands and my mean face... and I wonder bout that man thats gone so wrong. ... so touching

  • magic movie...

  • If Shakespeare did a Western, this would be it.

  • @MegaPoone perfectly said

  • @MegaPoone Well-said!!!

  • Well-said!!!

  • the title gives away the ending :3

  • @ChristianIBM History, and general knowledge gives away the ending.

  • This should have been called: The assisted suicide of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

    Spoiler Alert:

He was a very smart man he knew when he give him the gun he knew when he took of his guns and he knew when he watched him in the refection of the picture that he was going to kill him.

This is the best movie i have ever seen and i have watched more movies than youtube videos. I think i have watched this movie 3 times and going to watch it again after i say this.

  • love it

    love the movie

  • love it

  • This movie is an absolute masterpiece. The settings are all absolutely beautiful, while so many of the shots are breathtaking. The acting is exceptional, the story simple yet so complex, and the way it is told could not be bettered. Perfect film.

  • most underrated movie i have ever seen. in about 20 years this will be a classic.

  • i gotta live up to my name.......

  • @bender1011001

Word! This movie is on my favourite top 10 list.

Can you recomend me some movies you like?

  • @fotbollsfanatiker Other movies that are similar in mood are The New World, The Road, The Fountain, Days of Heaven (1978), The Proposition and There Will be Blood.

  • Saw this movie for the first time last night and I was blown away.

The night before I saw True Grit and that one doesn't even come close to this masterpiece.

  • Fuckin beats young guns or any other cow boy film any day

  • Slow movie, but absolutely amazing Cinematography

  • True poetry. No movie sends more chills down my spine than this work of art. Easily my favorite film of all time.

  • @LaCosaNostra132 they do it is called young guns with emilio estevez

  • Jesse James is important to me and white american history, the Fords can all burn in hell enough said.

  • good acting boring movie I would only watch it once

  • I don't think people should say Robert ford was a bad man because he killed Jesse James he said himself that James was going to kill him he was defending himself

  • Is this like a male cowboy version of All About Eve? But with outlaws.

  • @ianhemerlein1 Shit yeah, couldn't of said it any better!

  • Comment removed

  • you don't undeerstand, i might get help here andd there, but im a hothead even under pressure, and im liable to degrade myselfmy hat's off to my brother though, i mean seriosly the genuis of it all is astounding, ive been under an iron wing ever since i could remember

  • Brilliant! In my opinion this is the best movie ever made. the whole atmosphere, the Acting, the actors, the setting, the music, the intensity, the peacefulness. a true masterpiece.

  • EPIC! Now they need a Billy the Kid film

  • @LaCosaNostra132 See Young Guns 1 and 2, Starring Emilio Estevez

  • @LaCosaNostra132 Actually, re-visit Young Guns and Young Guns II. Might have seen the first, but many dismissed the 2nd one, but it's really just as good, and a fine bookend to Young Guns. Necessary, as they say. Not quite the same depth, but if watched in earnest, a really fine set of films that I love dearly. Chavez's death is heartbreaking. Two classics.

  • @romeradio= In real life, Chavez lived to be an old man. Dying in the 1924. Ironically, he was a policaman for a short while.

  • Young Guns and Young Guns II are excellent, in my opinion, dig right at the heart of the story, and may not have the same depth as this, but are two excellent movies.

  • Something creepy my full name is Jesse James (censored) (censored) I'm the oldest of 4 boys an I'm the same height.

  • Great acting and great promise. But "The Assassination of Three Hours of My Life" would have been a more appropriate title.

  • casey should have won the academy award...

  • @DizzyPuke I agree, but it would have been just as unfair if Javier Bardem didn't :/

They were both fantastic, shame it was in the same year :'(

  • Jesse James=my great great great great uncle

  • @aPxCLAN

EVERYONE, i mean everyone fucking says that shit, he was this he was that, bullshit how many fucking women did he fuck ?

  • From the script, cast, music, setting ..... it was much more then I had expected. The pace of the film blended with the intense emotion of the characters kept me intrigued throughout.

    Very underrated Movie.

  • Omg, i love the music in this movie!!!

  • Best movie I've seen in my 21 years of life. I could watch this again, again and again.

  • I THINK ROBERT FORD WAS GAY MAN.

  • There are several million men sitting in our prisons, murders, thieves, rapists, all equal or better than Jesse James. If Jesse James is your kind of people, then we need to empty the prisons and let them settle in a neighborhood near you. Have a good life!

  • @banner1835

agreed, jesse was bad, shot unarmed men, and robert ford was 20 years of age for fuck sakes

  • @guitar19904 If it hadn't been Robert Ford, it would have been someone else, he was destine to die young and by the gun! In the movie he knew he was to be killed and chose to die on his terms.

  • i watch this movie because of Brad Pitt.

  • the most underrated film of the past decade!

  • One,if not, the best movies ive ever seen! I really love this film, good actors, good music, good atmosphere. Brad does an excellent work as Jesse. One of the best movies ever made, it is a really touching movie and the story is so fascinating. Jesse James is,and will forever be one of the greatest legends during the Wild West.

  • @Downfall1891 He is a legend alright, he was also a robbing , murdering, crazed son ofa bitch. Did I mention he was into incest ? Thank God there aren't many of him around!

  • @banner1835 into incest? where did you read that?

  • @FSUNole05 In the United States it is against the law to marry first cousin. But if he had a sister he might have really married ,blood close. That is back wood hill people, don't want to ride 20 miles every time they get the urge. The wife of Jesse James was his cousin.

  • @Downfall1891 I guess you all haven't seen? There is a documentary about the clear evidence that Jesse James lived till 1943 ish. This series about these facts is quiet amazing and has mad me to see this old folk legend as to be off at the end. Go look it up , this not rare, its on DIsh all the time.

  • @Transnewton22 Ive seen alot of documentarys about this man, and i know theres alot of evidence proving that Jesse did fake his death and actually lived till 1943. I prefer you look up this documentary which is called "Jesse James hidden treasure" .

  • @Downfall1891 Specially the naration that plays through

  • The BEST MOVIE !!!

  • An amazing film. Awe inspiring. Closest to fact you will find. A fine soundtrack and an amazing cast. Nick cave was an amazing songwrite. Just amazing

  • one of the best films you will ever see!!!

  • One of the best soundtracks I have ever listened to.

  • I feel full respect for Brad Pitt whan I saw this masterpiece.

In my mind,he became a real actor in my eyes, not a female only phenomen.

I wish you a very long artistic life Mr.Pitt

    My newly respect.

  • Nostalgia

  • I don't care who was a coward. James was a robber and a murderer, and the world was better off without him.

  • "He's just a human being" ... but legends are harder to kill.

  • I really get the feeling of how it must have been to live in the wild west by this film. Its so real. Great story, great acting and great music. A master piece indeed.

  • One of the best movies ever made! Superb performances by Affleck and Pitt! Simply perfect

  • One of the greatest movies ever made ....I love this movie....it almost perfect ....in my opinion

  • Look at my red hands and my mean face... and I wonder 'bout that man that's gone so wrong.

    ....

  • Wow, want to watch this. Masterpiece not that much heard about down here sadly.

  • @TheFunkhouser Your masterpiece would probably be Lord Of The Rings. These boys like westerns, gunslingers.I live in America and never seen a masterpiece in my life. This one is good, more about the man than the gun.It seems to be black and white, but its not? Beautiful movie!

  • Comment removed

  • I've been listening to the soundtrack for hours now. I can honestly say that "Song for Jesse" fits perfectly with Jesse, he's very mysterious and it gives you a feeling that he's going to leave you behind... This is one majestic soundtrack... Love it.

  • @JimmyJames1028 huh? :S

  • Even if you know whats gonna happen, its still a suprising movie, best movie i have ever seen.period.

  • The closest thing to perfection this movie is.

Dick Lidell is an incredible character in this.

  • @JimmyJames1028 What?
