  • part 5 just 'simply' goes.... -_-

  • What amp are you using? Thanks

  • @stul9045 It's a Fender Blues Junior

  • tuning?

  • @chabon88 The guitar is tuned down one half-step to e flat. The song is in a-flat

  • Thanks for posting these.

  • Don't listen to these people with the bad comments. I'm just learning to play the guitar I like the time you take to break things down. I have no soul either but it's fun to learn from your videos. I learned this video in 2 days and am getting better everytime I play.

  • I looked at the backing track on your website and it seems a little faster and different maybe tell me where to start the first note, then I can play the rest...

  • @jacoktm yeah of course eh made some typing mistakes sorry i'm 10 and thats the problem... I tried tuning it but it still sounded wrong now i can play all his levels in ease...

  • Just wanted to say thanks so much for putting this vid together. Was great to hear the passage played front to back and then get to go over it in detail afterwards. A real help to folks who are trying to find their way towards playing some handy blues guitar. Thanks again!

  • @baruchlevine1 In addition to lacking soul, I also lack the ability to comprehend your non-sensical, unpunctuated, all-caps rambling that looks like it was written by a 6 year old. I apologize if you are 6, but if not, you should be ashamed of yourself :-)

  • @gr8bluesgtr , hahahaha, don't sweat the internet trolls. Just a bunch of sad and lonley people.

  • @baruchlevine1 Hey dummy- this is his intermediate not advanced lesson. Tony spends a lot of time and effort helping folks learn to play guitar. You could help people too by sticking a sock in it.

  • @baruchlevine1 s/thing is wrong with your channel, it has no soul...nothing on it!

  • @baruchlevine1 Your are wrong , this man has a soul , GIGNERS DONT HAVE SOULS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @baruchlevine1 your an idiot! PERIOD!

  • @baruchlevine1 Are you fuckin' dumb? OMG you're such a lameass. Watch his other videos and you'll see some damn soul. WTF he doesn't play blues like a paper. And BTW you can't even fuckin' write. Hate people like you, you slow fuckin' dumbass. It looks like you took a line of cocaine when you wrote that. Go fuckin' jerk off or something instead and don't come here and say that he can't play the blues.

  • I'm a fan. Thnx a lot. Peace.

  • Can you tell me what pedals do you use for SRV style ??? Thanks.

  • i am 19 and am sure i played all the notes correctly on beginner. Maybe my tuning is wrong? I have perfect pitch so i matched the tones with my piano and somehow i can't seem to sound like you. Maybe you know what the problem is? noah

  • @noahmariogreene did you read that he's tuned 1/2 step down? ;-)

  • :O very nice lesson ,

i like how theres different ones for each level

    i like it ,

    very good .

  • I notice how you use your middle finger to bend the G string. Haven't seen that before, but i also use my ring finger on the B string for bending and stuff. Can't seem to get that kind of lick going where you bend and you bar B and E strings with your index finger. Something always gets in the way :( any tips?

  • Hey, great lesson you are one of my favorites. Lots of you guys talk about tuning down a half step like this lesson and most of SRV'S songs but no one tells us how exactly to do that. I went to my local guitar store today and they tought me to tune it down to 430 on my tuner. Very simple but I could not find that information on any sites, just a thought. Keep up the great work!!

  • where can i find the jam track?

  • I've got a free backing tracks page on StevieSnacks (dot) com under "Downloads". All my backing tracks can be downloaded for free there.

  • thanks

  • great vid but i have questions: how long did it take you to come up with these licks? is it possible to improvise that on the spot or did you like slowly put it together and practice it?

  • I started with the advanced lesson, which was improvised, and then for this lesson and the beginner lesson, I reduced the complexity of the advanced solo.

  • You are awesome! I just learned this one, and I always learn something from your videos.

    keep posting! :D

  • Where can I get a page of all the blues boxes for free?

  • First I just need to say that this is a very good video! really helpful, thanks!

Then i gotta ask, where can I get the backing track?

  • Just look this lesson up over at StevieSnacks (dot) com in the Lesson Index and I've got a link to the backing track on the lesson page.

    Anthony

  • really good!!! i can now play it very fast!

  • Good to hear.

  • Cool stuff man. THANK you very much

  • great lesson thank you

    you're the best!
