Inaccuracy is its least problem. Bad acting, effects and a terrible storyline. The cast could've been wellpicked though. Although they totally messed it up by making them into a kind of rastafarmers .... This is a Smilodon: v=sap-lHLrMC0. That *thing* in the movie is a pixel tiger with misplaced teeth and a chopped tail. Smilodons weren't even Pantheras, looked more like hyenas than like modern cats from some angles.
Just search for the video "Primeval kill - BBC". That's a smilodon. They weren't even that big, smaller than a lion. The thing in the movie would be a Panthera atrox, if you took the fake teeth out.

@whisperingwind2 Interesting, but, LOTR and Batman both are pieces of written literature and thus people would already know what's coming... regarding Pirates of the Caribbean well mate, there were and are debates about historicity and archeological accuracy and untold shades of history, mostly due to lack of time or being irrelevant for their plot... sarcasm is not your best but yes, if people watch these movies and complain for not finding a Nat-Geo doc-film they do have issues...

For a fantasy movie, it is quite good.
And if you have any knowledge on history, zoology or whatever, it can be quite fun to spot the many inaccuracys. Like, they crossed europe/asia all the way to africa by foot, in few days LoL

I enjoy a lot the lord of the rings !! but is a fantasy film of the past. The star wars is like a fantasy film of the future ! in my opinion.
But i love this two.
I went to see this movie because I thought I would enjoy and that would be a good move. That has not happened at all, not like the movie, but I spent a good evening.
The best of the film is Camilla Belle, well worth the ticket money.

It has great actors and great scenes.
The story is not bad nor perfect but hey its better then any other movie thats coming out lately.
Alot of emotion in this movie, I give it 5/5.
Enjoyed watching it and will not regret it.
Its better then all the other action garbage from 2009.

How can a movie about black people in Africa feature so few black people in a country which is next to SUDAN.. do you know how black black black they look in Sudan, and that these people were the ancient Egyptians not the Arab mix we see today.
So fucking laughable, since when were Caucasians a part of ancient Africa with blue eyes and readlocks (attractive though it may be).

Sure, black people in sudan are Onyx black, but what makes you so sure they had that color tone 12000 years ago with all the migrations going around? This is not a movie about black people in africa. This is a Smilodon: v=sap-lHLrMC0. That *thing* in the movie is a pixel tiger with misplaced teeth and a chopped tail. Smilodons weren't even Pantheras, looked more like hyenas than like modern cats from some angles.
