I got a question for you! How is it that in the year 2145 (or something close to that) we have crappier flying vehicles than we do today? That bomber was so incredibly slow it was just stupid.

Then at the end they can go threw it like its paper. And Jake is able to shoot a couple of the pilots out. When our helicopters today have armoured cockpits that can withstand up to 50 cal.

And secondly; the technology used on Pandora bar a few bits and pieces is first generation technology because the Pandoran gravitational field disables a lot of the 4 generation technology that is used back on Earth.

Well it sure as hell didn't go 35 thousand knots in the movie. And that still doesn't explain why they didn't have a single fixed winged aircraft. It would have taken one fighter with a 2000 lb bomb to destroy that tree. Easy by today's standards and this is supposed to be 135 years in the future.

The Valkyrie (space ship) does not go 35000knots during the end scene because it would be a little hard to drop explosives out of the loading bay at that speed and it also doesn't go that fast in the beginning of the film because of the huge gravitational field. The ship can go 35000knots once it leaves that field.

That story is used a lot. Because it is a good CLASSIC story.
