@musicfan5ft8 I don't buy your argument.... "I" is a subject, while "me" is an object. would you ever say "And it could be I?" if not, then how can you say "And it could be Zooey and I?" The correct way to state yourself when you are the object of a sentence is.... "And it could be me".. or "And it could be Zooey and me." At any rate, it's pretty normal to mix these up in speech so I'm not really sure why anyone would mention it in the first place...

About the 'me' or 'I' debate. It could actually be either. Case is used in languages to mark subject or object and English has been loosing its case structures for a while. For instance, many people do not know the difference between 'who' and 'whom'. The sentence here is "It could be Zooey and me". As suggested, drop out 'Zooey and' to make it clearer. The correct sentence is "It could be I", because it is short for "It is I who could be in the movie".

If you are unsure, the rule is to write whatever would be grammatically correct in the absence of the other person, basically. I have a teaching credential in English, lol.
