I mean theres on crash cymbal sound that comes that doesn't seem that the drummer hit it. And then theres one he hits but there's no sound.. but i think the vid is still in sync :\... ummm dude o.O ??
i hate when people compare hendrix to SRV...I think they were different guitarists and definitely had different musicial styles. What if we said it like this: SRV can make that guitar play by itself without even trying - leaving us mortals in awe - Jimi was from another planet ... the planet of GUITAR.
@TimX416 its a pretty accurate comparison, whether you like it or not. stevie probably has the closest level of skill, innovation, style and just pure soul to hendrix.
No doubt Brian Setzer is an awesome rockabilly musician. But Stevie didn't live long enough to have all the experience that Brian has had. To consider how great Stevie was at his age is undeniably impressive.

Yes you are right. Stevie was a great player, however, I do not like him at all. He was a good hodge-podge of Winter, Hendrix and many others, no more - no less. He was aggressive played loud with heavy strings and a wild attak. Maybe that made him attractive for the younger fans. I am 49 and have seen and heard much more unique players than him, who really had THEIR own style.
I will be the first top thank you for workin with our boy from the big six..you guys rock..love you both for keepin music alive...tommy and chris get in touch with ME
Do you mean Lil Wayne the rap artist? Can you possibly imagine that any rap artist will still be played 25 years later? Stevie will still be on air 25 years from now. Nobody will remember Lil Wayne.
they still play rap from 25 years ago now...u dnt like rap so 25yrs from now u wnt listen to it but there are ppl who still will. music comes in all forms dont hate on rap,
@outsidejim biggie smalls thats about it. but thats old rap and its on a different level itself than contemporary rap. so yeah i guess i cant imagine.
Mr Stevie Ray Vaughan was by far the greatest person to play the guitar. He made it sing all others can only be second best.

@RockNostalgic technically, theres not even a question that he is more skilled, but songwriting and composition is hendrix all the way.

One nice rockabilly lick. Really cool attitude. Guitar playing like an Axe. Whats so good with this guy in this performance.
Brian Setzer played stuff like that cleaner, bbetter with tons of different licks etc.

Lil Wayne could also probably play improvisations in between the licks he plays even at this tempo. GO ahead, ask him.

Awesome, simply awesome. SRV's version of Little Wing blows away Hendrix's version, in my opinion. It's a crying shame we lost Stevie...
