Only problem with this is he was there during the wet season. Many more people visit that area during the dry season, when there isn't any rain for months.If he had've tried it in the dry season he would have been screwed. I reckon he should try about 200km east of tennant creek, Short trees and a bit of grass for as far as the eye can see. He would have no chance there.
