the atletic director is a scumbag hopefully he will never be one again june jones just wanted to rebuild his alma matter but cheap ass hawaii could not give him any kind of support they deserve what they geat. on the other hand smu has the money at his command well see what happens. The real victims are the player who could dou nothing. The hawaii fans should have donated the money but they did not what is their no boosters in the state of hawaii.

god damn people, this is insane, June Jones is scum just like nearly every other college coach in america, he walked out on his alumni to take a crapshoot job at SMU just so he could make about 400k more than what he was currently making, he is a greedy bastard for doing this and probably didnt even try to win the Sugar Bowl because he knew that he wouldnt be staying for next season. I hope SMU goes winless for a few seasons, then his ass gets fired.

I think many criticizing CJJ departure are missing the point when they allude 'he really was not committed' - HOGWASH! The man has been working tirelessly to upgrade the facilities @UH but getting no traction b/c of Frazier & like mindsets. The facilities are atrocious & the players & prospects & fans deserve far, far better. Stop being cheap-skates & realize that quality athletes want more than beaches if they are to commit to the Warriors. Firing Frazier is a good start.

i mean come on, despite the strength of schedule and "so-so" WAC conference we are in, a 12-0 team/program deserves 10x better than what they have now. we've all heard JJ say it, the same carpet when wagner was coaching. brennan brought up not having soap in the showers. and current players bring prospects and players looking at playing for hawaii to waikiki and the tourist spots instead of the dorms and athletic department. JJ and the entire state of hawaii deserve "perfection" treatment.

but then again, none of us is June Jones and we don't know what kind of crap he really has to deal with day in and day out at UH and the AD, so bottom line is, if he leaves then.....mahalo to him and we will always love him, BUT let's bravely move on!!!

if he leaves now, for another college b/c he can make 1.7 to 2 mil instead of 1.2, b/c he has 'differences' with the AD, b/c the facilities need improvement, b/c not enough money is spent on athletics, etc... then JJ's love for Hawaii isn't that great period! either that or his idea of "tough" sure ain't the same as mine then.

don't get me wrong, i think Frazier is an idiot! but i'm a lifelong UH fan and i respect JJ. but think about this, JJ said he came to Hawaii b/c he loves Hawaii and wanted to do something great for UH football. he came here b/c of love basically right? if you trully trully love someone, something, wouldn't you put up with other things just as long as you are able to do the most important things???

Certainly has gone downhill in the past three weeks or so, first they gave a halfhearted effort and played like they didnt even want to be in the sugar bowl, then the coach bolts for SMU (Loyalty ftw), with so many quality players leaving for the NFL, Hawaii fans can expect another long period of futility.
