I tried this amp out a little at a nearbye guitar store and wasn't really impressed, but I think this sounds awesome! Can someone out there give me some good vetta 2 metal settings?
Hey Ola! I'm impressed by the tone you get from this amp! Do you think it would sit well in a band situation? I'm looking for something to replace my Framus Cobra, which I'm a bit tired of! Also, it is possible to find your patch somewhere?
i own a Mesa Roadster (voodoo platinum mod), Framus Cobra, Hughes & Kettner TriAmp, Engl Blackmore, Peavey XXX, Bugera 6262, JCM900DualReverb, JCM800kerryking, Marshall Jubilee, JCM900SL-X, Roland JC-120, and have been using Randall MTS gear with other rack stuff, and man......after this clip i bought a Vetta, fuck! WOW!!!! i have retired ALLLLLL of my gear, these just sound insane in real, especially with 2 cabs and different amps each side.
Hey Ola! Thanks for the video ... what do you think of the Vetta II as an overall Live-Amp? I like the idea of only having to bring one amp and floorboard with me and having all the necessary effects "on board".
And by the way: How good does the integrated Noise Gate work? I bet, the Vetta is a pretty silent amp, isn't it?
Dude......what is your verdict on digital amps vs tube amps? Meshuggah goes digital I know and it's all about the sound. I don't get the digital sound to cut through like a tube amp. Any thoughts are appreciated.
Hey Ola, that is one bad ass riff you start playing at 1:28 in this video, could you please tell me is it one of your songs? or is it just noodleing? And what exatly is the tuning on that sweet ax of yours? Thanx man......John from wisconsin
No offense, but all your videos sound very much alike. I know you like to dial in these amps to your sound, but when ur playing a downtuned 7 string and record it the way you do, every amp sounds the same. Just sayin
@metlguitar02 The videos do sound very much alike. But they're definitely not the same. That's the point, really, to show how all those amps - despite making roughly the same type of sound - differ in character; to hear all the little nuances that make each amp sound a little bit different that the other. And to compare them, you have to hear the same type of guitar playing, so the amps have a level playing field. Which is not so exciting, if you're not into these specific kinds of guitar tones.
Many of these amps don't sound anything alike. The way these songs are mixed and recorded make them sound nearly identical, with as you said minor nuances, but play thru some of these amps and ull see they sound nothing alike.
man when you play live, how do you change between clean and distortion? i mean if you are using a boost, a reverb, a chorus, a delay how do you turn them all on and off simultaneously? or do you have to take tap dance classes?
Yes, you can tell that it is not tube. Having said that, that doesn't mean that it is a bad sound at all. I personally thought the gain was a little too high, but to each his own.
Honestly though, I'd love to hear an Electric Wizard style song recorded with this amp.
if it was good enough for meshuggah and trent reznor then it's good enough for anyone. haha. NJ band Binary Code currently uses Vetta II. gotta dial it in for your specific guitar and shit but i've heard AMAZING sounds come from this head. not sure Ola's tone here shows the best of the amp but he has some killer tone coming from it.
hahaha youtube nerds talking shit because it ain't "toobs"... it sounds killer and I'll take Meshugga's and Trent Reznor's(and many others) opinion over these kids.
actually that is the best sound I have heard from the Vetta 2 so far. I will never go back to modeling or standard amps after having the Randall RM 100. sounds great and so easy to mod. I just use a Line 6 XT Live for midi and works great.
@DiscoD777 haha ik, thats why i said decent sounding. It's harsh and doesn't have warmth, sounds very sterile. I had a Line 6 HD100 spider valve TUBE amp, and this blows it away, but my point was for a line 6 solid state amp, it has a good tone. considering. i should have just said for a solid state amp
There is so much stuff in these amps. My friend has one & I started messing around with it. Next thing I new 3 hours had passed. But they are great amps for any music. Dino Cazarez uses these heads so that Fear Factory & Devine Heresy.......
looks and sounds like a warm up vid? or line 6 doesn't inspire you like it doesn't with me! lol Mesa for life!!!!! maybe you could show us how all the Mesa amps compare with one big shoot out of epic Ola style symphony of musicness?
Exactly correct. People get all wierd about modeling amps. Really, at the end of the day, who cares if it's modeled or tube or solid state...as long as it sounds good. That's what music is...sound. If a tool gives us more options for creating sounds, that's cool in my book.
@cmonsterz Man I swear half the people that obsess over gear don't actually DO anything with it. It's like stop talking about it already, and make some f***ing music. Who cares what you use? I've got an album and an EP I'm very happy with to my name, both recorded using an X3. The next album will be HD. And I'm out touring and having a good time with my Vetta. It's not stopping me from making music!!
@thechimpspanner Wait... Chimp Spanner? That's awesome you finally have a youtube channel. I've been listening to Clarity in Chaos regularly lately, and have really been getting into your other songs too.
@buymeamic I'm not saying it beats the real deal man...Im just saying that people should actually listen instead of seeing "line 6" and saying "BAD" This is obviously not bad tone for digital...
