Jerry was simply the best. The guy could go from singing with Tom Jones to cutting up & pickin' with Glen Campbell. Played on albums of everybody from Elvis to Waylon to Ringo Starr. And added some ofthe best guitar work by dueting with Chet. Heaven has another bright star...we miss you Reed!

Jerry Reed is great, but that lead guitarist sucks ass! Some of the worst lead guitar playing I've ever heard.

Jerry Reed was one of my favorites, his music is what helped make Smokey & The Bandit a fun movie because Reed sure had fun writing the soundtrack!

When Alexis Korner released the first UK blues album, "R&B at the Marquee", in 1962 Big Jim Sullivan played lead guitar.
For contractual reasons he is credited with "vocal chorus".
