I don't see why he needs blue lights & sirens, am guessing everyone is on scene already including the watch commander and there teams of highly trained men so I don't see what the emergency still is, the situation is under control... if these people can have blue lights & sirens why can't Community First Responders who are going to people not breathing or having a heart attack.. aslong as there having the correct training and bluelights I don't see the problem.
couldnt agree more, wouldnt we all like an audi tt with blues and twos..(hell yeah). i notice someone said Maestro in the comments..How a station officers life has changed, but then the maestro was the "bees knees" then,,geesh i can remember the station officer at my local station ,when i was a kid, drove a morris marina with a blue light,. imagine the laughs you would get now hammering ,er chugging down the road in a marina with a blue light on,,lol..those were the days.(sad old git moment)
@urbex2007 Any unmarked fire vehicles are usually the property of the officer, the point of the fire cars are to get senior officers to the scene of larger emergencies, so that they can give orders.

@briantwigley Exactly, taxpayers should NOT be paying for this type of vehicle or the fuel it uses. I would suggest an investigation in to this practice of using such cars when other fire service vehicles are available. One thing noticable is that the car does not contain much, if any, rescue equipment. What use would that be attending a house fire. Does it hold water? Does it have BA equipment? Does it have a ladder?
This is a severe misuse of funds and firemen wonder why jobs are going!!!
@urbex2007 Yup. Officers cars don't need to hold equipment, only fire gear. Go back to the days where ADOs got a Maestro and DOs got a black car of some description.
@FalloutZombie2010 because in a TT isn't much place for any material (not even for documentation and so on, And if you want Audi, why not an A4 or A6 Avant?
A BMW X1 and a Porsche Cayenne are 2 totally different cars, the X1 is a soft roader with 2-3litre engines, slow car, the Cayenne is a 3-4.5litre V8 fuel thirsty ugly piece of shit!
Personally, the TT is a good choice, theyre actually quite spacious and im sure hes got room for his stuff, hence why he drives it.....!
wow, thats something you dont see everyday, i bet the police in the area are jealous, driving around in thier focus, or astra or what you have up there!

Those chief men are rolling it. But this is just such a waste of taxpaying money, whats wrong with a vauxhall astra to drop them to a scene. next thing youll know it will be a roller phantom with a chauffer!
I think you will find its his own car, like you going to work in your own car a nipping across town in it to pick up tools etc. only this jammy sod gets blues & two's added
@slaphead12345 you'll find an applicance costs three times an audi TT and the fact that the Audi TT was not bought with taxpayers money either, its his own, with his own lightbar + siren added
this is just another siren tone like the yelp and wail its fitted into the unitas the fourth tone so why shouldnt it be used,,ive used them before,, they are great
lol loved it, is this a car that the seniour officers take home and can get called in for larger incidents, near me i have seen black bmw and golf gti etc with blues fitted for fire officers

The horn tone is a power air horn made by Whelen. Im getting one on my Mondeo ST soon for responding... cant wait lol.

It's certainly not an air horn, unless you meant simluated air horn found on the electronic siren. Why shouldn't cars have them?

Ok 2 things wrong, 1, cars should not really have air horns and certently not ones as loud as that, 2, they should be red not black, anyways 5*
PlaneTrainAmbulance 2 years ago
1. It's not an airhorn and if you think that is loud then try hearing a real airhorn!
2. Why should they be red and not black? Remember this is an officers car, AFAIK they take it home so it should be their choice of colour.
