I have this ride; I don't like it. I can't really explain why. It's like playing a guitar that has way too much reverb. However, it sounds decent with nylon tip sticks.
i also have this ride cymbal and is quite old, it has about 8 years now, and it still sounds great. But the sustain lasts long time, however i learned that the clean ride sound it will be developed if you hit the ride near the bell. And the bell sound by the way is great, a bit loud, which is what most of the drummers want, for jazz, bosanova and what not.
I like mine too. Well... it has the overtone due to the big bell, but it will surprise you when you play this cymbal in a band situation. Glassy!

This ride is AWESOME for its price. Much much better than pst's, and very closely to Alpha Full Ride, if not better.

I also recomend to use wooden tip, the nylon tip wil make marks on the cymbal, also the wood tip drumsticks perform a more clean sound.

I have the same ride 802, I started to hate that sustain and that giant bell when I discovered the jazz drumming world :(

i have an 18" 802 ride and i think the sustain is a bit too long... great cymbal though :P
