Whoever plays the evil fairy here is quite nasty; she really seems to enjoy chomping on the scenery--she's quite a cackler. I do wish that this film had a showdown between her and the prince. It's odd that she never gets her comeuppance in this version.
isnt this the movie of the original fairy tale "the sleeping beauty" where the princess is actually raped by the prince and she only awakes when she heards the cry of her baby twins? -wonders-

@Vestha01 that'd be interesting, though the kids could never see that version. I finally did read the original, well not the whole story, basically the summary, but that was interesting to find out...makes you wonder what other fairy tales they fudged with...

if i was in that situation and the lady said "you haven't wrapped the yarn around the spindle child" id be like um? hell no! you do it and YOU fall asleep!
i agree. would love to have the whole movie up. i've been looking for this version forever! i remember watching it when i was little. all i could really remember about it was something about the gold plates!

I love Cannon Movie Tales, and Sleeping Beauty's my favourite!
Tahnee Welch as Princess Rosebud is lovely!!!
In Italy the entire Cannon Movie Tales series (except for the Frog Prince) will be release in June 2009!
