  • great info, cudos to you but I have to agree with the rest of the people and say, quit all the hand movment, it takes away from your presentation.

  • i dont know man

  • wat is she doing with her hands. she did well in giving awesome info, but why is acting like someone is behind her controlling her hands?

  • she got a 159 on the LSAT! The average at Yale is 173 thats why she didnt get a job plain and simple

  • i agree the hands are distracting. seems like you are a mime. draws attention away from what you are saying and instead attention towards the air figures that you seem to be drawing.

  • Please take a public speaking course. Your "busy hands" and body language are terribly distracting. If you don't feel comfortable with your hands at your sides or behind your back, then get yourself a microphone. You should only gesture when necessary, not 24/7.

  • P.S. - I'm not trying to be mean, here. I think your oral presentation is great, and you exhibit confidence on camera. But "talking with your hands" is something teenage girls from Brooklyn do, not established commentators. Just think about your favorite news reporters on TV look on-camera. Gestures are only meant to ILLUSTRATE things, such as size or magnitude of what you're speaking about...they are not meant to move around for no apparent reason.

  • you shouldn't combine your aerobics and reporting

  • did someone tell you that you should use your hands while speaking? sweet jesus!

  • Why? Is it distracting? Please give me constructive feedback; please don't be mean. I'm not sure I can take much more of this :-)

  • yes, it's incredibly distracting, it looks like you're trying to use ASL

  • Thank you. I don't know ASL ... but when I am at public events I find myself fascinated by the man/woman who is signing on the side of the stage. It appears to be a real talent/art. Kate

  • I agree, it's distracting. Maybe you can try gradually reducing your hand movement especially when they're not illustrating anything.

  • whew. well at least you're kind about your comments. people have been so mean ;-( ...

I have tried many things -- now I am using a clipboard ... which seems to help me to keep my hands still. Perhaps it's the downside of being Italian! :-)

  • your information is incorrect

  • Heidi Iravani and Brittan Heller are whiners.

  • I've no idea how much it costs. But I definitely can't find him on google anywhere. I think he was a bit dodgy - he had to emigrate to Switzerland when the Inland Revenue came looking for him as he owed about £90 million in back taxes. I had to help him clear out his penthouse apartment in the space of about 2days... they still managed to get some of his things though, including his Ferrari Enzo, which he was very p*ssed off about!

  • This is amazing! I wonder how they do it? I have definitely heard these same rumors about Googlers getting paid to rejigger rankings ... and at times I've noticed I can't find really wealthy people on Google ... who do you think they pay???

  • Actually I know this guy who is super-super wealthy - a dozen sports cars, properties all over the globe, private plane etc. He told me that if you can afford it you can pay google to get your name removed from their search engines facility so no hits will be returned when someone types in your name. Does anyone know if this is true? Am I just being gullible?

  • Luckily I have a very common name. If you google me you get loads of hits but you have to search very hard before you actually find me.

  • oh so what?

    who wants a job anyway!?!

If a girl wants something bad enough, she can always go back to the oldest job in the book: Wang Slurping.

  • Yes this is terrible. I myself was a victim of this. But I hope that in trying to resolve this, we don't give Big Brother the wrong kind of censorship power which they are so eagerly seeking to get!

  • RBLAS818 ... what happened? Would you be willing to share the story if you could retain your anonymity? I am hearing so many stories after running this piece that I am going to run a follow up ... you can always send a message to my inbox, too ... Thanks, Kate

  • Ever since the internet began, it becomes more dangerous in every aspect, more so than people can imagine.. For adults and children. We all have a very serious problem ahead of us with the internet allows this type of exposure to the world.

  • Everyone Googles everyone's name before the first date! The Herpes thing (see Russell4ME67's comment) would have scared me a little though :-)

  • This world has gotten way too competitive! Watching this video makes me want to move to Tibet!

  • i google EVERYONE LOL....

  • I google first dates!

  • I truly find this disgusting - I don't want to ever google myself again!

  • I am afraid the internet might be causing more problems than the world would have ever expected!

  • I watched a news program about an African-American lawyer who read on Google that he had herpes. It was the second entry, I think. The guy was beyond surprised -- not only did he not have herpes, he had no idea who had posted it. Scary!

  • This is so scary! To think that you could be the top of your class at Yale Law School -- and then not get a job because some jealous wench writes smut about you on the Internet! Interesting story, Kate!

  • Google closes here accounts/removes videos that tolds Bush regimes crimes. Like in China. Loose Change 2ed guys happened too. GOOGLE: Killtown and their blog... use key words: GOOLE KILLTOWN YOUTUBE
