In the same way that the Bloods and Crips were never meant to be the way they are, they started out as the Black Panthers, which wanted to protect black people. Bad can come out of good intentions, just my way of helping to further illustrtate your point for those that might disagree :). PS: I don't think all feminists are this way, I just think the word itself has been kinda sullied by, well, feminists, lol.

@hoboboxerjoe I have to disagree.Something I realised about feminism;only recently,this last decade,has feminism been selling itself as LESS anti-male,after decades of spreading hostile,even violent language.Although feminists have compared feminism to the Black civil rights movement,there was NEVER a feminist equivalent of a Martin Luther King.Feminists began with resentment that became hatred and intolerance,and called a "truce" only AFTER the continuing war on males FINALLY alienated women.

@hoboboxerjoe And your history is completely WRONG.The black panther was originally the symbol of a Black voting rights group in Alabama,The Lowndes County Freedom Organisation.It was adopted by a group of angry,militant young Blacks who didn't trust the police or government on any level,who became the Black Panther Party.They used the racism and violence Blacks had to live with to justify their own violence.The Crips were a GANG formed by Stanley Wlliams in 1969,the Bloods were a rival GANG.

@disagreeablesob The vast majority of it. There are multiple feminisms and most of them have very little in their theory that could be described as 'man hating'. Only Radical Feminism which was in the ascendancy in the 1980s has a fringe element that could be described so.
So basically you are referring to a fringe of a fraction of feminist theory that has been in the decline for over two decades.

@disagreeablesob I have met and conversed with many feminists and only an insignificant minority have ever espoused anything like the 'all men are pigs' attitude. In fact the vast majority see men as also being victims of patriarchy and constrained and arbitrary gender classifications.
