This dance truly highlighted the potential that Melanie and Marko had at the very beginning of the competition; as a power couple, as well as individuals. They were not only lucky in having Travis Wall as their FIRST choreographer to work with, but it just happened to be a fateful combination of amazing dancers, magnificiant choreographer, and the time and place of events.

It's amazing where fate can take people, as well as how far they can soar to reach unbelievable heights.

@super0star0material Obviously nothing is random. Look at all the seasons where the shortest two dancers are paired up in the beginning and the tallest two dancers are paired up. At least at first, the pairings aren't random. Maybe when they start drawing, but not that early in the competition.

I knew Melanie would be my favorite dancer this season when she auditioned. I knew she would be this seasons winner though the moment Marko put his head on her chest and she tilted her head down and looked at him with that look that just said, "hello there" like she'd really been a statue just waiting for the moment when someone would come by to wake her up. I love how they sell this piece, especially Melanie. @1:44 in, when he picks her up and pivots her around. Stiff as a board. Melanie doesn't just dance. Its every single little detail that completely sucks you and and makes you feel like its not dance. Like you aren't watching through a TV, or aren't on stage yourself. Melanie and Marko are just the perfect couple. Kind of makes you wonder how things would have turned out if she got partnered with Jess. Would she still be that good?
