It's just cold. Once wrapped in the towel like a purrito and snuggled until dry, the cat forgives. Any of mine that got a bath always have. Their body temperature is considerably higher than a human, so when wet, they naturally feel colder than a wet human would.
When they're disgustingly dirty or covered in something toxic, remember that NOT washing it is torture because it always must itself with its tongue, and cats can't spit out their fur or what's in it without first being digested.
I am a cat lover, I have 2 very spoiled cats, and I still laugh. It's just funny because cats are such dignified little creatures, they seem more upset at the indignity of it all, rather than actually crying because they are in pain or discomfort.

I don't understand why you have to wait for the water to go down. I am a man who never had a cat, but 6 months ago one stray cat followed me home, the first minute he entered i picked him up and gave him a bath. You need to be organized, and have 2 or 3 towels ready. For not distressing the cat, I never use direct running water, just use a small container and wet him enough, so the water doesn't get into his ears and eyes. My cat only cried the first time, because i wasn't prepared...

I have never seen a cat being put into a bath tub of water! Cats are instinctive animals, and have a different respiratory tract than dogs, it's incorrect to immerse them in water as some of the clips are showing. I would use a shower faucet to wet the cats hair, and at the same time holding the scruff of their neck - while applying cat shampoo avoiding the head. And using the shower head again to clear any shampoo on the coat, making sure that any gunk near the eyes is wiped off!

I have never seen a cat being put into a bath tub of water! Cats are instinctive animals, and have a different respiratory tract than dogs, it's incorrect to immerse them in water as some of the clips are showing. I would use a shower faucet to wet the cats hair, and at the same time holding the scruff of their neck - while applying cat shampoo avoiding the head. And using the shower head again to clear any shampoo on the coat, making sure that any gunk near the eyes is wiped off!

My long haired cat that I used to have, her coat used to get greasy cause she had oily skin, and you have to wash hairless cats too because their skin gets all oily like that too! It's not a crime to wash a cat, they just don't like it because their fur gets weighed down.

@Apokolipse no it doesnt have to be done, they clean themselves, i feel sorry for your cats. why do you state it has to be done? or else they die? sir cats live in the wild without baths and live. if your cat has flees or is covered in soot or shit, then you can wash it off, but u dont need to weekly or monthly drop him or her in a bath. i have 2 cats and only washed one of them once when he rolled himself in cow shit. hes 18 btw.

i have something to say to people who have (PET) cats ... don't give them a bath ...the more you give them a bath the more chances are there for them to die .... n don't use perfume on them .. because a cat grooms them selves 24 hours ... it sucks it whole body and the chemical of that perfume gets inside the cats stomach ..they may die i have seen a cat in pet clinic dying in pain thank god the doctor saved the cat at the ryt time so for those who love thier cats plz lsn this
