@spm289 connect your drive to pc with sata. Put your 360 drive into mode b (there are multiple ways). When the drive is in mode b, turn on your pc

I had the same problem and took an hour to figure it out. I used the crossed wire method btw

@pudinhad I highly recommend purchasing at least a CK3 Lite like mine, since you'll have to power cycle your drive many times during the process. Also, you're going to need to either buy a PMT Probe or make your own.

@MrMario2011 :) I already do a test , but I saw my drive was PLDS Lite on 8385 and it did not show Hitachi drive. Maybe it was already spoof into my xbox360. So does I need to use Lite on method to upgrade the firmware or using hitachi method ? thanks .

Nice one vid, i used this to flash an old drive from a cousin of mine, and putted the key of my old xbox drive which was some, fake drive with modded Firmware, but now i have an hitachi 59 with 1.1 flashed.

this whole flashing thing sounds harder then it is actualy, rofl.

now to find an nearby store that sells that CK3 lite thingy.

btw, how do you connect that CK3 Lite? so it provides power to the drive that is.

@Deadlocked3 The CK3 Lite's main purpose is just to power the drive, I use it to eject the drive when needed and it has a Mode-B feature, but I always just use JF to put it in Mode-B. It's just a regular molex adapter to let you power the drive with the weird plug-in that the 360 drives use.

i bought a premodded xbox360 its a hitachi drive , its on the latest LT but i wanna update it myself when 2.0 comes out , i dont have the dvd key how would i get it?

@0ShredUrFace0 That's why I said whenever you do it yourself for the first time, dump your drive. It will dump the current firmware it has on it, along with your DVD key.

hey great video :) . im new to the flashing scene . well i pay for it to be done lol. but i wanna do myself , as all the Xbox's iv had done for mates, they have all updated dashboard , and they gone back to stock :( so my guy will charge again, so i thought id try myself and re-flash with 2.0 fw .. my guy uses a prong to get the keys of the drive, but now he is moaning saying some he cant get because of the dash update, so they wont be able to flash ?? is this true . thanks :)

@djlukesmooth I need more details than that, but I haven't had an issue. I haven't worked on any Slim drives, but I have a Phat LiteOn drive that I have to use a Probe 3 on. It had the latest dashboard update (13599) and I had no issue pulling the key off.

I have one of those Hitachi's that i have never had to reflash because it doesn't have the AP2.5.My question is, do i have to flash now? To play the XGD3 games i download, like Gears of War 3? I ask because i keep getting a yes and a no lol but im guessing u know for sure so i hope u can reply to me. Thanks in Advance

@cowboys4life956 Yes, you will have to reflash. LT+ 2.0 isn't out for Hitachi yet, but it's on the way.
