This is the type of resolution that all states need to stop our continuing march towards fascism. It's a shame we have to do this, but if we follow the Constitution the Congress merely perceives that we are following old fashioned "strict constructionism" of the Constitution. At some point we have to abide by the Constitution; it is the bedrock of our rights along with the Bill of Rights.

I like THAT bill! The only exception that I take with it (as does Curt) is the un-Constitutionality of the draft - as he correctly cites - violates the 13th Amendment. There is no provision in the Constitution where war, either declared (or not) compels one to avail themselves to involuntary servitude. Most citizens, at least that I know, wouldn't hesitate to join the militia or army if they believed that the war (or threat) was real, justified, moral, and direct. So that's not the issue.

I still think it's a great idea though... returning to the constitution. returning power to the states. diminishing instead of growing government. Using the triangle on the dollar bill as it was intended... the base of problem solving being the family, then the town, then the county, the state and lastly the federal government, small and only for limited use. :) GO NH!
