It has nothing to do with "submitting your will to" the Judaeo-Christian G-d which is only a convenient add-on to posit the dogma in a religious context.
The Jews used the term "son" in a metaphoric way to show that whoever follows is is loyal to the one GOD is the son. vice versa means that GOD is the Father.
The christian's later took this out of meaning and said that Jesus is not only the Son of GOD but the begotten Son. This verse created alot of confusion as GOD cannot begot a son. For this reason Islam did not promote the term "father or son". It teaches us to worship the Lord of Jesus and not to associate any partners with Him.
@HamidHayd Your Muhammad did not understand the spiritual / metaphorical meaning of 'son of God' clearly in ur quran.. Muhammad out of his ignorace thought that christians and jews could not be children of God because they were humans.. muhammad did not know what u just explained.
Quran 5:18 The Jews and the Christians said, "We are GOD's children and His beloved." Say, "Why then does He punish you for your sins? You are just humans like the other humans He created."
lemme take you sometime back. why is the word "begotten" removed in the revised edition of the bible. It was clearly there 200 years back and in the old Bible manuscripts.
When the Jews clearly Worshiped and asked from GOD and did not associate any partners with him you worship and ask from Jesus insted. I worship the Lord of Jesus, not Jesus but the Lord of Jesus who he asked from. you adapt not his teachings but the misconceptions, and you call others ignorant .lol
@HamidHay First of all the word "begotten" is english.. if u want to know the original greek word from which begotten was translated u have to look it up IN GREEK and then u can decide if begotten was a accurate translation.. now i did this already and the word 'unique' is a more accurate translation of that greek word.. But even the word begotten it is only muslims who take this term in a physical, biological sense.. Christians understand that it has to be understood spiritually not literally
So when you say that Jesus is the Son of GOD. Is that equal to saying that you are the son of GOD to?
there is a big difference rit? you cant be the same son, you are thought to be the spiritual son while Jesus is the begotten son in other words the son of GOD not in a spiritual way. There you go!
Why ask from the son(Jesus) when you have the opportunity to ask from the Father (GOD)
@HamidHayden True Christians become children of God through the Holy Spirit.. they become a new person in Christ.. their lives are changed after becomming a child of God.
Yes every true christian becomes a child of God through Christ.. and a true christian has a genuine desire to keep a good relationship with his / her heavenly Father because they have the Spirit of God working in them / their lives..
Christ is the unique son of God.. He was sinless thats one reason why he is unique
@HamidHayden The word begotten might not be the most accurate translation.. 'unique' son of God might be more accurate.. But Christians believe that God is Spirit.. so if He begets, He begets Spiritually.. we cannot always apply limited human definitions of words to our Creator.. He is above everything and He is beyond our understanding anyway.. His ways are not our ways.
JESUS does claim to be the SON OF GOD AND THAT GOD WHERE HIS FATHER, and the Jews did not use the term SON metaphoric just where do you read this surely not in the Bible, GOD never called ishmael HIS SON, the reason why islam does not acknowledge JESUS as being the SON OF GOD is this muhammad was lying
@TheAli570 Why do u have to lie? Muslims don't agree with that because in islam Allah is not a Father and believers are not his children like in the Bible. No one in islam allowed to call himself a child of God and Jesus is not a son of God in islam.. so don't lie please ok
Naik, just shut up.
That is so funny that muslim are so crazy about this kind of fools, one more evidence that islam is made by a dummy for dummies

Islam means 'submission' only.
It has nothing to do with "submitting your will to" the Judaeo-Christian G-d which is only a convenient add-on to posit the dogma in a religious context.
