  • By the way , what deck are you using , look so flexy !

  • I am using Hyper-Carve 47" Longboard , with paris truck 180mm . Feel not good ...I will change to Carver C-7 Truck later....feel more surf!

  • @bradcto nce ! cool move !

  • @calum249 i have the same problem :( my board is a santa cruz landshark

  • @RaytDaGame the trucks matter a lot also !

  • @RaytDaGame dnt need a fancy board just one that suits u

  • can i carve on a pintail

  • @cre3perGoBO0M sure !

  • @g888 how about a pintaill 37

  • belgium? xp

  • Giving advices without a helmet ?!! come on man!!

  • @GoldenSim27 mind you i advice to wear one :-) and I'm living in a "free country" not the US :p

  • @g888 Umm the US is a free country, just letting you know

  • 1:05 shoulda been edited out of this "tips" video.

and in my opinion, configuration is more important than brands.

clear and easy to follow instructions though :)

  • My setup is sector 9 9 star with gullwing nail carvers and 74mm nineball wheels, is this a decent setup for light carving? This is my first longboard, so I'm not too crazy. Cheers.

  • @Jordstik i think its fine ! as you gain experience you will meet other riders and try their boards ... so you will want to change after some time (or stick to your setup if you like it better ;-)

    greetz

    g

  • @Jordstik i have a carbonite with that exact setup, and works really good in some ligh-medium carving, also its really good sliding

  • would you say 46" is too big for stuff like this? i just bought a board and am trying to learn

  • @adamhawkes its not to big you know ;-) it all depends on your training (practice makes perfect) but maybe you need good turning trucks like revenge or exkate, or original (paris is not bad either with soft bushings) greetz

    g

  • @adamhawkes dont even think of getting original trucks unless you want to get hurt. Just put some soft, high rebound bushings and your board will carve just fine

  • loaded dervish plus really looooooooooose paris 180 <3

  • " be a good hero to the kids that may see you fly by" i suggest your wear a helmet so they don't think its cool to ride without one and then they crack their heads open when they dont use one. :)

  • his sandles are sexy -.-

  • thats a good idea trying to chase away cars

  • dorr, trucks shouldnt be loose/floppy. they should be snug. just put in soft bushings...

  • nice mandals

  • are you my mom?!?!?! just tell me how and tips of carving....WTF its obvious should have an eye for cars......and maybe you should take some of your own advice bro

  • dude idk what all these people are talking about. carving is probably the easiest thing on a board. sure its just as easy to fuck up but what wrong with a lil fuck up. just dont be a dumbass and purposfully carve on a street ful of cars. find a nice garage and learn how much carve you board can take by pushing it as far as it goes.

  • is carving on a longboard same as on a snowboard?

  • @ocall1919 similar except your feet aren't locked in and on a snowboard you don't have wheels, older wheels will slide out easier where newer ones will grip unless you get freeride wheels or ones that are already coned.

  • ya wat he said

  • how long did u need to carve like this?

    its nice!

what deck would you prefer for a beginner?

  • @NiggoFB

    hi there,

carving is my main subject and i carved about every device on the market :-)

when i made that vid i had about 4 or 5 years of practice, but i started from zero. i had never ridden a skate before... and i was around 42 then;-)

i started with a flat selfmade board, and exkate trucks, the board was quite wide

    greetz

    g

  • @g888 4 or 5 years are u crazy it took me a month to do it like that.

  • @NiggoFB If you are a beginner, dont get a pintail, get a dropthrough or dropdown or something. Pintails are the hardest boards to slide on

  • how lose should my trucks be???

  • @TheHolyPig : pretty lose i would say , especially the front one ! how lose depends on your weight, your leg power and the size of the board (wide boards can have a tighter truck)

    g

  • @TheHolyPig get an original with original trucks for carving

  • great vid 5 stars, good for begginers

  • u almost got ran over by that car!!!

  • its not that bad ;-) i made it look like that only :-))

  • hah, that guy in the car freaked out when you carved towards him :P, nice vid!

  • haha ! thanks ;-)

  • whats with the Persian music

  • huh?

  • it's the chemical brothers, great little band

  • @jojo95123 lmao the song just has instrumental persian stuff, at first i was like huh?

  • jep een wijkje in nieuwpoort bad (alee wat verder tussen nieuwpoort en oostduinkerke

  • Comment removed

  • jep in nieuwpport bad

  • what about footbraking? that's an option..

  • yes indeed ! i m just not good at it ;-) especially on this kind of loose boards !

    thnx for the comment !

    g

  • great carves! just try to wear a helmet....I got a concushion for not wearing a helmet and it is not fun!

  • yes you are right , i've got helmets now ;-)

    greetz

    g

  • Hey im glad to here jump off before picking up to much speed i just got my sandwedge s9 and is great for carving but u pick speed up fast and i picked p to muched a bailed into the grass but cut my arm open

  • okay i will but for later which pair should i get revenge or original

  • hi it could be, if you are good at pools i guess you could ride almost anything in them ;-)

  • It depends on what you like to do...if u just like to carve then get revenge but if u like to pick up speed and bomb hills and slide and carve then get original

  • i have some originals and their sick i got the s6 on the hybrid 35 pretty fun :) lol but people would rather get s8 or s10?? dumb to me my s6 on flat and small hills are strangly more stable then my gullwings? well to me :)

  • how would i carve on a sector nine i have loosen the trucks but just doesnt carve as good as i thought i have gullwings so what should i do

  • hi, i would not be surprised if the gullwings did not carve like my setup ! the front truck on this vid is a super 6 (original) fastened by inclining it downwards to the nose the back one is a dropped revenge : those are really active carving trucks. you could change one truck for a start (the front one) greetz g

  • hey in a revenge video i saw them put hard wheels on their trucks will they mean they will be good for pools and bowls?

  • is it a kommi?

  • WEAR A HELMET! beter safe than sorry,

    especialy in traffic

  • Oostduinkerke, daar ben ik ook al eens heen en weer gereden.

  • hey i jus bought an arbor wich came wit gullwing alpines, i noe dey aint gona work da same as revenge truks, but dey still giv u a decent carve n stability yeh? im new to longbordin

  • hi there,

i've got some alpines 2 and they work just fine (a little like holey's) they are just a bit narrow and so you have to beware the they may cause wheelbite ! try that out before riding!

(personally i put an orignal truck in the front for carving but i'm not a beginner ;-)

    greetz

    g

ps: you also may have to tighten the trucks a little at first ! good luck !

  • hey u reckon da gullwing alpines r decent enuff 4 a nice basic carve, i noe dey aint gona work da same as da revenge trucks, but u reckon itll b gud enuff still for a beginer longboarder

  • Very nice Vid! Most of the text is pretty visible when you view it on full screen, although sometimes (mostly the last ones) I did have some trouble reading them.

Great tips nonetheless! Hoping for more soon!

  • Nice tips. keep 'em coming.

Maybe use bigger text on some moments isn't very visible on here.

  • okay ! thnx , thought on full screen it might be large enough ! greetz g ;-)
