You really did well - put your style on this song, that is one of my favorites from U2. But, like citehman said below, you can't sing with Bono's emotion on having lost a friend because of a drug. I cannot say "great" because I am such a fan of US and nothing compares to them or their music. It appears that you sing and play with a great deal of passion and to be able to perform ANYTHING by U2, it takes passion. They sing, play and write what they do because they believe what they song about. I wish you the best and hope you continue with the music.

I just never really understand what is so great about this band,but I have never listened trough a single album and just heard the "hits".I think I will take the time to download the discography and see what made them big ... the old stuff is most likely the best when Bono was just a singer and not a "I will try to save the world" preacher (nothing wrong with that though,but ... it's a capitalist corrupted system that just need african nations to debt free = free market = big$ for investors)

Your like the Asian Bono. It Started good. The 'im not sleepin' part though was a bit a boy bandish. To be honest its not that unique at all. Its good. But you should try to put your own twist on it. Cos you have the voice and can play. Get your son to do the back up singin too.. he looked up for it.

Nice stuff! This song normally has a sparse arrangement, but the digital delay in the Edge's guitar sound fills the space. In your version, it appears that the way you recorded/processed your voice did a great job of filling the space. (I'm not talking about the part after 3:00 with the heavy reverb, but right from the start)

One of my favorite U2 songs and a very hard one to cover..

You threw in a mix or two and that was OK. But obvious, sorry.

It is a super cover and I rate it high as one.

A song like this from U2 and the moments Bono is using every fiber of his voice is hard to match and no one can do it but Bono.
