No wonder that Jean-Pierre Ponnelle was impressed by Heather Begg's Marcellina. She had a wonderful voice and was a great actress as well with much comedian talent. Brava !!!

Marcellina is sung by Heather Begg, a mezzo-soprano from New Zealand. Unfortunately she died in 2009 at the age of 76. She was a celebrated singer in UK, Australia and New Zealand but less known in Europe. Jean Pierre Ponnelle had seen her in this role and invited her to sing it in this movie.
