  • We can say that the universe has always existed. Or we can say that god has always existed and created everything. OR we also can say that consciousness (life) has always existed in some form and created everything. The universe is a way for consciousness to understand itself. Therefor consciousness made the universe in order to explore itself because the universe is only an extension of consciousness. Depending on its size, consciousness makes many universes in many dimensions, to explore.

  • who created stings, the membranes, time and the dimensions? Ex nihilo

  • Three physicists, one train...

Do yourself a favor, don't google it >_<.

  • @Sinekyre14 lol i just got that.

  • This doco isn't explaining anything. It doesn't explain any "hows" or "whys". We arn't stupid and have attention spans longer than mice. We don't need fancy graphics or sounds or over simplified explenations that leave more questions than answers... I want to know the proper (non BBC) version of the theory. Anyone have any links to a lecture or something?

  • @brendanraymond I agree, it is waaay too simplified a bit of equations and how they work would be good.

  • these niggas was proly high as fucc wen they thought the shit up lol

  • lol at all the dumb stoner talk going around here

  • Universe Infinite= infinite in all ways, both time and space is a measure of infinite in a finite way that is abstract when space is infinite. There is no time. No beginning or end only infinity. A Paradox that is trueOnly the infinite. If one could move instantaneously through space through the infinite void without end to the moment before it becomes infinite then you could arrive at a point exactly where you stand now, so in effect, there is no end only infinity as the fundamental constant.

  • It would be interesting to find out that our dreams are a universe or dimension. It might/would leak so many things that it is dangerous for we might learn how to control our dreams.

  • I hope they weren't in the quiet carriage.

  • The universe is a mobius strip, the self eating snake, it simply is. We as humans always think that something has a beginning and end because our lives as we know it have a beginning and end, its what we relate to. But trying to comprehend time going infinitely in both directions (in the future and past) would be like trying to describe the color red to a blind person, just because our minds cant wrap around something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Who's to say after we die we aren't reborn?

  • We live forever bitches that's what de Ja vu is

  • lets face the facts on how the universe started, it was Chuck Norris

  • @CharlesBloodInit: Finally! Someone else with the same theory! xD

  • I got lost on the 3rh part. SHIT!

  • We only believe everything has a beginning and an end because everything on earth has a beginning and an end. As creatures of earth its hard to bend our minds to believe "there is no beginning and that something can continue on into infinity"

  • @TlalocDiosDelAgua I totally typed almost the exact thing and then saw you beat me to it, hivemind :)

  • I think our universe is only one cell of another creature, that lives in a larger universe, that lives in a larger membrane, that lives in a larger creature. The Circle of Life! (Lion King bitches :D)

  • there are 21 dimensions in total.

There are so many other unverses and humans will never ever find out the beginning. of the universes!!!!!

  • us religious people have been telling people the spirit realm exists beside our own for a long time. ever seen the movie constantie when they go in to hell everything is the exact same excepts spirits live there instead of us.

  • basically, the Universe is a super computer? xD the Matrix didn't lie :p

  • what do you mean real matters? that's is a important question.

  • So then how does one explain the beginning of the other parallel universes? Again, we are confronted with the same dillemma: how did every thing BEGIN????

  • @DieserBenuterIstCool It's very easy. There is no begining and there is no end. Something have always been there. As we all know, we cant make anything out of nothing. All material is constant, things are just shifting shape or what ever you wanna call it.And time is just something humans have invented. Of course the univers have a beginning, but there was something before that, and before that and so on. I dont know if the univers will end or if it is eternal but something will always be there.

  • @wazziboy Perhaps the human cannot truly understand everything about... everything around everything... All that exist, we may never truly solve the equation...

  • @wazziboy how about somehow a creator made space and time including matter in it and we simply cannot understand that because the creator actually is nothing because he created everything. it will not be affected by time cause it created that, will not be anywhere because it created ''somewhere''(space) and will not be anything because it created matter and we just cannot understand what that nothing is because all for all we know if it isn't something it doesn't exist. and it doesn't.

  • @wazziboy i think your point of view is good but just think about it nothing can be just there it had a beginning maybe not an a end but it certainly had a beginning.

  • @DieserBenuterIstCool Who said it HAD to begin? Who says it has to end? Time is one of the dimensions we as humans have labeled as an idea with a word. Maybe time exists just for our race. Time is only real to us, not the universe. Maybe time is just a false idea. There is no such thing as time. When we "die" it's just our bodies getting to old to function anymore, like a car that gets too old. Our bodies are nothing more than a shell for our energy (ie soul, spirit). Energy can't be destroyed.

  • @LucasLevon People are going to say the Bible or at least the Christians

  • @DieserBenuterIstCool Why does there even have to be a "beginning", or an "ending"?

  • @DieserBenuterIstCool that is too mind boggling for humans to ever understand

  • My brain hurts.

  • 'Everything that could happen, does happen in one of these universes'

What about the universe were M-Theory dosen't work.

Unlike other documentry's about M-Theory this one looks like somthing out of a drug trip.

  • wait a second!!!!! what if we are a parallel univers ? like if there is a other universe that we are paralel to then we are not the center but then we will be a by-product of a other world :S shit i should stop watching this this only evolves more questions !

  • not buying

  • This is a dishonest ploy in the geocentric/heliocentric concept that instead of a particle just moving within the universe but the unvierse spliting into many alternate realities based on the movement of just one particle let alone all of them moving. Even if some of this could be true at the end of the day we have still not found and catologed one other universe other than ours let alone many others.

  • They are not explaining anything about the reason of the birth of our universe.

  • @SatoshiDaate

Er...why is a reason needed. What is the reason of a rock?

  • You could try reading a book on the subject: Endless Universe by Steinhardt and Turok. You can't expect to understand a complex hypothesis by watching some TV show for an hour.

  • I'm lost. I don't get it at all, good thing I'm not a scientist.

  • this is total nonsense and idiocy. Amen

  • The scientific solution? Create dimensions and universes to make the math work. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. If it doesn't work, you're simply wrong. What if a scientist wants 2 + 2 to = 5? You can't change anything to make that work. Math is infinite. Math cannot be changed. Just seems to me that scientists have to MAKE it work.

  • These physicist's are on crack with this membrane stuff. Moving Dimesion's Theory(MDT).

  • To quote and correct EmperorDS -

"I think it's more of a hypothesis than an actual theory."

Theories are hypotheses, they became law when they stand the test of time and scrutiny.

  • @TheSaxRunner05 actually to correct you a Theory never becomes a Law.

  • @TheSaxRunner05 Actually, from what I have read. A scientific hypothesis is just a hypothetical explanation for something that has not yet been proven (e.g. I think the moon is made of cheese) whereas a theory is a proven or partly proven hypothesis (e.g. Theory of Relativity). Also, the law of gravity for example refers to the actual fact that gravity exists whereas the theory of gravitation refers to the explanation of this fact.

  • What if they collide... half life ??

  • Is it just me or is this not making any sense at all?

  • @EmperorDS. It must be you, just kidding. Something like this is very hard to convey in simple terms. Basically it is just saying there could be or may be other universe's or multiverse's. Think of it this way, what really happens to our consciousness when the body dies, it my go to one of these other universe's to be part of a new being. That's my theory and it's better than a heaven and a god.

  • @krissyeh What I don't get is how two universes with rippling membranes colliding together would cause a big bang and create matter for a third universe. And where exactly does the singularity come in? And does this collision create more membrane for the third (newborn / our) universe? If so how? I think it's more of a hypothesis than an actual theory. A really vague hypothesis that is. If it does explain it I guess it really IS me!

  • @EmperorDS These membranes contain the basic 5 manifestations of everything in its simplest form in its surface. I believe that when two different membranes collide, these contact points make a reaction, which trigger these manifestations that form a universe.

Hypotheses these may be, but these are derived from fundamental mathematical equations that direct these conclusions. These physicists 'experiment' on these formula and from following known derivatives and constants, these come up.

  • @EmperorDS yea,,they just trying to make it more complicated so they don't run out of job,,i guess salary for nonsense theory is good,

  • Missing a few seconds of video between each segment.

  • Poorly done by coocurrent. Missing a few seconds of video between each segment.

  • so that is it ?1? Our entire universe is really just an itty-bitty fractal?

  • @MissBehavin1111 you seem dissapointed

  • @playtoyx ..just amazed at how smart Dr. Seuss was . Ever really read Horton hears a Who? The Whos are a fractal universe. "People are people no matter how small." , also an idea by author Swift in Gullivers' Travels. But here we are , fish in a bowl, trying to describe where we live , not even taking into account the living room around us.

  • @MissBehavin1111 The real problem is there's no living room. Existence is by definition everything.

  • Have you ever noticed that words have about seven meanings and run has a 101 in those thick Oxford dictionaries? Actually they have unlimited shades of meaning by the context they are in and the words and combinations of words that they modify and the words that modify them. We can look at the world from one aspect or place in our brain and see something entirely different. I tend to think that we are at least dealing with facets or sides of an idea and there are many sides to any idea.

  • If gravity can "slip" from one universe to the next can we slip also? 'cause you know it's be fun, perhaps, to visit a parallel universe.

  • amazing
