  • FUCKING VAMPIRE BATS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • why cant modern castlevania games have this song?

  • @pollotierrez It's in Ecclesia, albeit as a item you have to find and activate, though.

  • @IgkuitBBswm how is the song called on ecclesia? or where can i hear it?

  • this theme its so awesome

  • I always hear this song to make things a little bit faster.

  • where i can download this song?

  • I don't even remember this music from this game...I don't think I ever made it this far lol

  • I play this song when fighting Dracula in OOE

  • You mixed the name of this one w/ Walking on the edge

  • Kicks Pelvic Bones.

  • men.... I wish I could have a old NES that works, I have to play with an Emulator and i'm sure it's not the same feeling. =/ (at least it's less Difficult >.<")

  • Man i cant find one bad castlevania...Exept maybe 2nd one but it has that kind of RPG elemnt i like. like on the end if u finish game in 7 days/nights u get ending a

if u for 14 or something u get a b ending where simon afterwards dies from curse

and 3rd one where he didnt even defeat dracula

    Anyway <3 konami XD

  • Very awesome song, can´t decide between this and wicked child for my favourite..

It´s just sad that I don´t here it that much while playing. Death is near impossible and when I manage to beat him, I´m usually able to rush right to Dracula, or are so pumped up, that I don´t notice it.

  • @TaikiStorm Go Bloody Tears or Wicked Child. My 2 faves.

  • @TaikiStorm U think deaths impossible on 1st one

Try DRACULA and DEATH on the castlevania chronicles. I was so pissed i couldnt finish it on ps1 no matter how much times i tried, was playing it just for the sake of good memories :D. anyway i said fuck it and downloaded an emulator for ps1 on the pc wich only helpd me with one thing- saving in the middle of some stages now 90% of game is easy peasy for me but those 10% dracula n death are hardcore motherfuckers u might even break ur disk xD

  • OH SHIT IM ALMOST OUT OF TIME

  • One bat's enough; but fighting four Phantom Bats at one time is SUICIDE!!

  • Actually it's five X_X

    Those were dark times.

  • i first tought this means that you only have 1 min. left on any level lol

  • perfect song for the final level of the game. Perfect follow up for the battle with the reaper really makes you feel like simons quest is nearing its end.

  • Tick Tock tick tock tick tock.... hurry it could be too late...

  • Some bgm's fit their role so perfectly. Vampire Killer is a perfect 1st level tune - it's strong, it's catchy, and it sets the mood. Similarly, this one is a phenomenal "final level" tune - it's got this feeling of urgency about it that makes you want to rush to the end. It's made all the more epic since you have to beat frikkin Death to get here.

Man, when you really sit and think about it, this game was so well made it's scary.

  • Very epic. My third faveorite song in the game. My second being heart of fire (Stage 5) and wicked child (Stage 3) as number 1.

  • Actually fourth now, I like vampire killer better (But only by a little bit. this song still owns)

  • underrated song

  • Very

  • Excellent tune, this tune reminds me of the goonies 2 from konami.

  • I don't know why, but it resembles me to Contra (NES) level 5

  • Probably because both Castlevania and Contra were made by Konami.

  • Definite resemblance, now that I think of it. I just wish Castlevania's 5th level was as easy as Contra's 5th level.

  • Contra is 100x ezer then Castlevania tho

  • @vantendo That's an understatement. I can beat Contra without dying even once, but the only time I even made it to Castlevania stage 6 I had to use a game genie for infinite lives and required MANY attempts (probably dozens) to kill the Grim Reaper.

  • @femstarlight Holy Water helps. It's underrated in the newer games, but in the original, it is God.

  • @jgraves1942 I know how effective holy water is, the difficulty is getting it, keeping it, then making it to the reaper. One thing I hate about some old games is an apparent lag between the time you hit the jump button and the time you actually jump. The play control is half the difficulty in games likes that.

  • @vantendo contra is impossible without the konami code

  • lol that's epic

  • Great tune! They portrayed this "out of time" feeling to it very well. The part from 0:20 to 0:26 has this "blinking lights" sound effects to it like an emergency call.

  • Are you mocking me? that "lol" makes it sound as though you mock the fact i was born after the NES died off.

  • How would he know that you're born after the NES times? Besides, why would an old NES game dedicate a whole song just for when you're running out of time?

A "lol" was inevitable, you know. :/

  • well, the post-NES stuff's understandable, but there's a good chance that a NES-game would've had a track for when you're running out of time. Hm, the fact that i thought this track was a "Running out of time" track was due to the title. If it wasn't called Out Of Time, I wouldn't have asked if it was a track for when you're out of time!

  • Actually, the possibilities of having a track for running out of time in a NES game is rather low. It's mostly about technical and space limitations.

Though, yeah, when looking just at the title, I guess it's not really a stupid question.

  • the only two game I have ever heard have a song for when your "low on time" on the nes are Bubble Bobble and Super Mario Brothers. I know there are more but you know how it is be.

  • sorry for the tard comment (love the track) but i'm guessing by the name that the music plays when you're low on time, right?

  • lol no its for the last stage

  • One of the greatest songs...OF ALL TIME!!! hahaha

I cannot get this song out of my head.

    Freaking Awesome!

  • I miss this song !!! :)))

  • AAH! I love this song!!

  • for an evil villain, dracula sure picks the best music to play throughout his castle.

  • HAHAHAH Shit-cheh!

  • MC Dracul ftw

  • @TheRealShadoninja In like every game he does a good job of that, lol.

  • @TheRealShadoninja its a fact

  • @TheRealShadoninja that's why the evil villains are always best in the game -duh- XD

  • A very good song. Fits the mood perfectly. To bad its so underated.

  • I agree!

  • @BuyMeThingsnow That's because the level is really short, it's the last level, and it only appears once in the entire game. Plus there's not many remixes...But I love it.

  • @BuyMeThingsnow Agreed. F*** Vampire Killer!

...not really, but yea that 1st stage tune's done to death.

  • @BuyMeThingsnow i think in my opinion its not really recognisable Castlevania theme its sounds too likealot of NES games all the rest are different in my opinion

  • I remember de giant bats in this level D:

    Good song!

  • Heh, I remember seeing all those bats and I froze - I mean, come on, these guys were bosses! But the thing is, you can actually walk past most of the bats, and if you're ever in a tricky situation with one of them, there's a stop watch nearby you can pick to help out. Awesome song by the way, one of the best.
