Geoge Adams was killed by some of the natives during a civil war. In making the movie, one of Adams men in the compound was killed by the lion they called Boy. Boy was a lion that Adams had before they brought Christian in. Boy had gotten mauled in a fight with wild lions and when he came back to the compound, The assistant went to let him in and he was attacked by Boy. Adams had to get a gun to shoot Boy, but it was too late. His assistant was too badly mauled. He and the lion had to die.

Maybe C the lion stayed safe in the Meru River Reserve area.Anyone that stayed at the Adamson camp all died.Before G A died,there were no stories of a big 500 lb lying dying or being shot so maybe Christian and his pride lived a long time in the safer Meru River area.
read the book last night and remember reading online that G A said before he died that he heard C moved to a safer area up river in Meru National Park and that he heard that the lion may have gotten up to 500 lbs.He also heard of no big lions being shot or killed either so maybe Christian did make it to an old ripe age after Geo A died.This would be 1989.Ace and John did make the right decision as they released the lion at a park that was somewhat protected.
George came to the aid of a tourist who was visiting the park.Poachers were trying to rob her or something and shot at them but George got hit in the chest instead.The tourist wasn't hurt.
People should be allowed to have these animals as pets then. They are safe with people that love and care for their well being. I hope your not one of the peta freaks that believes no animals should have evil human contact. XD
George Adamson was murdered by poachers. Christian is very probably dead, Lions don't have long lives in the wild. Some years ago there was a distemper that wiped out a lot of Lions. Of course John and Ace shouldn't have bought Christian, but they were naive and it was the 60s when anything went. But I think by setting him free they did the best thing they could for him. This story is one that should be told.
Setting him free was better than him sitting in that cage at Harrods.He would have been better off in a zoo or a sanctuary and living to a an ripe old age of 25.I wonder if John and Ace have regets?
Yes,its better to be free but if the lion had been my pet,I would have put it in a wildlife sanctuary but at that time when Ace and John got Christian,they couldn't find one in the UK.

I think they just didn't want him in a zoo like his parents were with not much room to roam.There were no really big sanctuaries in the UK then.The wild animal park in San Diego was built a few years later.
If you look at the last tape of C with Ace and John ( John has a beard ),you will see that the lion doesn't really pay much attention to them.He had his own family and moved on.He left Kora Park and like the book said,hopefully stayed in the safer Meru River park.Anyone at Kora Park died later.

An Amazing and touching video. This reminds me of when I left my old home to go to a new town to study and my cats and parents stayed behind. On my rare visits once every 5-6 months my cats walk towards me even from a distance and show no fear like they see and understand that it's me even though they are usually a little afraid of other people. They greet me and I feel welcome and at ease like they did when they grew up in my care. They remember. They have feelings. Love is hard to explain....

Animal lovers can pet and hug Christian at the local zoo. Go there after hours and leap into his den. Don't worry the zoo officials and Christian won't hurt any of you. Lions never harm humans (or Christians).
Technically, it was tigers that the romans used, not lions, and usually they'd starve the animals for days before releasing them on people so that the desired effect would occur. Stop being an idiot and do some research before you think up random shyte.

it is still a wild animal, yes, but just like everything in nature if you respect it and earn it's trust it will respect you in return. These men clearly had done this from having raised him. Lions naturally live in prides or families. When the male cubs reach adult hood they tend to branch off and make their own prides. Christian probably figures that these men were his "pride" and when of age he was sent to have a pride of his own. His orignial pride wasn't forgotten show by the reunion.

animals seem dangerous b/c it's barbaric to humans the way they kill, fight, and eat. I think they will not do us any harm if there is no reason. George came to the aid of a tourist who was visiting the park.Poachers were trying to rob her or something and shot at them but George got hit in the chest instead.The tourist wasn't hurt.

George Adamson was murdered by poachers. Christian is very probably dead, Lions don't have long lives in the wild. Some years ago there was a distemper that wiped out a lot of Lions. Of course John and Ace shouldn't have bought Christian, but they were naive and it was the 60s when anything went. But I think by setting him free they did the best thing they could for him. This story is one that should be told.

Yes,its better to be free but if the lion had been my pet,I would have put it in a wildlife sanctuary but at that time when Ace and John got Christian,they couldn't find one in the UK.

I think they just didn't want him in a zoo like his parents were with not much room to roam.There were no really big sanctuaries in the UK then.The wild animal park in San Diego was built a few years later.

If you look at the last tape of C with Ace and John ( John has a beard ),you will see that the lion doesn't really pay much attention to them.He had his own family and moved on.He left Kora Park and like the book said,hopefully stayed in the safer Meru River park.Anyone at Kora Park died later.

I read the book on christian that john and ace wrote and it said that poachers were trying to rob a lady that was visiting george at his compund and he went to help her but he got shot instead and he died instantly. I think they buried him near either boy or elsa, im not sure wich.

An Amazing and touching video. This reminds me of when I left my old home to go to a new town to study and my cats and parents stayed behind. On my rare visits once every 5-6 months my cats walk towards me even from a distance and show no fear like they see and understand that it's me even though they are usually a little afraid of other people. They greet me and I feel welcome and at ease like they did when they grew up in my care. They remember. They have feelings. Love is hard to explain....

it is still a wild animal, yes, but just like everything in nature if you respect it and earn it's trust it will respect you in return. These men clearly had done this from having raised him. Lions naturally live in prides or families. When the male cubs reach adult hood they tend to branch off and make their own prides. Christian probably figures that these men were his "pride" and when of age he was sent to have a pride of his own. His orignial pride wasn't forgotten show by the reunion.

animals seem dangerous b/c it's barbaric to humans the way they kill, fight, and eat. I think they will not do us any harm if there is no reason. They only get violent if they are protecting sumthng, or hunting. I hugged a lion and there was nothing to fear b/c i didn't even have fear in my mind and it had no need to do anything to me.
