Sorry clabby93, you're the 'retared'. The Edge has electronic roll stability control as part of the AdvancTrac system, and the AWD version has a rear stabilizer/anti-sway bar connected to a four-link IRS.

1 - not have 2 amber yellow lights on rear for turning sign and emergency parking lot,,,

You're retared, theres no roll stability on these, that doesn't even exist. Doubt you even know what a sway bar is, but these don't come with those, either. They're just very wide cars, your tires will reach peak grip and begin to slide before you can get enough grip to actually roll the car. Only way it could happen is if you had really strong tires, or hit a hill or something that would cause you to flip.

@clabby93 AdvanceTrac RSC (Roll Stability Control) is standard. I was surprised that they put it on these though. I didn't think it existed either until I started reading someones owners manual. I don't know how it works though. I'm guessing it's just like ESC with different sensors.

@SpencerS77 It's been standard on Ford SUVs for quite some time now. I believe since around 2006 because my Explorer 2006 model had RSC. My brand new Ford Flex has it as well. ESC comes standard now on all Ford models as well.

Ford does use Mazda designed. The new 2008+ Ford Focus uses the same supention from the Mazda Speed 3 but has softer springs.

It has a pretty good engine too, which is ford made, not mazda. I dont like the transmission much though, the shifts feel uneven. But its a nice car.

It looks like its doing very well considering the Edge's size and weight on thoughs average size tires. you can see the stability control working by preventing any oversteer (sliding) on the turns.

You get 265 horses , stability and traction control systems to keep that power in check , and a quiet, comfortable ride when your not on the pedal , so what IS to complain about ... not many people are going to drive it as if their Dom from Fast and the Furious !

Good point. But if you had the ability to defeat the stability control AND more rear torque bias, it would handle better because it would understeer less. Ford needs to take lessons from the AWD leaders; Audi, Subaru, and Mitsubishi.
