  • ist's the seeker not the walker.

  • Rarely has such an incredible book been made into such a horrible movie.

  • neh... Johnathan...

  • this film was on the TV the other day i watched it good filmxx

  • thank you

  • i remember a movie with some bridge and some kid with the house and water in it. AND IT FREAKING KILLED ME TRYING TO REMEMBER WHAT MOVIE IT WAS!! then when i went to Half Price Book Store i saw the movie and looked at the bridge and it was the same one!!!!! i was freaking going crazy *in my mind thou* hahaha but thank you soooo much i cant find it anywhere else >.<

  • I CAN'T FIND THE FULL MOVIE ANYWHERE WHERE I DONT HAVE TO GIVE MY EMAIL AND CRAP!

  • I LOVE ZXANDER SO MUCH!

  • I have read the book many times and i love it. I have seen this movie as well and love it just as much!

  • @zeroendless2 :nice :D

  • @zeroendless2 I love the books too, well except maybe the first one "over sea under stone" because its a little bit boring but the other books are great

  • When does the second one come out?

  • i love this book

  • for any of you have not read the books you are going to think this is great, but compared to the books its rubbish I was very dissappointed when i saw this

  • I was disappointed with this movie. I'd read the books when I was a kid & was totally enthralled by them but Hollywood let me down yet again. I wish Peter Jackson had taken up this project *pouts*

  • please keep on supporting alexander ludwig he's a really good friend once you get to know him...this movie rocks!!!!

  • This moovie is awsome!

  • I was so looking forward to the walkers bits in this film and when i heard jonathan jackson was playing him i was so excited and then i go to the cinema to watch the film and was like what! Where the bloody hell is the walker, in the deleted scenes on the DVD thats where. I cant believe they have done that, if you are going to base it on a book at least do it right.

  • hey guys ..

    where's the full movie ?

i've search it everywhere , but all i can get is just the trailer ..

    can someone help me ??

    please reply .

    thanks a lot .

  • i love alexander

  • Ian Mcshane...not swearing?!?!

  • Ian Mcshane...not acting!

  • DELETED SCENES? <33

My copy doesn't have 'em. Which DVDs have the special features and which don't? (In other words, what does Region 2 mean?)

  • This is not right! The book is set in england with british people!! Just hearing the american actor/actresses is cringeworthy - what a shame

  • i know. It's not like britain has bad actors they could have easily filmed this in the UK. And also Will is 11 and not 13. The books are way better.

  • this scene is shoot in romania bucharest:)...plazza mall:):)

  • Why did they leave out the Walker? So stupid! And it didn't seem like those scenes took up that much time! Stupid producers. I just hope the guy who played the Walker got paid.

  • This was a decent film - stunning effects.

  • that is SOOO not what Merriman is suppose to act or look like...or Will, or anyone in the movie for that matter.

  • Ooh! I love Alexander Ludwig..

  • the walker betrays the old ones!!!! and merriman lets him at peace i dont know why

  • i think tht if i had kept seeing the walker like tht i would hav gone up 2 him and sed 'STOP STALKING ME YOU PERVERT!!!' tht probably wud hav bin the last thing i sed because he wud hav probably killed me but hey who cares??

  • Jonathan Jackson did such a great job in this movie.. wish he was in more stuff... but this movie wasnt as good as the book..not by a long shot..

  • Ah, come on! They distorced everything in the movie!! I've read just 100 pages until now, and Will HAD to talk to him... ahh!! Why do they do that to such good books? All the same with HP... movies suck, books are great!

  • If you want the movie to be a copy of the book, couldn't you just go back and read the book? They rewrote the thing, but gave it an original twist. If they'd kept it entirely the same, it would have been predictable to everyone who had read the novel. The point of an adaption of a book is that it's BASED off the novel, not that it follows the novel verbatim.

  • Well, BASED in something should have at least the most important things of the novel. They both suck anyway, the movie and the book. I expected much more from the book, since the movie was weak. It would be great if they based on the novel to make something better of it, but it never happens when books become movies.

  • yes but the reason ppl see movies that are based on books, is so they can see what they read put to real life, and when its so much worse than the book it dissapoints anybody who had the sense to read the book beforehand.

  • Not really THE reason. I go to see movies because they have actors/a director that I really like, or because I think they look good/interesting; whether based on a book or not. Sure, if I've read the novel beforehand, I'd probably go to see the movie, but that wouldn't be THE reason.

And there is no way a book can possibly be translated perfectly on to the screen. Pacing doesn't allow for that; a ton of things have to be cut and changed, often according to budget.

  • i guess, but still.

  • But still what?

  • but still, even little things can improve a mive, like casting, or like in eragon when the elves didnt even have pointed ears. taht was pathetic, and sometimes, they make such a big mistake it ruins the plot, like leaving out the walker, he was a big part of the plot.

  • True. I've never read the book myself, but as long as the plot can hypothetically get along just fine without one element or another, if another element has to be skewed to make up for it, it will make no difference to casual moviegoers.

  • really? you should read the book, its really good, and i suppose it could get along without the walker, i've never actually seen the movie, but by taking out the walker, they would have had to do a whole bunch of other things to make up for it. and it wouldn't be as good as the book anymore, and they would basically be two seperate entities, just with the same name, which isn't so bad when u look at it dat way, but still, if u base a movie on a book, they could at least try to make the similiar

  • There's a line between basing a film off a novel and distorting the plot and essence of the novel so badly it's hardly recognisable... which is what they did here.

  • I wonder why they cut that out of the film. I didn't read the books but it looks like a really important aspect of the story, and it would have been cool to see Will stalked by the Walker.

  • that was different

  • i wish they would have include the walker in the movie, he was so important.

  • the walker wasnt in the movie? now i really know its screwed like whow in eragon they forgot orik :P
