I'm so glad they changed his character a little bit in later seasons. I'm surprised they managed to stay popular enough to continue, seeing as how they made his character so arrogant and disagreeable in the beginning. It could have ruined it for some people. You can't do some things on "some" shows and get away with it, like Friends or Seinfeld probably could.
